Description from owner
The River Song is the ideal getaway. Whether you like fishing or hunting, hiking or just being one with nature.. It is a beautifully renovated cabin. The walls of the cabin are knotty Pine wood with a light stain, giving the cabin a warm cozy feel. The floors are inlaid tile, which is nice for easy clean up. No need to worry!
The bedroom has a queen bed with south western styled Pendelton bedding and unique hand-made leather curtains. The bedroom also has an entertainment center with a flat screen tv, perfect for relaxing on movie night.
The living room has a brand new leather couch with queen size sofa sleeper that match the south western/country decor. The living area is an open space, prefect for gathering around at mealtime or game time!
There has been plenty of thought given to entertainment, with the 3 flat screen televisions, 1 of which is 50+ inches. There is even one in the bathroom that can be seen from the shower, so you won't miss any part of the game! Speaking of the shower. The bathroom has a jetted tub for some serious down time. The bathroom also features a full body sprayer on the back wall and the standard shower head on the other.
There is a river view from the property, and you would travel less then fifty feet to reach the river for skipping rocks or fishing for the perfect catch.

Well maintained cabin in a beautiful location! It sits adjacent to the Wilson river with great river access. The cabin is well provisioned and has everything you will need. Reading a past comment, I found the knives to be extremely sharp! The only thing which could be improved is replacing some of the pots which have the Teflon worn off. I found this rental to be a very good value. It is centrally located to all the area attractions and in a beautiful area! It looks like we caught the end of the fall Chinook salmon run and only saw a few landed ... we didn't have much luck. Better timing next time as we were also a little early for the steelhead run. Never got a chance to go crabbing or clamming which was on our list but this is an excellent area. As far as local restaurants, we stopped at the Pacific Oyster Company in Bay City for dinner the first night and went back two times... it's that good. The oyster stew, calm chowder and cioppino were excellent! And on Wednesday they had an all you can eat oyster special for $12 (grilled, fried or sauteed) Yum!
The location was perfect, the amenities were great (the TV's were abundant!), and Pete, the owner, was wonderful. He brought us fresh razor clams one daythat he had dug; they were delicious! We fished the Trask, WIlson and Nestucca rivers on this trip and the property was centrally located for our fishing endeavors. The property is situated on the confluence of the Little North Fork and the Wilson Rivers. We caught no fish there but saw a mother mallard and her ducklings paddling along the bank of the Wilson just where the Little North Fork comes into the Wilson.
Owner's reply: I am so glad you enjoyed your time with us! Pete is wonderful and a wealth of knowledge about fishing in the area. Thanks!
