Located about 40 minutes south of the San Diego airport, it's a quick drive to paradise. San Antonio is a lovely gated community with a park, pool, tennis court and charming cobblestone streets.
We have two fully-outfitted homes to choose from, the 3-bedroom Casa Corlund (listing 209876 and the 1-bedroom Casa Bella (listing 209875), which you can rent either one or if together, see listing 209872.

FROM THE OWNER: SINCE I AM NEW ON THIS SITE, I TOOK THESE TESTIMONIALS FROM THE "OTHER" VACATION RENTAL PLACE.
*** PLEASANT AND PAINLESS: Did an overnight in Rosarito and Casa Bella provided a wonderful basecamp during our stay. Favorite features: the sunken living room with fireplace, the uniquely open floorplan of the bedroom and master bath, and of course the large windows in both living room and bedroom overlooking the mexican coastline. Property owner was very accessible as was the on site manager. Have a car as the location is not really walking distance to any shops/bars other than what is in the community.
**** WONDERFUL OCEAN VIEW: We stayed at Casa Bella over President's Day Weekend. The views from the patio, bedroom and Living room are just breath taking. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio relaxing, watching people, the ocean and the sunsets. All the stress of being so busy all the time went away. The house was everything that was portrayed in the ad and more. If you are looking for a great laid back get away, this is the place to go. We ate dinner at Gusto's for Valentines Day and it was amazing. Thank you Lu!"
**** SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! The photos here are just the beginning to a truly amazing property! Not once did we ever feel threatened or scared as the entire area of San Antonio Del Mar & Rosarito feel very relaxing & safe. The house itself sits right ontop the ocean where we surfed, watched families of dolphins & awed over the gorgeous sunsets every day. With this house being only 25 minutes past the border, we will definitely be back as it sits in a truly beautiful yet totally different world.
**** BREATHTAKING OCEAN VIEW: The pictures do not do this home justice. Absolutely beautiful. The entire living area is open with breathtaking views of the ocean. The ocean and beach are right in front of you with a huge patio to watch the sunsets, sunrise and full moons. Laying on the patio watching and listening to the ocean and enjoying the sun's rays took all my stress away. Spent two incredible weeks here with our three babies (dogs). Still not sure who had more fun them or us. Long walks on the beach and many hours on the patio watching the ocean, dolphins, seals and birds. Nothing is better than having the sound from the ocean put you to sleep every night. I never slept so good. We felt very safe here in the gated community. Loved the short drive past the border. Could not have taken more than 10 minutes to get here. The two little restaurants at the guard gate have excellent food. The hole in the wall one makes their own pies that are delicious. Five minutes out of the gated community is a WalMart Super Store and Home Depot where we got our supplies. We had fun shopping and eating in Rosarito. The home is so beautiful you really do not want to leave. I love to cook and the kitchen had everything you need and an ocean view to go with it. The owner provides bottled water and you have a washer and dryer to use. The home is huge, very clean and has a beautiful fire place. Absolutely the best vacation my husband and I and our babies have ever had. The owner is a very nice lady and the property manager was very helpful in getting fire wood delivered for the fire place. A dream come true vacation. Darleen and Randy
MILLION DOLLAR PACIFIC VIEW! Open, airy and welcoming. Lot's of off street parking. You feel like you are on your own island. Watch dolphins play in the surf, sea birds gliding in formation along the cliffs, and if you're lucky, see grey whales migrating as you look across to the Coronado Islands. The huge multi level patio deck draws you outside. Ad a cabana boy and you'd think you were at a four star hotel. There is a cozy fireplace, bar, dinning area and kitchen, all part of a large great room so no one will ever feel left out of the fun. The smaller cliffside apartment is completely seperated from the upstairs house, has it's own balcony, and your privacy is assured. It has large rooms with an ample kitchen and sunken living room. The bedroom is huge with a very nice bathroom. T.V. and stereo are in both the upstairs house and lower apartment. There are excelent restaurants within minuites of the gated neighborhood. Two blocks down the cobblestone street is a tennis court and swimming pool. Everyone we met was freindly and you can tell that this is where people live and raise their families. Many of the homes have been or are in the process of being renovated. Remember that this is still Baja Mexico and it is not as up to date and spiffy and across the border. I find it charming and real. Rosarito is a busy and bustling town with no hint of anyone being concerned with drug issues. It has all the large box stores, Depot, Cost Co etc. and you can usually find someone that speaks enough english to help you out.
Although there aren't as many Americans down there as there used to be, there were always some around anywhere we went. It seems that tourists are begining to see that Baja is as safe as it ever was. You are in a foreign country and you need to respect that. One nice thing about this house is that you are only 20 minuites from the border. You basically have the best of both worlds at a fraction of the cost of a similar San Diego beach house. Dolce Vida
