Southampton Village is part of the summer colony known as The Hamptons, and is generally considered one of the area's two most prestigious communities.
Southampton Village boasts great ocean beaches including Cooper's Beach which was listed amongst America's top beaches according to the annual list compiled by Dr. Stephen Leatherman, AKA Dr. Beach.
To quote Dr. Beach’s article about Southampton “Unspoiled beaches, a charming village center, exclusive shops and exquisite dining have made Southampton a perfect blend of sprawling beaches, private estates and just enough places to "be seen" to satisfy the upper crust. Seven-plus miles of unspoiled shoreline, windswept dunes and waving grasses beckon visitors to escape to the Atlantic. The beaches here are perfect and secluded, irresistible to seekers of solace and plenty of art and culture back in town”.
Southampton, first settled by English Puritans in 1640 is, along with Southold on the North Fork, one of the two oldest English settlements in the state of New York.
Much of the charm of Southampton is due to it’s history and many well preserved historic buildings. Several districts of the village and surroundings are listed on the National Historic Register.
Southampton is within easy driving distance of New York City via the Long Island Expressway or by luxury bus on the Hampton Jitney. The Long Island Railroad also serves the Hamptons. The nearest major airport is Long Island MacArthur, 41 miles distant but there are several local airports suitable for small planes within 10 – 20 miles.

Five Star Anniversary Weekend Getaway
April 21, 2015
My husband and I stayed here last June for our anniversary and had a five star vacation. The house is close to water, wineries and has lots to offer like bicycling through rolling hills and beautiful scenery. This house is a charmer with a gravel patio that has a water view in the front of the house and a patio in the back. The interior has been renovated and is immaculate. Lots to do nearby on the North Fork makes this a relaxing getaway for singles or families, especially at night when the peace and quiet settles in. We cannot wait to visit again this summer!
Can't wait to return

Just love this sweet house. Everything was so clean and believe me, I am a neat freak!! Newly painted and every room is so nicely done and welcoming. Great spot to hang out in the back but my favorite was lounging in the chairs in the front, looking across to the water and hearing nothing but quiet....
