The Starfish Cottage
|Per week||$1,600 - $4,950|
Just after you cross the North Bridge from the mainland onto fabulous Siesta Key and located in the coveted northern part of the Island among some of Siesta's wealthiest homes lies a charming beach cottage called the "The Starfish Cottage."
This newly remodeled and decorated cottage typifies the vintage beach cottages we always see in our mental image when considering a vacation at the beach. But this cottage is real...a beautiful yellow, single level five bedroom/four bath home. And as you would expect, The Starfish Cottage features a great pool surrounded by lush tropical Florida vegetation.
The circular paver drive beckons you into the privacy of the lush tropical grounds of this lovely 2700SF cottage with a metal standing seam roof. As you enter the entry door, you immediately note the beautiful old timey 2" hardwood floors throughout, the classic cased baseboards, ceiling moldings and window trim, tray ceilings, and a completely refinished kitchen with stainless equipment and sparkling granite counter tops with two sinks. The bathrooms are all bright and spotless with completely new fixtures, seamless shower doors, granite tops and tile floors.
Furnishings are tastefully done to capture the Florida cottage feel and are entirely colorful and completely new. The owners have done a spectacular job with décor and design insuring just the right sense of home here.
Please note there is an additional attached apartment suite. In this area, there is a Queen size bed, and the bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower head. There is also a separate kitchenette, with a refrigerator, microwave and sink. This area includes an enclosed sunroom. This part of the cottage is now included in the entire home, making Starfish Cottage a 5BR/4BA home!

Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in Siesta Key, Florida
Cute Beach Cottage
July 5, 2016
Our stay at the Starfish Cottage was very relaxing. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. The beach wagons and chairs were a great bonus and helped make our trips to the beach much easier. Our only complaint was that there was a very limited number of bath towels, silverware, and cookware. We had 10 people staying in the house and there wasn't enough silverware for all of us. We could have used another large pot for cooking. Also, there was no cold water in the house. All of the faucets had hot water, but we were not able to find a faucet with cold water.

Wonderful Time In Saint Pete Beach
April 2, 2016
We had a really great time in Saint Pete Beach, FL. The Starfish Cottage was beautiful home and we absolutely enjoyed our time on Spring Break. Here are a few take aways: - House was immaculate and beautifully designed - All we needed to begin our vacation was to show up (pillows, linens, towels, etc were all there) - Used the beach stroller to carry our stuff and went to the beach multiple times...about a 10 -15 minute walk - Pool area was very nicely decorated and shaded...very comfortable just to hang out and relax. - Enjoyed the SONOS system out by the pool...very cool - Only real downside was the hot tub. It was a cold tub. While we could have heated the hot tub for $500, I was not willing to spend that amount of money of something that I feel should have been hot (it is a HOT tub) - We opted not to use the golf cart. It looked super cool but you could really only take it on the side roads as it didn't have a license plate. Again not worth the $500 for the golf cart rental. Overall, it was a really nice vacation home and I'd highly recommend it (especially if I didn't have to pay $500 if I wanted the hot tub hot). We had our family of 4 and we would go back to the house and Saint Pete Beach tomorrow if we could :)

This was our first visit to Siesta Key, and it was a great experience. Our guess at a nice rental was warded with good luck. The condo was i excellent condition, comfortable, quiet, and within easy walk of the restaurants, shopping and beach. And the beach is georgeous! White sand, soft waves, not at all crowded, inspire of peak season.
