“Home Comfort, Keys Charm”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dave's rental in Futura Yacht Club. The best part was how convenient everything was! The boat slip was right in front of our unit, the tennis courts directly behind it, grills out on the beach which was a short walk, and the pool was just a few steps away. The amenities on the property are fabulous! Four of us stayed here for a week with our two dogs to fish, snorkel, lobster, and boat every day, so it was a perfect fit for our outdoorsy group. It was a short boat ride to the Atlantic through Snake Creek or right out of the club into the Gulf. Great restaurants were located within walking distance or a 5-10 minute drive. The hardware store, Winn Dixie, shopping, coffee, and more were all right around the corner as well. Convenience is why we loved this place so much! It was very clean upon arrival and Dave answered every question we had promptly. The unit has comfortable beds and all the basics you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The only reason we did not give the unit an overall 5 was because of the lack of storage and the water pressure was low. However, the water pressure may not be specific to this unit. Dave provided lots of areas for storage, but we often found that drawers were full or personal decor was in the way, that we didn't want to disturb. We would definitely stay here again. The sunsets were gorgeous and excellent fishing and lobster holes were within a short boat ride of the yacht club. It was everything we needed to have a comfortable stay!

Owner's reply: We appreciate your kind comments, Sounds like you enjoyed it as much as we do. Thanks, Dave/Pat

“Best of islamorado”

We stayed at this Townhouse for the month of September. It was better than the pictures portrayed it. We enjoyed the view and the boat slip 20 ft from our front door. Very comfortable beds. Nice decor. We recommend this place for anyone enjoying the water. Also you can snorkel or swim in the newly finished heated pool. We hope to go again next year. Also 3 manatees entertained us almost everyday. One day 3 porpoises were jumping right in the middle of the bay. Many thanks David.

Owner's reply: We too enjoy our sunset views, etc, thanks for your kind review. Dave Wentzka

Good value in a great location. Townhouse was recently renovated and is clean. Property is a private gated community with security and good central location. There are two balconies that overlook the marina. You can watch the boats go by and see Tarpon and Manatees. I will stay here again

Owner's reply: Pete , We know you would like our place, glad the tarpon and manatees showed up for you. Thanks for the kind review. Dave Wentzka

“Nice time in the keys”

Enjoyed the great location and sunsets from the condo. The owner was great to work with. Very convenient to get to the ocean via Snake creek and the dock/marina was well maintained. The on site office staff was not in the office much however.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you had a great time and catching that 24 lb Bull Dolphin had to add to it.

“Lovely townhouse right on the water”

This South Florida style walk up was incredibly decorated in beach motif. From the shinny white tile floors to the hand decorated light switches, it was very much a condo by the shore. It has everything 4 adults would want especially if they brought a boat and wanted easy, quick access to the bay side. We did not have a boat this time but will bring one next time. The beds were luxurious, the linens ample and the kitchen was perfect for a Keys property. It rained a couple of times while were there but we didn't even mind, the place was so comfortable, we just settled in and the kids played board games and cards (provided in the condo) and I got in some much wanted reading time. If we had questions, problems or just needed some info, the owner was a text away and answered very promptly. All in all a very wonderful experience. I down graded one star because we had 2 small children with us and there was no place for them to sleep as the townhouse is rated for 4 adults; we knew this going in but did not understand that meant no other places (pull out couches, roll-a-ways, etc) were available for the kids. And the DVD was not working so we borrowed one from friends for the rainy days. But we would rent this place again for us and another couple without kids.
