My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. Not super fancy, but we were comfortable and could walk to everything! Hosts were very nice and helpful!

This was a great place for my brothers and I to explore the Tarpon Springs area. The Cottage was neat and comfortable and Barb was a wonderful host and cook. The location was great for it was far enough from the congestion of the docks and downtown but within walking distance.

Owner's reply: You were certainly a pleasure to have. I thank you for everything.

“Charming hidden gem”

This private cottage was a perfect long weekend getaway. The owner Barbara and her husband were wonderful and Barbara makes the best breakfast! Her knowledge and history of the area was a real treat. The location could not have been better....just a short walk to the sponge docks and antique district.

Owner's reply: Bless you both, sure hope I see you both again, lovely, lovely people, and so much fun.

“Charming Home Away from Home”

We loved our stay with Barbara and Larry; only wish we could have stayed longer! Barb's cooking was superb and we found that it was very hard to leave her breakfast table. Also, she and Larry tended to our every need. Central location allowed us to walk to the Sponge Docks (which included the many fine restaurants there), the performing arts theater, and the many shops. Among Barb's many attributes was her knowledge of things to do and places to see.

“Perfect for us!!!!”

The cottage was perfect for us. In the backyard of 'Barb's Best Breakfasts' how could one go wrong. Very comfortable, super clean, quiet and close to anything you'd want in Tarpon Springs. Barb and Larry are wonderful hosts. We would certainly recommend this gem to anyone wanting to enjoy the Tarpon Springs area and beyond. Easy to find beaches, restaurants and certainly the docks.... Owner's reply: Thank you Liz. I certainly enjoyed. both you and Bev's company. Hope to see you someday again. Barb

“A Perfect B&B”

My wife and I stayed on the second floor of the main house, not the cottage. Ashley's Victorian Haven was exactly what we were hoping for and we will return. Possibly next year to rent all of the available space for our siblings. The location was so convenient. The room was charming, so well appointed and just totally comfortable, I love it when two people have enough towels for six. We enjoyed the comfort of our room very much. It was so much more than just a place to sleep while on vacation. The hosts are perfect in every way and Barbara's breakfast are just over the top. So delicious and so plentiful. French toast, omelets, sausage, fruit, quiches, pies, muffins and more We will be back for sure!

Owner's reply: Your were so wonderful. Pray I see you again. Your reveiw is so appreciiated. Thank you again. Barb

“Great Place!”

We stayed at the cottage for a weekend and loved it! It was private and quiet. We came to ride our bikes on the Pinellas Trail which was only a block away. The cottage has a nice bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area. It also has a nice kitchen but was not needed for our short weekend since breakfast was included. The breakfast was awesome! Eggs, sausage, fruit on the first day and quiche, potatoes, fruit, and the best banana bread I have ever had on the 2nd day. I would definitely recommend. The pictures of the cottage do not do it justice!!

“Comfortable accomodation and authentic hospitality”

Reviewed 27 Apr 2011

My wife and I spent six nights here for our thirtieth anniversary and what a great choice it turned out to be. This place just oozes charm, character and individuality and provides a wonderful relaxing environment to unwind in. The house itself is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood that is only a stones throw from the Sponge Docks and the quaint old quarter. Staying here you feel that you are seeing something of the real town while being close to the things you look for while on vacation, like good restaurants and beaches etc. We rented the cottage, which is set off a little way from the main house and has it's own cute little yard with garden furniture, and even a white picket fence! The cottage is furnished with an eclectic, but very pleasing, mix of antique and vintage pieces and generously equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay - big comfy double bed, walk in monsoon shower, efficient air con, full size fridge-freezer and stove, microwave, toaster, blender and all the other bits and pieces you need to cook properly. Our experience of the breakfasts that are served in the main house was that they are home cooked, wholsome, plentiful and utterly delicious. The best thing about staying here though is Barbara and Larry who are, quite simply, the perfct hosts. Warm and genuie, they are ready to help in any way they can but always respectful of your privacy so you can really make yourself at home. All in all highly recommended.
