“Big Family Vacation with Young Adults”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2016

My husband and I and 5 of our young adult family enjoyed our vacation in this house. You do have to drive to get to the beach but for our family that wasn't a problem. We were comfortable, the house was clean. It was set up like two apartments joined by a common rec. room. There were two living rooms and kitchens on the upper floors. I would have preferred a common living room kitchen in between but the living/dining/kitchen area we used was big enough for the entire group. We used the other living area for a sleeping room. If we had our married daughter's family, they could have used it as a suite. As it was, it provided a quiet wing for the early sleepers. My adult children liked it. We didn't use the hot tub during our four days there.

Owner's reply: Hello, We are so happy you had a good time on your vacation. It is always our goal to give you the best experience possible. We look forward to having you back soon. Thanks, Heather

“Family Reunion”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2014

Havenhurst was absolutely perfect for our fairly large family reunion! Lots of parking, which was perfect due to two families who were coming in a camper van and travel trailer...there was still enough room for 4 more cars! The 4 bedrooms plus numerous sofa beds was perfect to accommodate some elderly and kids. We happily used the hot tub and the bonfire areas! The ONLY reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5, is that we would have really enjoyed a working BBQ for such a large group of people. Would we stay at this home again...ABSOLUTELY!! Thank you for providing such a perfect, quiet and fairly close to the beach place to enjoy our family and friends!

“Had a blast!”

Everyone loved this awesome beach house, plenty of room for everyone, well maintained, only complaint is lack of baking dishes/rust on dishes and the gas grill was rusted out and unusable, so we grilled over the fire pit and roasted marshmallows.

“2nd Anniversary get away”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2014

We arrived almost at midnight our first night, so to pull up to the house and seeing it look the way it does in the online photos was wonderful. The house is spacious, clean, well appointed and relaxing. It was nice that the hot tub was heated and waiting for us when we got there. The way the house is set up is you enter into a common room that had entrances to either the right or left side of the house, like two separate apartments, the doors to these apartments also locked, so that was good. The bed was comfy and so was the furniture, not run down and scary. To find a place that was secluded but yet close enough to Tillamook and state parks allowed us to feel like we really got away from grownup land for a bit. I have already inquired about dates to stay here again. I would recommend to couples, families or even a couple families who want to vacation together but with the chance to have their own space.

“Crabbing Getaway”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2013

The house was large and had great accommodations for our whole group of family and friends. Everything was clean and in its place when we arrived. The hot tub was great. There was ample parking, we even had a small boat with us. The house is just about a mile drive from Schooners and the boat launch and at the end of the street down by the bay is a great clamming spot. The neighbors were really friendly. I think we will definitely be returning sometime in the future.

“Nice Home”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2011

This house is very secluded off the highway tucked in the trees with a nice large back yard for kids to play in. The upper balconies were great along with the back deck, and the two mini kitchens leave plenty of room for cooking. 2 large living rooms are awesome. Only about 8 minutes into Tillamook where there is a Safeway and Fred Meyer that are great for shopping. Only minutes from the bay for clamming. Hot tub is great. Laundry room came in very handy and the house is stocked with plenty of extra blankets, comfortable fluffy pillows and towels. Pros: House is roomy, clean, great for big families and kids, lots of room outside to play and secluded from any neighboring houses. Cons: Hot tub jets do not work and the hot water heaters are not turned up enough , you can only get a five minute shower if you are lucky. The owner of this property really needs to turn them up a notch or two.
