Peaceful relaxation

April 10, 2016

This house was a perfect homebase for exploring the area. My husband and son skied Stevens Pass while my Mom, my daughter and I enjoyed the river and scenery. We all took a gorgeous hike up to bridal veil falls. Great family hike! Hard for the 3 year old but she still did it!! The house was clean and cozy and had plenty of room and privacy for all 5 of us. Beds were super comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. The views were stunning and the area was quiet. We felt like we were the only ones around. The kids she's 5 & 3 safely rode their bikes all around. They did not want to leave. The availability of staff for questions or assistance was great. I had plenty of changes and questions before we left. Everyone was helpful and eager to respond. I was a little afraid that the house would smell like dog since it was a pet friendly rental. But you would never know a dog had ever been in the house. Totally clean! Great place to stay if you like mountains, rivers, skiing and hiking. Peaceful!!

After Holidays Getaway

January 30, 2016

I go away for a weekend with a friend & our dogs every January. This year we did something different and went up to the mountains. Found Mystic Mt cabins online and booked it. Was very happy with how the company was fast about getting back to my emails. Cabin was so amazing and dogs loved it too. Great location to get to Stevens Pass lodge, walking paths and river rafting spots. But even better was the peace and quiet for my post-holiday getaway. Between the comfy sofa, hot tub under the stars and the wood burning stove I was in heaven. Kitchen has everything you would need to make epic meals. Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Very happy with our experience and planning on coming back over summer for actual hiking and outdoor fun. Would highly recommend using this company for any of the locations.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

June 16, 2015

On a whim, my husband and I decided to rent a cabin for the weekend. We lucked out as this cabin was still available for the dates we chose. The pictures don't give justice to just how charming and beautiful this cabin truly is! We were very pleasantly surprised. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and do laundry. It was very clean and extremely peaceful / quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here!

I loved this cabin. Away from everything and everyone. Great cabin with all the comforts of home. Fireplace, TV, Internet but the ability to get away from all of that. I will definitely go back here.

We had a great time at this cabin, you feel like your a million miles away from everything, but its also nice to know that you are just a short drive to amenities if you have forgotten things! The view is just breathtaking, sitting in the hot tub overlooking the river is just the most relaxing way to spend an evening. The cabin itself is just the right size, although I woulnt recommend more than 4 people! It is a perfect way to unwind and relax, very happy to have found it and would love to go back in the snow!

What a great little gem in the woods... made for a great ski weekend with friends. Clean, comfy and quiet. The hot tub at night by the river and a blazing fire in the fire pit was amazing. The house was warm and inviting... all the comforts of home, and the dogs came too! Thanks for sharing your place.

Owner's reply:

Dan- Thank you so much for the kind words! Our White Water Retreat is one of our most popular ski cabins since it's so close to the resort, and we agree- those moments in the hot tub by the river under the stars are memorable. We would love to help you and your friends (and pets!) plan your next trip to our area and look forward to hearing from you again!

My wife, my dog, and I loved the Cabin. The view and just general ambiance were breathtaking. We just adored sitting on the deck relaxing and taking in everything. On top of that the location is great. Gold Bar is just a hop skip and a jump away and there are a ton of great hiking trails in the area. We are already planning on staying at the same cabin in the future!

Owner's reply:

Thank you, Ryan! We are so glad you all enjoyed your relaxing stay at Prospector's Bend Cabin, and were able to experience the amazing natural surroundings. It's always a treat for us to hear about how our guests enjoyed their stay and look forward to returning. :)

Knew from the moment we arrived that it was going to be a perfect get away. The river gave away a roar that was hidden to a romantic whisper when we closed the doors. The cabin was perfect size for a romantic getaway for two. Wouldn't recommend any more than 2 couples to stay there. The cabin is in close proximity to Wallace Falls which is a great hike through the woods. (Bring a lunch, $10 for a discover pass and make sure you go no later then 1030AM before it gets busy). The swimming area was a short 2 minute walk from the cabin down the path. The hot tub was an ideal spot which over looked the river and added to the romance. Everything you need to cook was there for you. No complaints. We got to add a...... few wine corks to the drawers in the kitchen. Over all, the place was really neat and was worth every penny in a time when its important. Only issue was the heater. Maintenance took care of it and didn't really make it a hassle. He worked around your schedule, so I can't really complain too much. Thank you for a great weekend and I hope to do it again soon.... Weather is hit or miss.... I would say, visit in the summer!

We stayed for 2 nights and went skiing at Sevens Pass. It snowed almost 10 inches at the cabin, and the road in is winding and steep in places, so we were super glad to be in our Toyota pickup (without snow the road would be fine for any car). Our dogs enjoyed being included in the adventure. All in all- lovely secluded spot, hot tub is awesome, would definetly stay again.

We had the best time. We loved the cabin. It was all it showed to be on the net and more. We were secluded but still around some people. It had all the modern perks down to a dishwasher. We loved the bed and even the trains. We watched TV and connected with nature. The view was to die for, the hot tub was great. We were very pleased with everything and really hated to leave.

The pictures online don't do this justice! Within the hour of our arrival my husband and I were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waterfall. The next day, we took a little trail behind the cabin to find that we couldn't be more than 50 yards from the top of the waterfall. Simply beautiful! My husband and I stayed with another couple and their small child. We took the separate cabin and appreciated the time away from the kidlet.. While our friends appreciated having their own space too. The cabin was well appointed. It had everything we needed for our stay. We had a wonderful stay and even discussed making it an annual event. Thank you!

A well-appointed, comfortable cabin with amazing views and a hot tub in fantastic countryside, what more could anyone ask for? Although the cabin is conveniently close to all amenities, it feels totally private with no neighbours on one side, trees screening you from your other neighbours and a wide expanse of river and mountain in front of you. A railway line runs close by and we listened to long, long freight trains trundle by; it added to the chracter of the place for us; as did the chance to see eagles, osprey and humming birds. It was lovely waking up to the sound of the river rushing by and counting how many fisherpeople were stationed on the opposite bank. A perfect, romantic get-away-from-it-all-and-relax spot. We really enjoyed it and are happy to recommend it.

My family and I stayed at the Prospectors Bend Cabin and experienced nothing but the most high class treatment. The cabin was well supplied and in immaculate condition. We encountered no issues and were able to work out staying a little later the last day which helped out immensley since there were 6 people there. The river was beautiful, very high and raging throughout our stay and there is nothing in the world like being surrounded by mountain peaks on all sides of you. Plus there are great hiking trails all over this part of the cascades, which we took full advantage of.

Nice stay

July 29, 2008

Stayed at the Misty Moutain cabin in late July. Had a nice stay. The cabin was clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had a large variety of cookware and necessities. The bathroom had a VERY unpleasant odor, especially on the first day. Smelled like a possible sewage problem, and the toilet ran as well. Improvements that could be made are updated bed linens and beds upstairs. Great property though, with great lake access for fishing and plenty of chairs to relax in outside.

The cabin was nice, however, it wasn't as clean as most cabins we rent. We will be return visitors and look forward to trying a different cabin on our next trip. It appeared the cabin had not been used for some time and the garbage outside had been mounting to the point of having maggots in the trash cans (which were full to overflowing).

Hi All, Thanks for letting us stay at your vacation lodge! I surprised my girlfriend for her birthday and she said "it was her best birthday ever! ;)" It made it that much better that we could bring our dog Duke! I think he had just as much fun as we did! Us guys snowboarded on Saturday thanks to Dave getting us tickets and a price break! It made it easy! And the girls went into town for some girl time. I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone! Just wanted to put in a few words! We had a blast! Can't say enough about the place! It had everything we needed and more! Thanks again! -Calvin

We had a wonderful stay at Vista View Chalet. The area is so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin is sweet and cozy and we saw a gorgeous coyote in the front yard! We loved our stay here- it was a wonderful getaway from city life! Thanks for everything! -Donzelle & Thomas (Portland, OR)

After 8 long months with Dad in Iraq this place gave us a helping hand with bonding. We only have 2 weeks until he is ordered to return to his unit. This place is the definition of R&R. We played soccer w/ our children, caught up on sleep, and grilled out by the fire.Thank you God for the three days we can spend together as a family in such a quiet place.
