Best cottage on the north shore!!!
5 of 5
This cottage was amazing. I was there for a week and it was hands down one of the most comfortable and welcoming places I have yet to stay. There is nothing more beautiful than the beaches that are a very short walk from the cottage and the owner's provide everything you need to enjoy your day on the beach. The best is the awesome bath tub after a long day on the beach followed by a very quiet nights sleep. This cottage offers everything anyone would need for a get away :)

Ideal vacation rental

We found this cottage to be exactly as described in the listing and more. It's well maintained and the location is ideal for easy access to great beaches, snorkeling, surfing, and anything else you could desire for your Hawaiian vacation. Aaron and Anna have equipped the place with everything you could possibly need or want. We found it to be the pefect place for a much needed vacation and highly recommend.

Absolutely as Advertised!
5 of 5
This "cottage" (actually a beautiful house) was perfect for our beach vacation! All of the amenities and extras were exactly as stated in the property descriptions. We loved the location, the privacy, and the absolutely beautiful landscaping and surroundings. The house was spotless and very well-maintained. If you're looking for a laid-back, quiet, uncrowded and perfect beach vacation, then this is the place for you to stay. Fantastic beaches, snorkeling, and great views are all over the place within just minutes of the property. Owners Aaron and Anna were extremely gracious and very helpful with local "tips" and ideas for visitors. We highly recommend this property and would rent it again without hesitation. We've already recommended it to friends!

The Perfect North Shore Getaway
5 of 5
If you're reading this, you're looking for a spot to relax on the North Shore of Hawai'i. Book this place!!! The house is spectacular, the location is prime and the owners, so welcoming. Our experience during our stay exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived to an open, spacious and extremely clean 2 story home with vaulted ceilings, updated decore, a full and updated kitchen, spotless bathroom, cozy 2nd level bedroom, and a spacious lanai with a new gas grill. Bikes, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a boogie board were all available for our use. The tropical palms, flowers and other island flora and fauna that adorn the property are just magnificent! The house is less than a 7 min bike ride to shark's cove (best spot to snorkel on Oahu), Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, and several of the best surf breaks in the world. The closest beach is right behind the house, a 4 min walk. Aaron and anna are the best host and that added so much to our positive experience on the North Shore. Thanks you two. Much love and aloha.

Spent 6 days in this cottage and we did not want to leave. Owners are very pleasant and made sure we had everything. Short walk down block to beach and sharks cove. Food land within walking distance. Cottage is very clean and comfortable. We will return again!

The property was true to the description, and Aaron was a real cool guy, and helpful.

We would recommend this 1 bedroomed to anyone, it was clean, tidy, comfortable, and well equipped.

A short walk to the most beautiful beach.

We loved it, and wished we could have stayed longer.

Hopefully we will be back to spend longer next time.

Our gracious host Aaron (pronounced air - in ) (Aussie humour) was fantastic and very helpful in explaining local attractions and surf breaks. The unit is private and our host was not in the least bit invasive available only of we needed him. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The unit is completely self contained and quite luxurious. Great kitchen for cooking ! Beautiful location, stones throw from the water and 10 min walk from what is unarguably ( you cant argue about it is the best) the north shores best snorkelling spots. Nearby local culinary delight is the Ahi fish burger and fish curry! We only wish we had more time to stay at this wonderful abode. Nearby drive to turtle bay where we actually did see turtles and nearby drive to Haleiwa Shops home of the shaved ice and amazing shopping! Very cute shops. Sunset aptly named we saw amazing sunsets

North Shore Happiness for two newlyweds!
5 of 5
Outstanding rental for the couple or small family looking for all the comforts of home, with north shore activities a nine iron away. Arron and Anna are great host! They really share the Aloha and north shore vibe, and give you all the right tips to make the most of what you are looking to enjoy. The little beach out back is a little more than that. It is a secluded all day retreat that you would rarely share with more than ten people. The beach is also Ideal for nightly sunset viewing. With the bicycles that are provided, you can park the car and go for miles in either direction if your endurance allows for it. I could go on and on. The fact is that what Arron and Anna advertise is all there and then some. My wife and I will be returning and we suggest that others make it a must stay location.

short stay, wonderful experience
5 of 5
Like pretty much every review has mentioned, Aaron and Anna were very hospitable and helpful. My wife and I only stayed for 3 nights, but we had a lot planned, and we received very good tips on where to shop, dine, hang out, and enjoy the North Shore to its fullest. This cottage has pretty much unbeatable location -- quiet neighborhood that's pretty much a street corner away (~5 minutes on foot) from an extensive but relatively secluded beach (in September). Even though this is a quiet neighborhood, it is still very convenient to get necessities at the local Foodland (1-minute drive). Of course, the cottage is already stocked with loads of useful items: kitchen/grill utensils (with outdoor grill), spices, books, movies, etc. We also made good use of the bikes and snorkeling gear provided for us. This location is just 40 minutes from Honolulu, so you certainly have the option to check out bustling parts of the island while being able to have a peaceful stay if you choose.

GREAT find on the North Shore...
5 of 5
My wife and I just stayed at Aaron and Anna's great little coach house/beach house - rare to get a one bedroom 2 level house that gives you so much space for the very fair price. SUPER clean and tiddy with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We will be recommending to our friends and staying again.

We stayed for a week in September and had a fantastic time. Aaron and Anna made sure our stay was worry free and that we had everything we needed. The cottage is immaculate, and located a short 2-3 minute walk from the beach. We enjoyed cooking on the new gas grill and eating on the deck, bicycling to Ted's Bakery, and walking to Shark's Cove to snorkel. The North Shore offers a relaxing get-away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, with lots to see and do, and many, many great places to eat. The cottage has all the amenities, including satellite TV, DVD player, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc., and a cozy loft for the master bed. We would go back tomorrow if we could. Thanks Aaron and Anna for a great time.

A delightful little spot for a low key North Shore vacation. We loved being so close to Ke Iki beach, the bike/walking path and Sharks Cove. Ke Iki Beach Hale has everything you need and nothing you don't. The best ingredients for a laid back and simple get away. Thanks Aaron and Anna!

This is the perfect place to stay at the North Shore. We arrived and felt right at home after a friendly Welcome from Aaron. The cottage is beautiful: nice furniture, a very well equipped kitchen, a big barbeque on the Lanai and everything spotless. The location couldn't be better.Go for a morning walk at the perfect beach, grab the bikes for a ride to another beach if you need some change. We hardly used the car while we were there.

Fantastic time in paradise
5 of 5
We had such a wonderful time at Ke Iki Beach House. My husband, son and I had a great time staying up in the N. Shore. Aaron was such a great help with food recommendations and places to visit. The house is well stocked with everything you need to cook with and is very cozy to come back to after a very hard lay of lounging at the beach. Foodland is walking distance and the town of Haleiwa is not too far away. My family had a photo shoot at Sunset Beach and our photographer grew up a few houses down from this beach house. I can't recommend this house enough...or maybe I shouldn't. What a perfect hidden gem in the N. shore. We hope to be back soon. Thanks Aaron and Anna for your great hospitality. Mahalo.

Perfect vaction!!!!

This beach house was perfect for us. It was cute and clean and had everything we needed. Aaron was there when we arrived and was able to give us good suggestions on what to see since it was our first time in Oahu. We loved staying on the North Shore away from all the crowds of Waikiki. It was a very short walk down to the beach. This beach wasn't a great place for us to play in the water, since the waves were a little strong for us when we were there, but is was beautiful to look at. (If you are used to the ocean, you could probably swim here.) There is a bike/walking path at the end of the driveway that goes a few miles. We rode Aaron's bikes on the path down to Ted's Bakery a couple of times. Yum! Don't miss the chocolate hopia pie. This was our first time to use VBRO, and I was a little nervous about it, but we had such a good experience that I'll definitely try it again. If we ever get to come back to Oahu, we would stay at Aaron and Anna's beach house in a heartbeat.

This place totally ROCKS! It's beautiful, airy, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood. We could see stars at night--lots of them. Of course the beach is stunning. Aaron and Anna are wonderful hosts and the property is filled with peaceful energy. I recommend it a million times over (though I don't want so many people to book it that we won't be able to rent it the next time we go back :-)). You can't pass this up! My husband was born and raised in the North Shore area, and he gives this place a 20 out of 10.

Highlight of our Stay
5 of 5
Staying here was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Hawaii from Australia. The cottage was a great design, clean, very well appointed and in a fantastic location. Owners were friendly and very helpful, but also respected our privacy. Loved using the bikes provided on the local cycle track which ran parallel to the beaches. Owners also recommended local restaurants, which were fantastic. And really enjoyed that laid-back coastal vibe of the north shore. Would definitely recommend to others and hope to return some day.

LOCATION and QUALITY, that is what this property is about and why it has drawn us back for the fourth time from the UK for another 2 month stay. A private, secluded and secure position only 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach, on the bike path, walking distance to Foodland as well as some exceptional food trucks and a short cycle to all the best that the North Shore has to offer.

The property is uniquely designed, a standout from other rentals. Well maintained and spotlessly clean, it has traditional Hawaiian and Indonesian furniture and furnishings, which blend with state of the art technology and appliances. The owners have constantly upgraded the property on each of our visits, maintaining a high standard of comfort and equipment. From a Bose home theatre system, to wi-fi and blue tooth audio system. We have not found anywhere to beat it.

The owners, Anna and Aaron, are the most experienced and obliging homeowners, you might just want to take them home to be your neighbours! Even for frequent visitors like us, they keep on top of new places to visit, eat and explore.

You will be drawn back, again and again, that's the risk you take once you've been!

Tip-top accommodations on the North Shore!
5 of 5
Who can possibly choose hotel rooms when a place like this is available? The photos & descriptions of Ke Iki Beach Hale are spot on. The TV/stereo system is terrific, the furniture is lovely, the bed is comfortable, the tradewinds keep the place cool, but there is a/c if necessary. In fact, there is much more available than we expected (kitchen supplies, bountiful plush towels, access to the washer/dryer, movies). Upon my initial contact, the owner was prompt & informative w/ our communication, & this continued throughout our stay - in fact, he is very knowledgeable & helpful regarding beach/surf conditions. Walking the long stretch of beach & watching the surfers each morning is a real treat. The local Foodland grocery store is conveniently located, & Haleiwa offers many restaurants (don't miss Opal Thai & The Grass Skirt). We will be back!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and a better landlord. The house was comfortable and location was perfect. It was within walking or bike riding distance to most of the great North Shore surf spots, Shark's Cove and Waimea Bay. All of their suggestions for places to eat and things to do were on point and created new and memorable experiences for us. We appreciate Aaron and Anna's warmth and friendly hospitality. We will definitely come back to the Ke Ike Beach Hale for our next North Shore vacation!

Honeymoon Hideaway

We had an excellent stay here as part of our honeymoon. Great location, lots of amenities, very cozy! Aaron & Anna were great, very responsive & accommodating. The location couldn't be beat! We were in a good location between Haliewa, Turtle Beach, and all the beaches in between. We had some local friends & their kids over for a BBQ and we were able to catch up on some laundry. We didn't get a chance to take advantage but there were also bikes and coolers provided. Any questions/concerns we had were immediately handled by Aaron & Anna. All in all this is a great place to stay, would highly recommend & will definitely stay here the next time we visit!

My family stayed here on our very first trip to Hawaii, and Oahu. Excellent location, beautiful property, clean, and very well maintained. Owners provided everything we needed for our stay. They seem go go out of their way to provide an outstanding stay. The beach is just a minutes walk away. We went snorkeling just down the street and saw a huge turtle.Shopping and local seafood trucks also within walking distance. I really see no need to go anywhere else. I would highly recommend these owners and their property. Thank you for a great vacation.

Three-Peat Guest Brings Newbies
5 of 5
This was my third time renting this property, and by far my most significant trip as I was in town for my wedding. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, relaxing atmosphere to prepare before, and unwind after the big event. The house is perfectly situated in a gated, well maintained area. It is just a short walk to one of the most breathtaking beaches that you will ever come across. Another thing that I love about this beach is that it is certainly not crowded as is the case with many of the other beaches around the island.

The house is nicely decorated with an island flare. It has all of the comforts of home, including bicycles, washer and dryer, beach chairs, paper products for the kitchen and bathroom, as well as a very nice sound system for the television. The house is extremely clean, and I have rather high standards in this department, and is landscaped very nicely. Bugs tend to be an issue in most tropical environments, but I have never found any bugs in this house on any of my visits.

As I have already mentioned, this was my third time renting this house, and I can't wait to do so again. This was my husband's first time, as well as my father's. Both of them loved the house as much as I do and are looking forward to a return visit. Anna and Aaron, the owners of the property, are the nicest, friendliest people to work with. They are conveniently located right next door, so are available to address any of your questions or concerns. Great people, great place!!!

Excellent location on North Shore
5 of 5
When we walked into the rental for our two-week vacation, we saw a welcoming house that looked as it did in the pictures at the time of booking. I was happy to see how accurate the descriptions and pictures were. Throughout our stay, we found everything that we would want. From many soft towels in the bathroom and for the beach to an unobtrusive yet effective overhead fan to cool the living areas, the items in the well-maintained home and grounds had been provided with comfort in mind. The kitchen was equipped for cooking fully or for making simple things like smoothies and French-press coffee in the morning. We enjoyed streaming media wirelessly on the big screen TV (brought our Chromecast) but the cable with Bose sound was good too. Wireless music streamed well too. There also were some items available for snorkeling and biking on the path right at the top of the drive. And not to forget the wonderful scents of Tahitian gardenia and white ginger, as well as the abundant geckos and lizards! We felt at home.

Aaron and Anna are accommodating hosts offering help, great tips and good conversation. His suggestions were spot-on - thanks for the heads-up on the farmers market, surf lessons and the ukulele concert :) . We enjoyed snorkeling at Sharks Cove (go up the drive and turn right on the bike path for about 7 minutes) and swimming at our beach (go up the drive, turn left and make a quick left for all of about 3 minutes). Sunset Beach had spectacular sunsets and lovely mornings. It was convenient to have Foodland literally down the street, and Haleiwa was not far off for more to explore.

We had a car and enjoyed checking out other places around the island, including a few times to the windward (east) side (Kailua has kid-friendly beach with enticing sand hill, also The Food Company with two restaurants - one for great plate food and one a sit-down environment with great local cuisine - tasty plates).

Overall, our experience here was highly satisfactory and hopefully we can return to relax again!

Had a ball at this North Shore property and can't wait to plan a return visit. Aaron and Anna were both very welcoming and run a great vacation rental.

There was nothing that the condo didn't have and we felt extremely lucky that all the little bonus extras were there as the little touches such as a great HDTV with cable, the Bose sound system the push bikes etc were fantastic and made us feel that we were well equipped and we enjoyed them all.

There is not a doubt in our minds that we will be returning with our yet to be born Keiki next time and my husband Dom is hoping that there is amazing surf the next time he returns (we were lucky to get great swell with two hurricanes that passed us during our stay).

Overall if you are looking for a clean, well maintained base where you are able to chill and relax or use to explore the North Shore of Oahu don't look any further this is the place.. Or look further if you wish and then we may be able to get availability to stay here again!!!!!!!

Fantastic Property
5 of 5
We were lucky enough to have 8 nights stay in this rental and could easily live here. Plenty of space and does look exactly like the pictures. We didn't want for anything it was all provided with a nice balcony to sit out on. It was very clean and tidy and well maintained. Anna and Aaron were extremely nice and helpful and asked if there was anything they could do to improve our stay, there wasn't, it was all good. The beach is really close by, just out the gate and a short walk in between the houses. There are shops and food vans which were close enough to cycle to (on the bikes provided) or 10 minutes walk and other beaches for snorkelling. I would say to rent a car as it was great to travel around the whole Island and I would recommend this property and would love to return in the not too distant future.

We absolutely loved our stay at the beach house. Aaron and Anna are the perfect hosts and have an outstanding location. they have a beautiful beach just steps away with miles if sandy beach and huge waves to watch. you can also grab the beach chairs and sit on the sand and watch the amazing sunsets every night, and during the day check out the world class surf at pipeline and sunset beaches just up the road. The house was perfect with all the amenities you would want on a sunny trip. One of the best experiences of our life, thanks to Aaron and Anna. We will be back next year!! Mahalo

An Exceptional Stay
5 of 5
Aaron and Anna deserve every five star rating, their cottage is a delight. This was our second stay, we definitely plan to do so again. The pictures are accurate, the cottage is well equipped, with great attention paid to keeping equipment and supplies well maintained and fresh. Aaron's had lots of suggestions for us about where to wave-watch, advice on local beaches and excursions. He was always helpful and seemed to be available whenever we had questions, yet gave us our privacy. We would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend their cottage, it is one of the best we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot!).

The perfect place for making memories!
5 of 5
My husband and I spent our 40th anniversary here in November. I do not think there could have been a more perfect place we could have gone. Aaron and his lovely wife are the perfect hosts. We have memories that will last a lifetime. I recommend it as the only place to stay if you are going to Oahu.

Great stay!
5 of 5
My new husband and I had a great stay at this beach cottage. On our honeymoon and even during my birthday. This cottage had great amount of amenities that saved us money on renting bikes, snorkel gear, and some expensive eating out. We still ate out some but had everything for a full kitchen and grill. Grocery store close by. Great beach location located between sunset beach and shark cove, with a nice beach around the corner and down the street, not a far walk. Teds bakery was delicious for any time of the day, two miles north of location. Whenever we decide to come back to hawaii we hope to stay here again!

Clean cosy nice relax and enjoyable beach house
5 of 5
Its a great place to spend your holiday when you are at north shore, the beach house have got everything (cooking, eating, BBQ and even laundry) you need its the most complete vacation house we have stayed so far. Although we haven't got a chance to meet Anna but Aaron greeted us with the warm Aloha (welcome) when we arrive, he is a very nice guy if you need anything he be glad to help. There a car pouch inside for you to park your rental vehicle but the 2 way small lane you need to careful when entering and exiting the premise. There are beach chairs and quick outdoor showers available for us to rinse of the sands from the beach which is just a short 1 minute walk behind the house from the main gate before going up the house too. The beach has nice clear water and wave for you to enjoy and sunbath. We'll definitely choose to stay here again if we go back to north shore :D Mahalo couple from Singapore

Perfect Location, Lovely Property! 5 of 5
The property is perfectly located for a vacation based on the North Shore. Shark Cove and Sunset Beach are a short walk away. The bike path runs past the access to the property and the beach cruiser bikes available to borrow allow guests easy access to the beach further up the coast.

A local supermarket is within walking distance, as are a few small independently run food outlets with casual seating facing the beach. There are also a couple of small outlets selling clothes/beach shoes and renting bikes and surf boards. There is a bakery a short cycle down the bike path that also does breakfast.

The rental property is one of 4 properties behind a code accessed gate - so is private and quiet.

We found the property to be as described and was clean and well maintained. There was more than enough crockery and cutlery and a supply of condiments, washing up liquid , foil and other such things which can cost a lot to buy for a short stay.

The washing machine and tumble dryer allowed us to take home clean laundry which was a bonus!

The beach chairs and beach towels provided allowed us to have a comfortable stay at the beach.

Aaron and Anna , the owners made us feel very welcome and Aaron was happy to show us around the property on arrival and advise us on local things to do during our stay.

I would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to be able to return sometime in the future.

Diamond Property! 5 of 5
Perfect. Everything about this property is ideal for a frequent traveler like myself: well-furnished, super-clean, privacy, attention to all details that ensures easy use and access, security, and great location - including easy access and short walking distance (just 2 minutes) to quiet beach space. Anna and Aaron have created a unique environment and space that allows one to really enjoy and appreciate the North Shore experience. They put a lot of thought and effort in this place to make it seem like your home away from home. It shows. Can't wait to get back..

This rental is in an excellent location and soooooo clean! The place is well equipped so no need to bring anything besides clothes and food. There are beach towels, coolers, bikes, grill etc. We loved being walking distance to Sharks Cove, Foodland (for groceries), and Ke'iki Beach is steps close you can hear the waves! It's only a short bike ride to Sunset Beach as well. Aaron was such a great host and made sure everything was perfect. The owners are right next door for any needs but still give plenty of space and the rental is very private! Loved that the road is gated so we did not have to worry so much about theft (unfortunately an issue across most of the island). This was a great feature and made us feel secure. Be sure to catch the beautiful sunsets nightly on the beach! Thanks so much Aaron & Anna! We'll be back again!

My wife and I stayed 3 days; we had a lovely time. The cottage was absolutely clean and well attended, and the owners (who live nearby and are accessible) open, friendly, and keen to make the stay enjoyable. The area is beautiful, to say the least. Highly recommended.

Waited a year to reserve a week after meeting a couple on the beach who loved the place. Stayed 1wk in Feb.2010. Perfect location, close to food and a very private beach. Particularly loved watching humpback whales from our beach chair. Anna and Aaron are perfect hosts. Aaron even warns you when a tsunami is arriving!

Mahalo Aaron and Anna for your outstanding hospitality! If you're looking for a true North Shore experience with all the comforts you need to truly relax, this place is perfect. We loved making a quick breakfast, heading out for the day then coming back to BBQ seafood at night. There are several beach options within walking distance, you can see the action at Pipeline or chill on a very secluded section of sand for some quality reading time. This place and the surrounding area exude the laid back nature of the North Shore; we absolutely loved staying here. Aaron and Anna were both incredibly hospitable, we're looking forward to staying at this property again! Best- Laurie and Joel

First off, thank you Anna & Aaron! The hospitality was great, the home was perfect, the location was beautiful, the value was amazing... we truly couldn't have asked for anything more! (maybe another week) As a guest you have everything you need within walking or biking distance (bikes included). You essentially have your own private beach within feet from your door, famous public beaches and snorkeling minutes away (Waimea, Pipeline, Sunset, Shark's Cove) Great food in Ted's Bakery (fresh donuts and pies are insane), Shark's Cove Grill, Smoothies, Foodland Grocery... need I say more?! We are already counting down the days before we get to return and stay there again. I'm hesitant to give such a good review because we want the place to ourselves! Haha

Thank you Aaron and Anna for such a great stay on the North Shore. I live on the island and have rented several houses in the same area when friends visit, and your house is by far my favorite. The house is in a perfect location, has every amenity you could want, comfy bed, awesome lanai, and very nice bathroom. We loved our stay and will definitely be back again! Erin, Liz, Melissa

My boyfriend and I had stayed at this place during our trip in September. He ended up proposing and I couldn't imagine having that moment anywhere but at this place. The beach was almost always empty and the sunset is beautiful. It was so relaxing and very private. I'd stay there again in a heart beat. It was the most magical trip I have ever been on.

We were very happy with our stay at this place. The cottage is clean and in a very good shape and all of it, including the cozy kitchen, had pretty much everything we needed. Anna and Aaron were also very responsive and willing to help us as much as possible whenever we had questions or special needs. The location of this cottage is fantastic - walking distance to a great swimming/surfing beach, walking distance to wonderful snorkeling Sharks Cove beach and only 2 minutes of driving to Waimea Bay which was superb for swimming in May - beautiful, clear-water peaceful beach. We greatly enjoyed both the privacy of this residential neighborhood location and close proximity to great beaches and grocery store. Overall, this was an excellent choice of the place to stay.

Our main purpose was to relax and learn to surf. At first we were not very focused on the house, because we were not expecting to spend much time on it (only to sleep). But then we arrived to this cottage and fall in love... with her and with each other again :) The place is wonderfull, you have everything you need inside and outside... and you will stay in the famous "7 mile miracle" of surf. Use your bikes and explore all the beaches near the cottage, but if you don't want to exercise than just walk 2 minutes and relax on the beautifull beach a few meters away from the house. Lovely small town Hale'iwa is just 10 minutes drive but again if you don't want go that much far, you have it all just walking distance from the house: Foodland, Starbucks and some nice small restaurants. Last but not least, Anna and Aaron were great and gave us the tips we needed when we asked for it. We hope to visit you again soon... Marta and Rui
