Description

PRIVATE STRUCTURE. Casina dei Pini is a country house dating back to 1860. It has been recently completely renovated and, in respect of the classical Tuscan tradition, ceilings with open-face beams and bricks have been retained whilst the floors and stairs have been lined with Tuscan travertine. The house offers a panoramic view from every side: the front looks out over the landscape of the Val di Chiana with the delightful borgo of Lucignano in the background whilst from the back of the house can be seen the top of the castle of Farnetella, an old medieval borgo. The house is built entirely in stone and is situated on the family farm in the heart of the fertile Val di Chiana. On the farm, whose main production is extra-virgin olive oil, guests can experience close contact with nature, taking part in the olive harvest and sampling, at the end of it, the good olive oil. The villa, located just minutes from the busy town of Sinalunga, is in a strategic position for daily excursions to the beautiful villages in the neighbourhood and for sampling the high quality food and wine, like the famous salami and the Tuscan Chianina beef.

Interior

The house has two floors. The main entrance leads on the left to the large living room with fireplace and satellite TV. The living room is connected by an archway to the large, well-equipped kitchen, with island, and to the dining area to form a single large open space. In the kitchen is a toilet housing the laundry. The ground floor has access to the outside through large French windows which, besides lighting up the rooms, lead to the outdoor furnished areas like the pool or the gazebo on the living room side and to the outdoor kitchen-dining area, located at the back of the house. The staircase in the living room leads to the upper floor (which can also be reached by an external staircase) composed of two double bedrooms (with extra single bed), one twin bedroom (with joinable beds), one double bedroom and one single bedroom. On this floor are also a box room, three bathrooms with shower and a toilet. The twin bedroom has access to a spacious and panoramic terrace, provided with seating space and sun umbrella.

Park

The park extends for about 3.5 hectares, distributed between lawn, olive grove and woodland which can be traversed on foot along paths and shady dirt roads. The park which surrounds the villa contains trees with unmistakable scents, typical of the Tuscan vegetation, like limes, plane trees and horse chestnuts. In the cosy flower garden in front of the house a gazebo is furnished with tennis table and living area; beside is a well equipped play area. At the back of the house, with access through a French window, is the outdoor dining/kitchen area with wood oven and barbecue, protected by a large veranda.

Swimming Pool

The pool, of recent construction, is about 20 metres from the house in a panoramic position overlooking the valley cultivated with olive trees. It is of rectangular shape with access to the water by Roman steps, it measures 5 x 10 m and has a varying depth of 1.20 to 1.80 m. it is lined in PVC with chlorine purification and is lighted both internally and externally. The pool border, as the entire surrounding solarium area, is paved with Tuscan travertine. The solarium area has an outdoor cold water shower and is provided with sunbeds and sun umbrellas allowing guests to spend relaxing days in the sun. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

For some periods (low and mid season) it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS. For these periods clients will be allowed to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients as soon as possible.
