Warm, relaxing and serene
This is a wonderful home away from it all. It is nestled in the quiet woods surrounding Deep Creek Lake. The home is new, charming, and very comfortably furnished. It is one of the best equipped rental homes uin which we have stayed, and we stay in rental homes frequently! Full kitchen set up, convenient laundry, beautiful large back deck overlooking the trees, TVs in every room,a good internet connection, clean, everything working, just like stated in the ad. And the owners provide a complete and very useful handbook on the house, the lake and beach, emergency phone numbers, and local places to eat and shop. We were 4 adults and 2 young children and we had space enough for all! I Kim was more than helpful and was available to answer any questions and explain things. This was a last minute rental on our part and she made it go smoothly I would definitely go back to this lovely vacation home.

Very nice and clean new cabin in Deep Creek
Great location for my group of fly fishing buddies. Close to fishing spots and still close to best dining. Entire rental process was awesome. The owners are quick in their responses and returning security deposit. Will definitely look here first when I plan my next trip to the area. The house itself is wonderful - I love brand new - so this house fits the bill perfect. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. The basement is unfinished, so I can't wait to see what they do with that space in the future. The deck and backyard are also nice and the charcoal grill cooked our steaks to perfection. It doesn't get much better than this, especially considering the price. Great value! Thanks for sharing! Andrew

Relaxing Mountain Retreat
We just spent a beautiful Fall weekend at this lovely cabin in the Deep Creek area. It is brand new, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. It is obvious that the owners, who are delightful, really considered their guests comfort when they furnished their vacation home. Everything you need and more is provided. The community offers lake access, a boat ramp and a beautiful place to just walk and enjoy nature. We loved the mountain coaster ride at nearby Wisp and seriously considered the zip line, but chickened-out in the end (maybe next time). There is lots to do for any season of the year. We highly recommend this property.

Our family really enjoyed our time at this cabin sweet cabin. It really is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. Absolutely immaculate home that was very warm, inviting and fully stocked with games, firewood and charcoal. Kim was a delight to work with and she even provided a gift basket when our family arrived, such a great treat. This is the place to rent, it is close to the lake, close to plenty of state parks and great trails to ride bikes and enjoy the sites. We had a little disappointing weather when we went at the end of April, but if you are lucky you should have decent weather. Make sure you research the weather averages for the time you are going for Swanton, MD. The owners are very accommodating and are very easy to work with. The cabin was extremely clean and everything worked. If you like to spend your time inside, the channels are plentiful, the internet is fast and there are plenty of games...also, there were tv's in every room. I would recommend this to family and friends and we are already trying to plan our next trip to this great cabin.

Pretty,Cozy and very clean - cabin
We had one of the best vacations at deep creek. The cabin was beyond our expectations- Well decorated , clean and most important kitchen was well stocked - plates, pans, utensils. They had lots of board games for kids too.Cable and Internet too- if you wanted to stay indoors. We were there with friends and kids so had spent quality time outside near the firepit eating marshmallows from the gift basket that Kim had left for us. Lots of activities to do nearby ( boating, Wisp resort,Asci, biking, hikin). We lucked out on the weather- just perfect. Highly recommend this rental.

Immaculate, spacious yet cozy retreat
"Cabin Sweet Cabin" is the perfect home-away-from-home at Deep Creek Lake. The home itself is immaculate, spacious, nicely decorated and very well appointed- there was even a pie plate-- which I needed! Nearby activities include a quiet and private beach in walking distance (be aware it's all uphill on the way back), as well docks for boaters. We enjoyed short rides to local shopping, restaurants and activities at WISP (we recommend the zip line!). The owner leaves a bowl of treats to welcome you, and an ample supply of fresh, clean linens is delivered to your door-- no washing sheets the last day of a rental or bringing your own! I highly recommend this home to anyone seeking a Deep Creek/WISP getaway-- winter, spring, summer or fall!

While we have limited space to write a review there are so many wonderful things I could say about our stay and in this [Perfect] cabin. Given the limited space, here are just a few things that everyone should know about Cabin Sweet Cabin. First, the home is absolutely spotless and the decor is just perfect! This is a cozy home that comes with just about everything that is needed - the cabinets were fully stocked with cooking supplies and more than the basics were offered (sugar, dish soap, baggies, etc.) Next, one of the best parts about this home however, is the owner. When I began the vacation hunt, I stumbled across this site and then sent an email to the owner. Since then she has offered the greatest support and has been so extremely generous with her time to ensure that our stay was just perfect! From the time we entered the door, where the owner had left us a great welcome package and personal note, to the time we left - everyone felt so welcomed in the home! The contract process was seamless and we felt well taken care of - very trustworthy! There is so much to do in the area and great places to see. One of our favorite things is that we rented a boat and took advantage of the boat slip that is available with the house. We also took the kids fishing at the pond in the neighborhood and enjoyed the private beach - all in one place!! Our family had an amazing week at this home and we would highly recommend it to anyone! You won't be disappointed if you choose this home for your vacation! PS - if you do go to this house, our family wanted to start a little tradition. We hid a quarter and it is your job to find it! Once you find it be sure to hide it again for the next family. We have done this for years and it is always a good time looking for the quarter!

Tranquility and rejuvenation!
We had a great extended family vacation at Kim's cabin. It was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to take the boat out on the lake every day. We also took advantage of Swallow Falls and Deep Creek Lake State Park to do a little hiking. The kids really enjoyed making Smores around the fire pit and telling ghost stories. My Mom and I had our own fun singing our Hawaiian songs on the deck. All week long we were constantly remarking about what a great time we were having. It was probably one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had and put Deep Creek on our "possibilities for retirement" map. I hope we can come back again before too long. Greg

Excellent vacation
We really enjoyed our stay at your vacation home- thank you, Kim! The house was very clean, nicely appointed, and it has everything one may need, and even more, allowing for a relaxing, care-free vacation. We would love to come back some time. Thank you again, Anna & family

We had a wonderful week!
The cabin provided all the amenities of home. Traveling with three kids under the age of 3, your cabin provided to be the perfect place to stay! The kids couldn't get enough of all the deer in your backyard! and we were able to find so much to do in the surrounding area. We have been taking this trip for over 12 years now always staying at a different location. This is the first time we are planning a repeat visit to the same place. Thank you for all you did to make our vacation so memorable! Stacy

Beautiful, spacious property; Very 'home-like'
Everything was spotless and in beautiful condition; loved the decor selections. Every convenience you could think of was there...owners very thoughtful about needs, comfort, and convenience for renters! Much larger than I expected! I was amazed by the pictures online, but in person was even better :) Owners were wonderful to deal with, and even called to confirm that everything was suitable upon our arrival, which was very thoughtful! Renter information packet was super detailed and helpful...and much appreciated! It did not feel like a typical rental...it was so homey you could easily see yourself living there, no problem, haha. We went to Uno Pizza, Brenda's Pizza, WISP Adventure Park, beach/docks, swam, went kayaking and jet skiing, went to parks, cooked out on the grill and fire pit, and stayed up late playing games (many provided there!) every night! Everyone had a fantastic stay and absolutely loved it...we would totally recommend it and we are hoping to make it back again!! :)

Great house!
The house and property a were in excellent shape - cleanest vacation home we've ever stayed in. The kids loved the ping pong table and foosball table. It was convenient to town (roughly 15 minutes to Uno and Arrowhead grocery). We would definitely stay here again!

A Very Spacious Home-Had A Great Time:
Judging from your posted picture of your home in Swanton, the house seemed small. The picture was very deceiving, because when we entered the house we were surprised to discover its' true size. Four large bedrooms, two full baths on the ground level and another full bath upstairs. More surprising was the good size kitchen, dining and living space and the laundry area. Nothing in the house was cramped. We were happy to find the fully furnished basement with books, games, ping pong table, foosball and TV. What a great place!! Nearby shopping, especially at Whispering Pines and Schoolhouse specialty stores provided a chance to view the beautiful scenery and wild life on the ride there. We enjoyed some good eating close by at Will of the Wisp and Uno's and a very laid back meal at Ledo's. In the summer we look forward to a return trip to take advantage of the boating and fishing on Deep Creek Lake and other mountain activities. Sincerely, Your October Renters, Marvin and Sheila

You will NOT be disappointed!
If someone told us we were the first to ever stay in this cabin, we would have believed it…it was that clean and new-looking. The cabin was very spacious (although, it is so nice, spacious, and well-appointed, it’s hard to call it a cabin!). We enjoyed some great family time around the fire pit in the back yard. There was a bowl of treats on the coffee table to welcome us – the kind of thing that really excites our young grandchildren! The towels and bed linens that awaited us at the front door were plentiful, and they were fresh and clean. The cabin was great, and the owner was, too. I can’t say enough about Kim’s responsiveness and attention to detail in advance of our visit. And it was obvious that a lot of thought had been put into all the little details in the cabin. Seemed like everything we needed, the owners had thought of…plenty of kitchenware, board games and even the little things like electrical outlet covers for our little ones. I could go on and on, but in a nutshell, we couldn’t have been more comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Great home away from home get away
Everything that you would want and more on your vacations is at this rental. Nice, quiet and relaxing area in the woods but, not to far away from anything that you might want to do at the lake. The house and everything in it is exceptional. From the large size rooms, to all the beds in the bedrooms for your family/or your friends. To the game room in the basement and the deck off of the dining room that will lead you to the fire pit in the back yard. And I can't leave out all the different wildlife that you might see walking all around the cabin anytime during the day. Awesome place : )

Review from our Home Away Site - Renter from July 25, 2015:
Lovely vacation cabin!
Our family really enjoyed Kim and Martin's lovely cabin. It was plenty of room for all 10 of us, and we enjoyed cooking outside on the grill and building fires in the fire pit. The beds were very comfortable (the best we've ever had in a vacation cabin!). If we return to Deep Creek we will likely stay here again!
