Stayed the weekend for LSPR. Rented the large Chris cottage and it was great! Highly recommend! Very friendly owners!

Great piece of property. Nice distance separating each cabin. Beds were very comfortable. Cabin was super clean...including bathroom and kitchen. Surrounding area very quiet. The owners were extremely friendly, organized, attentive and informative. Water was expectantly cold so the kids loved using the paddle boat. Only suggestion would be to have a kayak or canoe to also use. Had a very relaxing vacation. Would be fun to go back with other family members staying in the other two cabins. Very, very, very pleased!

Owner's reply:

Awesome guests--thank you so much for your kind words!! Summer came late this year for us, so the bay has been slow to warm. Each day with sunshine and warmth is helping to remedy that. The suggestion for a kayak or two for guests use is well taken; acquiring a couple kayaks is definitely on our priority list. Hope the Harmon family chooses us for a return stay!

Review of Chris Cabin

September 27, 2013

We arrived on a Monday and had beautiful fall weather. Some mornings and evenings were perfect for the woodburning stove and the outside firepit. The water was cool, however as it was a fall color stay. The view was gorgeous each and every day, the water. The owner left brownies in the fridge for us and they were great. Also we had a meat pie from her ladies group from her church. There were plenty of magazines and papers detailing activities and events for the area. We did a few day grips, but wanted to relax and enjoy the feel of the UP and log cabin life. The Gabe's were wonderful hosts and we would highly recommend tbeir rentals. Dan and Linda Osborn

Owner's reply:

It is such a joy, whenever guests tell us (and others) about the enjoyable time they've had staying here; when they speak appreciatively about the beauty of our bay and surroundings, or the comfort of our facilities and the delight they've taken in discovering some of the little "extras" we try to provide, like homemade goodies awaiting their arrival.

So many amazing people have come into our lives--and among them, we include the Osborns. We thank them for their kind words! Joe & Bette
