beach is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations of Costa Rica,
with a wide range of hotels, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and shops.
All this and much more make it a place full of flavor, color, natural
beauty and an intense nightlife.

Tamarindo has approximately 2.000 inhabitants from all over the world
make this town extremely cosmopolitan. Some of the residences of the
inhabitants are located in the hills, offering excellent views of the ocean and the large number of nature in the area.

Playa Tamarindo is the ideal place to spend relaxing holidays, but exciting and well forget bout the noise and pollution of the city, but not away from the comforts that this charming town offer.

Food and Shopping
Tamarindo is an area renowned for its number of international food restaurants, with excellent quality. In the commercial area, Tamarindo offer a lot of shops and shopping malls, where you can enjoy an excellent day of shopping.

Known as a paradise for surfers, the nightlife of Tamarind can be as wild as the waves, with large beach parties, good fun bars and dance clubs, where the most important thing is passing well, or as we say the Ticos Pura Vida .
And if the Latin beat you do not even have captured, then let the premises, called Ticos, you teach salsa and definitely never want to leave this city.

In addition to just 3km on the beach, Playa Grande is reached which is also one of the most popular areas for practicing the sport.

Sport fishing is another popular activity in Costa Rica. Depending on the time of year when you visit and what you are interest to fish.
There are many fish species such as Dorado, Wahoo, Roosterfish, Snapper and Sailfish. Of course, for the vast array of fish there, there is a strict policy and release fishing.

Other activities
Among the other activities that can be found in this natural paradise, this visit to the Baulas National Marine Park, where with luck and epending on the season, you can watch the wonderful Leatherback turtles spawn on the beach, after his long travelled since the
Galapagos Islands.

And if unable to see this wonderful event, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset on the seashore, as if to watch the sun is immersed in the sea, under a sky full of colors. And for those who want even more, you can take a tour sailboat, to enjoy a meal in the middle of the blue water
or even better see the stars low moonlight

Wonderful Retreat House

March 17, 2014

Our family stayed here for 4 nights during March Break this year. This was our first time renting a private home and we were a bit concerned but really there were no need to worry. The house was exactly as promised and as shown in the photos! Alonzo was available to arrange tours and answer any questions, monkeys showed up in the afternoons to entertain us in the trees behind the pool :-), beaches and town in close distance, AC worked great, wifi was good too! Lots of options for tours, surf lessons, great dining, beaches and just relaxing. Would be happy to visit again.

Perfect Vacation Rental

March 16, 2014

We were 2 couples and the space and amenities were perfect for us. The house was spacious and clean. We loved the location (a little out of town) - within walking distance to Langosta beach, restaurants and a little grocery store. Alonso was extremely helpful in every way. Everything worked out just great for us and I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful and relaxing

February 13, 2013

We were two middle-aged couples and the two master bedrooms with accompanying master bathrooms, one on each floor, gave each couple complete privacy. The house was well equipped and the private pool in the back yard was amazing. We literally lived in the backyard under the cool patio with its ceiling fans. We were entertained nightly by the howler monkeys who dropped by around 5pm. we also saw a scarlet macaw in the tree. The ocean is a short five minute walk. There is also a corner store a few minutes away where you can buy most everything. The best place to grocery shop is at the super mercado in Tamarindo, a $6 cab ride away. We felt very safe with Manuel on duty from dark to dawn. Also, Alonso, the property manager, was very nice and helpful in organizing excursions and even drove us to a local doctor when one of our party injured his foot. Another must is the Coco Spa, owned by the owner of Brises del Estero. Tamarindo is a 15 to 20 minute walk away by road and 30 to 40 minutes by beach. If you plan on walking to town make sure it is early in the morning as it gets very hot. Two restaurants I would recommend for dinner that are walking distance away are Captain Suivo and the Langosta Beach Club - both excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house for a party of four. One thing -use hydro sparingly as you are charged if you exceed the daily limit. We only turned on the air conditioning in the bedrooms at bedtime and we stayed within the limit.

Owner's reply:

Thanks Wendy.
We hope you came back pretty soon !

Surfing and Relaxing

May 31, 2011

We came to Tamarindo from Canada to enjoy surfing in warm water (where you don't have to wear a full wet suit) and couldn't have had a better time!! We rented this house over the internet and it was perfect from the day we checked in. The house has two bedrooms, both equally comfortable with bathrooms right outside each one. We spent a lot of time in the pool and on the patio enjoying watching the wildlife in the backyard (plenty of birds and even a few monkeys). The house located close to a corner store and a sports bar (where we were able to enjoy the start of the Stanely Cup Playoffs!). The walk into town is easy and there are plenty of places to enjoy a nice meal and a drink as you watch the sunset!!

Casa Brisas was perfect for our family's getaway to sun, sand, surf in December. It has a minimalist, clean design inside and a spacious, relaxing terrace with pool outside - both of which we really enjoyed. The proximity to the beautiful and uncrowded Langosta beach is unbeatable and it is only a short ride into Tamarindo if more action is desired. Our 4-year old son loved alternating between the 'pools' at the beach (formed by retreating tides) and the pool at the house. We even saw a few howler monkeys and iguanas from the backyard.

The owner (Andrea) and his caretaker (Alonso) did everything to make our experience memorable and relaxing - from flexibility with booking, to check-in, attention and quick resolution with the inevitable little things that can come-up (in our case one of the AC's wasn't working at full capacity and Alonso had it fixed in no time). Alonso was also very helpful with booking Spa services and short trips in the surrounding area (the owner owns a Spa and concierge service in town).

If there was one small thing we could change, it would be the need to keep an extra watchful eye on one's energy consumption ... we applaud Andrea's intent to keep energy consumption low and help renters realize wasteful habits (like keeping the AC blasting all day while out). Unfortunately, we ended up having to pay a bit extra despite being very mindful.

All in all though this did not diminish the fact that we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly at Casa Brisas and had a great time in Langosta!

My husband and I spent a week in this home with our two young daughters and found it to be one of the best homes we've ever rented on a vacation (we've rented many homes in the US, France and Italy). We wished we could have stayed longer and would love to go back for a month. We rented a higher-end house in Tamarindo the first week of our trip but it was not nearly as comfortable in terms of seating/lounging. The outdoor area of this home was the best part of the house with comfortable, clean lounge chair cushions and a perfect pool. Inside had everything we needed and it was super clean (no bugs, which I was worried about in Costa Rica). We had a housekeeper twice during the week and a night guard came every night (he also cleaned the pool each night). The neighborhood felt very safe and was a quick walk to the beach or easy drive to other towns. We saw a lemur a few times in the trees on the property, twice saws monkeys in the trees, and saw many unusual birds. One evening and one morning we heard howler monkeys which was a fun experience. The entire process of renting the home was easy...the manager, Alonso, was very responsive and helped arrange surfing lessons, a boat ride on the estuary, and a spa treatment at the owners' spa in town. The massage at Coco Spa was great. We did have to pay $40 extra for running the air conditioner overtime (there is a daily electrical allowance & you pay per kw if you go over.) Despite the fee we still thought the house was incredibly reasonable.
