There is a public park less than 2 blocks away and Shalimar Executive Golf course is also less than a mile from the home. Public transportation including the Orbit mini-bus which is available in the Tempe Area as well as the City Bus stop is less than a 1/2 a block away.

Pictures and verbal descriptions might have justified the price, but in reality, this property was overpriced for the condition it is in. The kitchen sink was not draining, so the dishwasher (which was not really installed, so it fell forward every time you pulled a shelf out to load or unload) couldn't run either. Also the TP holder was falling out of the wall in the bathroom. The owner did fix these two problems and refunded $ to compensate. However, when it warmed enough to want the air conditioning, that didn't work either. We finally forced the thermostat cover open and changed the batteries, so it worked the balance of the time. The kitchen was very minimally furnished and a couple of shelves in the refrigerator were broken, as was the fan grill on the microwave above the range. We ended up using a twist-tie to secure it so it wouldn't fall off again. The bathroom had no vanity, just a small medicine cabinet on a side wall and a small corner stand, so it was hard to feel "at home" for the month. The beds were comfortable, but the master bedroom faced a very noisy main street. The yard didn't look anything like the pictures, with tools and yard waste bucket sitting there like a work in progress. In general, we just felt the property was not worth what we paid and regretted not turning it down when the price increased significantly after we showed interest.
