Description of the Steamboat Springs vacation townhouse rental
This beautiful Mountaineer home is affordable, spacious yet warm and cozy, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and provides distinctive amenities including a free private on-call shuttle service.

The Mountaineer is located on the mountain and fewer than 400 yards from the ski base and gondola so you can easily walk to the mountain. When you stay in our home you don't need a car as the Mountaineer provides a free private on-call shuttle. Put your ski gear on in the garage and the shuttle will pick you up on the driveway - our guests have told us they love this service when younger skiers want to return to the house mid-day to swim in the pool or relax in the hot tub. The shuttle will also take you to restaurants and shops mid-day and in the evening.

The architecture of the Mountaineer homes is in the western lodge style with impressive pine logs throughout the unit, vaulted ceilings, two-story windows, and a spectacular stone-and-wood fireplace.

4 bedrooms (upper level master with king; main floor with queen; lower level bunk room with four adult-sized twin beds; and lower level queen) with 4 adjacent baths accommodate 10 guests. A pullout queen sleeper in the loft accommodates 2 more guests. (This bed affords the best morning views of the mountain!)

The main floor gathering spaces include a large living room with comfortable seating, adjacent kitchen with bar seating for 5, and a dining area that easily seats 8 guests and will accommodate 14.

The deck off the living room faces the mountain and has a Weber grill and private hot tub.

The "foodie" kitchen provides upscale appliances and all of the tools you need for baking, cooking and grilling. Dishes and cutlery for twenty people are provided. Enjoy heated floors with thermostats in each room.

The two-car garage is heated as are the driveway and the Mountaineer road so your dash to the heated pool and hot tubs across the street will be comfortable in the winter!

All linens, quilts, duvets and much of the furniture and appointment are new in 2013. Your pillowcases will be freshly ironed!

The unit is fully stocked with shower, kitchen, paper and laundry supplies, four hair dryers, hair irons, and an iron and ironing board.

Our cleaners use only natural cleaning products, the vacuum has HEPA filters and the bathroom and kitchen surfaces are steam-cleaned to insure your good health and peace of mind.

We provide high-speed internet, free wifi, cable TV and wii. The main floor is wired for sound so bring your music!

We returned to this unit for the second year in a row. Now with new owners. Everything was again terrific. This year we even had magnificent snow conditions. The new owners have not reduced the opulence, cleanliness or furnishings of the unit in any way. Highly recommend for anyone vacationing in Steamboat Springs.

My Family and I visited Steamboat in early February and had the opportunity to stay at Greg and Cindy's "Mountaineer" Townhome. It was absolutely fantastic! I called the owner upon arrival to let him know that the pictures of their home do not do it justice. It is beautiful inside, much larger and more comfortable than we had expected with every amenity you could think of, provided for you. The home is meticulously cleaned, decorated and cared for and it shows. The beds were quite comfortable and of course the hot tub on the deck was a big hit after a day of skiing. Sitting in it with your red solo cup watching the snow fall all around was just perfect. We all enjoyed the heated garage and large bench for putting on your boots and transitioning from ski wear to house wear. One of our favorite features was the shuttle bus provided as part of the rental that takes you the five minute ride to and from the slopes at all hours of the day. With little ones in our party, it provided them and the less diligent skiers the means to return home when hunger or tiredness (or the call of the hot tub) drove them from the slopes. During the midday hours and evening hours the shuttle is on call and will take you to restaurants, grocery or anywhere in town. Another unique feature of this fabulous home is that the entire driveway is heated and melts the snow so you don't have to move it or track it in, really cool. Our entire family feels very fortunate that we found the "Mountaineer" for our stay in Steamboat and would definitely stay here again. The owners are very accessible and easy to work with and helped make our vacation a big success. Our thanks to both of you!

Our stay at this property was one the of best trips in Steamboat that our group has ever had. The accommodations was great for all individuals including singles and married couples. This property is very well equipped from kitchen to bathrooms. Having shuttle service to your door is definitely wonderful. When the group of us get a date for next year, I plan to rent it again. Thank you from all of us to the owners.

So many great options of places to stay, and we are so glad we chose this unit at the Mountaineer. It was spacious and bright and we loved having our own private hot tub. The shuttle to the mountain was so convenient, as was the heated garage where we would shed our stuff after a day of skiing, and where it would be waiting for us the next morning. It was nice to walk on the path to the nearby market where there were great sandwiches and a pretty good wine selection. The kids loved the outdoor pool, which was never crowded, and while we had many plans for exploring the area, once we were back from the day of skiing we found we just didn't want to leave the condo, the pool and the hot tubs! Kids played games most evenings and we all had our own space and bathrooms. Never felt crowded. The owners were very timely in responding to questions in advance and accommodated us by letting us store our things in the garage on our last day until our flight went out. Thank you!!

We just loved this place! Luxurious living spaces on different levels let all of us hang out together when we wanted to, or cocoon apart from the rest when we needed to. Only 2 blocks from the Gondola, and just 2 left turns to access the CORE bike trail (which we did using bikes borrowed from the hosts). Super convenient! Hot tubs and pool are sweet after a day on the trails. The gas grill and the fully-outfitted Foodie kitchen let those who wanted to cook show off their culinary skills on those nights when we "stayed in." Easy, free bus access another bonus for the nights we went out. Love it!

Great place to enjoy a mountain vacation. The listing description was very accurate. Close enough to walk to the market and restaurants. Property was clean and well maintained. Very nice to have the owner call when we arrived to see if we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tubs which are right across the driveway. We loved the great restaurants in Steamboat, especially the ones along the river where you can watch the tubers float by. Some of our favorites were Sweet Pea, Boathouse Pub, The Laundry, Rex's Grill and Mahogany Ridge Brewery. Definitely recommend this property!

On behalf of the BBB's (Books, Bottles and Babes) let me first Thank You for opening your beautiful home to us and greeting us with such a lovely welcoming gift and note. Your home was more than we expected. All beds and furniture were very comfortable and enough to accommodate our group of 10. I have never seen a home so well stocked and accommodating like yours. Very clean and well-maintained.Your home gave us the time to enjoy each-others company and to experience Steamboat. We hiked Fish Creek Falls; soaked ourselves at Strawberry Park Springs; shopped the streets of Steamboat and indulged at the Wine Festival (Friday Aug. 9th - Stroll of Steamboat). We even got our picture taken for one of the papers up there. Don't know if it got published or not. The festival was fantastic!! Great times!!

Wow, our group of 11 just returned from Steamboat. This entire set up, with location and accommodation, is exceptional. The condo is big, in perfect condition, and the location and shuttle service (to anywhere in the Steamboat area) was excellent, and the drivers are great. To top it off the kitchen and bar has every accouterment that you need to cook and imbibe. This is a great property!

My hubby works for United Airlines so I'll have him post a link on airline employee blog of places to stay. We would highly recommend it. Thanks so much for everything!

We rented this unit group of 3 couples and 2 children for an early Spring ski trip to Steamboat. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to work with. The layout was great with a bathroom for every bedroom and the kids really enjoyed the bunk bed room. We did a lot of cooking and were very pleased with the kitchen. The deck is a nice bonus that includes seating, a great grill and a private hot tub. The unit is located in a complex near the ski hill with door to door shuttle service to the slopes and downtown Steamboat Springs. A common pool and two hot tubs is also located only steps from the unit. We would definitely rent again on our next trip to Steamboat.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Steamboat this summer, especially because of Greg and Cindy's beautiful townhome. Everything was perfect. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, roomy, and very nicely decorated with great amenities. Greg and Cindy provided detailed information on their home which made our visit smooth and hassle free. We had a family reunion at this location and were able to enjoy Steamboat and all it had to offer in an absolutely perfect home. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a vacation in Steamboat, and hope to stay there again sometime in the future.

Our Christmas 2014 was made truly exceptional by the outstanding accomodations provided by Greg and Cindy. We had 3 generations of travelers, most of whom had not been to Steamboat previously. We found the attention to detail outstanding and the layout of the home to be perfectly suited to our varied family needs. From heated floors to special soaps, a kitchen filled with most everything needed to prepare and present special holiday meals to the welcome basket we received on arrival, Greg and Cindy's home was spectacular! I was impressed with the assortment of games, dress up gear and access to unique things to do. It was a video game-free home yet not once did I hear "I'm bored!". We would love to return someday and definitely developed a fondness for the area, largely due to the extraordinary accomodations we experienced.

Everything about our stay here was outstanding. Greg was flexible, responsive, and easy to work with. The condo is gorgeous, comfortable and stocked with everything you could possibly need. There are lots of extras such as shampoo & body wash in the bathrooms, every kitchen utensil you would ever need and tons of towels for the hot tub & pool. The shuttle is just a phone call away, and picks you up in the driveway and takes you to and from the mountain and also into to town if you like. We never needed to use our car while we were there. Love the private hot tub - as well as the community hot tub & pool which is literally right across the driveway. We will definitely stay here again next time we travel to Steamboat!

Friends of ours stayed at this property last year and I was able to stop in and visit. We we started planning a trip with our family, I immediately thought of this townhouse. It exceeded expectations. It was extremely comfortable, exceptionally clean, and had anything you could ask for in the kitchen. I would highly recommend anyone with a larger party looking to stay in Steamboat for a few days to this house! My only note, the fold out bed was not comfortable, you can feel the bar underneath right under your back. We thankfully had enough beds that no one had to use it, but the mattress is very thin. So if you are anticipating having others use this bed options, make sure they bring a camp mat to go over!

Our group of 9 people had the most wonderful time at this house. From the cleanliness to completeness and comfort, you couldn't ask for anything more. Additional bonus included personal hot tub, boot dryer(awesome!!) and the fact you can get to slope via shuttle from the driveway. We would come back anytime. I had left an item behind and the owners were gracious enough to send it to me! Now, that's called awesome service!!

This was one of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed in. You can tell how much the owners care about their property and want their guests to thoroughly enjoy it as well. We had a fairly large group staying here, but it's so spacious and spread out on 3 levels that we had more than enough space, and it never felt crowded. We want to come back and stay in the exact house again. Beautiful place. Centrally located. Nothing but wonderful things to say!!!

Pictures don't do this property justice. Beautiful accommodations with more than enough room for a few families. Includes all the upgrades to make you feel a bit more spoiled and is well stocked with all the essentials from the kitchen to the bathrooms! And with a hot tub and grill on the deck (pool just steps out the front door) no reason to leave. The bunk beds were the selling point for us...the kids loved having their own room and it gave the adults some additional space. Great property, great location...we'll be back!

We brought our exchange student up to Steamboat for a few days to show him more of Colorado while he was here and this home was perfect for our needs. The boys both had rooms downstairs where it was quieter so they could sleep in, our daughter was on the main level and we thoroughly enjoyed the master upstairs. The house was well stocked - I was pleasantly surprised as the last condo I rented in Estes was barren. The home was very clean and had plenty of towels for us to enjoy the hot tub and pool, although we didn't make it past the hot tub on the deck! I would recommend this home to anyone needing more space and wanting some separation from each other. We will consider this home again the next time we head up to the area.
