The home is located in "CATSKILL PARK", only one mile away from the #1 most visited state park in New York, "NORTH SOUTH LAKE" where you can camp, picnic, hike, swim, sail, canoe, kayak or just experience the beautiful view of the "CATSKILL MOUNTAINS" and the home is within walking distance of the "KRT" trail where you can hike to the historical "Kaaterskill Falls" or hike on another nearby state trail. Also, if you enjoy music, you can attend the "TAP NY" beer and food festival in May or "MOUNTAIN JAM" in June or "TASTE OF COUNTRY" music festival. These special events are held at "Hunter Mountain" ski resort. Also, if you have a passion for professional horse jumping, you can attend the "HITS" Saugerties series in Saugerties, New York which is only fifteen miles away. Then, in Hudson Valley, there is the "Franklin D. Roosevelt" mansion, the "Mills Mansion", "Thomas Cole Mansion", "The Vanderbuilt Mansion", The "Rockefeller Estate", "The Montgomery Place Historical Estate", "The Olana State Historical Site" and many more!! It's a great place to stay and experience all the historical areas of the mountain top and the surrounding "Hudson Valley". I have enjoyed this are all my life and I am sure you will too!

The area were the home is located is "CATSKILL PARK". Beautiful area, quiet, picturesque area of New York. This area is an historical area of the Hudson Valley. "NORTH SOUTH LAKE" is situated where there was once a very elaborate and dignified hotel called the "CATSKILL MOUNTAIN HOUSE" and near by was the "KAATERSKILL HOTEL" which was the largest hotel in the world in the late 1800's. Famous diplomats and wealthy entrepreneurs have visited and lived in this area dating back to the late 1800's. See the "MOUNTAIN TOP HISTORICAL SOCIETY" and the "LIBRARY OF CONGRESS" to get more historical information about the area.
