Perfect anniversary getaway!
July 30, 2014
Spent a week at this cozy condo for our anniversary and it was just amazing. Within walking distance of the beach, on site pool and hot tub, and all the charm of South Lake Tahoe right outside your door. A bad storm took out the power the evening we arrived but Jeff was very diligent about keeping in touch to make sure the electricity and Internet got taken care of. The condo even had a plethora of candles to make the outage more romantic. While there we were within a short drive 9 shopping, restaurants, and Heavenly Village/Stateline. We took a day and hiked Mt. Tallac, which is also very close to the condos. With quiet residents and great views of the mountains, this condo complex is ideal for a relaxing getaway.

In a frenzied attempt at a last minute getaway, fortunately, there was VRBO and WONDERFUL Jeff and this beautiful hideaway in South Lake Tahoe. Jeff was so great over the phone prior to our leaving with loads of information about the condo, logistics and recommendations. I felt like I was talking to a friend! As for the condo itself - its perfect for two or a small family. The kitchen is fully stocked (slightly "cozy" but ok as long as one person just stays the heck out!), the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom and shower just right... Since we visited slightly off season, it was still cold so I loved that there was a space heater and loads of blankets ready to to go in the closet. My honey remarked - "man, it really feels like home here"...and not in a way where you feel like you are staying in someone else's home...but that it's truly yours. It's a perfect middle ground for access to hikes around south tahoe (incl cascade falls, emerald bay, vikingsholm etc) and just a blink from fallen leaf lake and the mt tallac trailhead. Jeff provides hiking guides in the condo as well...which was great when a lot of our best laid plans were waylaid by the unpredictable weather. We made it work. Even more awesome? Jeff offers discounts for repeat customers. That means, we're coming again in July! Yay. Thanks so much for the stay, we look forward to coming back!
