Description from owner

The Chinquapin vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks offers comfort and luxury both indoors and outdoors. This huge vacation home, set in a great cove location, is perfect for reunions, small business retreats or getaways with friends.

The 6,000-square-foot house boasts six bedrooms — four with king beds, one with a queen bed, and one room with 3 sets of bunk beds (plus two convertible sleep sofa beds if you need them) — and 5 and a half baths. You’ll have plenty of space to spread out and relax inside with two full kitchens, a large dining table, game room, electric fireplaces and a wet bar. The house is beautifully decorated, with vaulted pine ceilings, wood floors, and chandeliers.

Enjoy the breeze on the screened-in porch or take in the scenery while you grill on the BBQ from one of the upper-level decks.

Outside you’ll find plenty of deck space, including a martini deck, which offers beautiful views at the edge of the lake. Take advantage of the swim platform to take a dip on hot days. The 3-well dock makes boating easy, and a lift for boat and two personal watercraft (PWC) is included.

The property is centrally located, sitting on the 13-mile marker on Shawnee Bend in Sunrise Beach. Just across the community toll bridge is Osage Beach, where you’ll find plenty of activities and attractions, including a 110-store factory outlet mall, restaurants, water parks and much more.

Beds: 4 King Beds, 1 Double Bed, 10 Twin Beds

About the area

After visiting this beautiful region just once, you'll understand why over 3 million people visit the Lake of the Ozarks every year. The Lake can accommodate any interests from sunbathing to shopping, from golf to watersports, from dancing to a relaxing massage. The Lake of the Ozarks was built on May 30, 1931, and was the largest man-made lake in the world at that time. The lake originated from the construction of Bagnell Dam, which began on August 6, 1929 (four months before the stock market crash of 1929). Fortunately for Missourians, the Bagnell Dam project would bring growth and expansion to the area during the midst of the Great Depression. When completed, Bagnell Dam would create a lake that covers 57,000 acres and features 1375 miles of cove-indentured shoreline. Today, this shoreline is dotted with beautiful homes, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and shops. Many of the Lake's visitors are watersports fans. To accommodate these visitors, numerous marinas offer boats for rent. Boating fanatics can find every type of watercraft imaginable at the Lake including houseboats, ski boats, sail boats, bass boats, speed boats and wave runners. The Lake features several quiet coves that are great for a cool afternoon swim, sunbathing, or a few quick casts for bass, crappie, or catfish. If more action is on your mind, the main channel is a great place for skiing, tubing, or wakeboarding. When it's time to head back to shore, the fun doesn't have to end! The communities surrounding the lake feature a variety of activities to suit every interest. Whether you're a kid or a kid-at-heart, you'll revel in the variety of amusement parks, miniature golf courses, go-carts and horseback riding trails that the region has to offer. Also check out the helicopter and sea plane rides, local caves, shops, and festivals, or take a tour of Bagnell Dam. The Lake area is quickly becoming the Midwest's primary golf destination, and features over 180 holes of championship golf. From beginner to pro, the variety of courses at the Lake will challenge every player, amidst the serene backdrop of the Ozark Mountains. Vacationers love a good meal, and the Lake area will not disappoint! Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a candlelit bluff top meal, the Lake has the dining experience for you. While the Ozarks specialize in BBQ and fish, you can easily find cultural fare, including Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Japanese. For a quick meal, grab a burger, a catfish basket, or a BBQ pork sandwich. Top it all off with some homemade fudge or a banana split at one of the many ice cream parlors. Dinner can range from a perfectly grilled steak to lobster to pasta. Keep in mind that the Lake of the Ozarks isn't just a summer destination. The Ozark Mountains are famous for their fall foliage, which is a beautiful sight from the calmer waters of the Lake. The milder autumn temperatures are excellent for a round of golf, or a hike through the woods. Winter features soft snowfall, cozy evenings by the fire, and candlelit dinners with a view of the still Lake waters. The area's numerous shops, including the 110-store Factory Outlet Village, are the perfect source for all your holiday shopping needs. Relax from a busy day of shopping with a massage or cuddle up by the fire with a good book. “Great home!! Great location!!”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2015

We stayed at this property on Labor Day weekend, and the house was great!! It was very accommodating for our group. It has two large living areas with two full kitchens! The oversized dock overlooks at large cove. All the bedrooms have either an attached bathroom or an adjacent one right next to it. With all the different decks and living space, you can have a large group and not feel on top of each other. The best part is the views!! All but one of the bedrooms have sliding doors to lookout onto the lake with deck access!! The living spaces have huge windows, and every morning the lake literal shines right into the house!! I really recommend this property, and my friends and family who attended this year are already talking about reserving the house next year!! Great home!!

“BEAUTIFUL LAKE HOUSE!!”

Reviewed 27 May 2015

Our family of 9 stayed at this beautiful home over Memorial Day Weekend. We had so much room to hang out if we wanted to all be together or have our own space. The bedrooms were very roomy and the bathrooms for each couple were great!! We really enjoyed the Hot Tub and sitting on the dock watching the boats and jet skis! This home was exquisitely decorated, fresh paint and new floorcovering throughout! Just GORGEOUS!!! This is a great home for a family get-away or couples!! We will definitely come back!!! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!!

“Thanksgiving”

The house was great; our only problem was that the main oven would not stay on which was a little inconvenient at Thanksgiving, but we still managed to have a great feast!

Me and family spent 5 days at this house and was surrounded by wonderful neighbors and a great manger, who was very patient with us all snce this was our first family vacation. This hose was huge and spacious for u all. The view was great with all those windows surrounding the house, beside the incident we had this house was fit for a king or queen and there family, as well I hope you enjoy this house as much as grandkids did.

“Perfect & More than expected!”

I cannot begin to express how great this home was for my entire family. My in laws and my family were together the entire break of Thanksgiving. Children from 6 years to 16 and adults from 19 to 74. We served over 20 for Thanksgiving dinner and 15 spent the entire weekend. Plenty of room, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, trays, refrigerators, linens on & on.. I have never rented a place that was so well stocked and very clean! There was even a ping pong table which was a complete surprise! My family all went on & on about how great the home was and the view. My mother uses a wheelchair & walker and the 1st floor was all accessible. GREAT home & management staff. Would definitely rent this home again or any rental from these owners. Directions were perfect ~ the only thing that was wrong was the amount of the toll but I am guessing that changed recently! Thanks for sharing a beautiful home.

“Great place for multiple families!”

We really enjoyed our short stay at Chinquapin. We had 3 families and 12 people all together with plenty of space to spare. The home was beautiful, and we enjoyed both living areas. Only small complaint is that we couldn't get the hot tub hot enough, but that doesn't diminish how much fun we had. The location was great. We were surprised how close the mall, restaurants, etc. really were to us.
