Great home. Well maintained and clean. Nice view of the lake from just about everywhere. We had coffee with the geese (and their babies) every morning and was visited by deer every evening. Would definitely recommend.

Great weekend escape from nyc

If you need a place to get away from nyc this is the spot. It was a short 1 1/2 hour drive, but you feel like you are in some remote spot. The house was adorable, everything a cabin in the mountains should be. It was in a nice gated neighborhood so for us new yorkers you felt safe and not too out in the woods, but it was right on a lake and so private. I would love to come back to this house in the summer to enjoy the lake activities. The hot tub outside on the deck was just what we needed. There is nothing like sitting outside in a hot tub in freezing temps while its snowing. If you haven't done it you should. We took a small group of friends and had a really relaxing weekend for my wife's birthday. We cooked some great meals (house had any utensil, cooking apparatus you needed), played board games (we brought our own, but the house ended up having plenty) and sat around the fire. You really don't need to bring much, the only thing we brought was towels, toiletries and warm clothes. We went grocery shopping when we got there (go early, things close super early in the mountains) and got all food needed. We ended up going to the casino one day which was a lot of fun and only about a 10-15 min drive. We planned on going snow tubing, but it was so cold we decided to just stay in and hang out with friends. The only trouble we had was when we arrived it was dark and freezing and I didn't read instructions as well as I should have hah, I went to the wrong lock box for the keys. I called Irina and she answered right away and informed me what to do. She was very sweet and told us if we needed anything to feel free to contact her. Overall, great experience, already planning our return in Feb!
