Description from owner

This large oceanfront cottage is perfect for your Maine family vacation. It includes two master bedroom suites with king-sized beds and private bathrooms with showers. One of these suites is on the main level and is handicapped accessible. The other is on the private second floor. The third floor is an entirely separate suite and includes a living room overlooking the ocean, a bathroom, and two bedrooms: one with a king size bed and another with two twin beds.

On the main floor you'll find very large living, dining, and sitting areas plus a sunroom and decks perfect for group activities and quiet conversations.

The kitchen and laundry are fully equipped.

Drink your morning coffee watching the sunrise on the oceanfront deck. Spend your days exploring sea life among the rocks, watching the seals and seabirds, walking in the woods, or watching the lobster boats out front.

The clear night sky is filled with stars close enough to touch. Fall asleep listening to the water lap at the shore. Antiquing, fine dining, museums, fairs and festivals, hiking and golf are just a sample of many ways to spend the day - if you can tear yourself away!

This house is wonderful for mult-generational family vacations with space for all!

“Gigi's bucket list”

Wonderful vacation with my sisters and mom. Just sitting on the deck was relaxing. We made wonderful memories driving from Portland to Acadia. Beds were comfy and the view was beautiful. Was just what we were hoping for:)

“Our 1st family one week vacation together.........”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2015

When we walked into the cottage and stood at the top of the stairs, we said, "this can't be ours, it is sooo beautiful". At the top of the stairs, you see the kitchen, dining room, living room and immediately ahead of you, sliding glass doors and beyond that;;;;;;an incredible view of the ocean with an American flag in front of you, on the rocks. Incredibly beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked, the dining room table seats 10, the living room has plenty of cozy over stuffed chairs along with a couch to match. There is a little sitting room off the living room where you will find a cozy couch and stuffed chair, along with a small table and four chairs. (we reserved this cozy room for puzzles, reading and knitting) It is finished in knotty pine. Each of the bedrooms (there are four) has its own bath, and plenty of closets. The little sitting room and second floor bedroom are finished in Knotty Pine. There is a washer and dryer also. The outside deck goes all the way across the front and along one side of the cottage. If you want a WONDERFUL vacation, this is the place you want to be.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your glowing review, Patty. I am so glad you enjoyed your vacation and our cottage!

“very nice spot on the rocky Maine coast”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2014

The house is right on the rocky shore of a quiet bay, with a lovely island view. We enjoyed watching local lobstermen tending their traps and a few sailboats in the bay...even a couple of container ships and a large fishing vessel way out past the closer islands. (You need binoculars for this.) We managed to hit several of the wonderful local eateries, though their hours were somewhat limited during our September vacation; most seem to be closing at the end of the month. We shared the cottage with another couple and found that it worked well. The first floor bedroom is obviously the prize spot, and whoever is lucky enough to get it can watch the moon and the sunrise over the water right from their bed. Lots of "touristy" things are within a comfortable drive. We did a few of them, but were mostly happy staying put. Except, of course for going out for lobstah, clams, and more lobstah.
