The upstairs room is equipped with two full beds. A full bath on each floor with a complete laundry. All towels and linens provided. Only necessary to bring yourself, family (pets included), friends, and personal belongings. The downstairs is a great room (living room, dining area, kitchen) with phenomenal views up the lake. Comes with a 12 foot boat with 5 1/2 hp motor. Close to: unique shopping areas (Alden and Elk Rapids) and terrific food; jet-ski, pontoon boat, and runabout rentals; good golf nearby. Area Information
The south end of Torch Lake is just north of the road between Kalkaska and Traverse City, and 10 miles from Lake Michigan. Torch Lake has been called the World's Third Most Beautiful Lake. It is 20 miles long, and was gouged by the same glacier as the Great Lakes, but is not part of the Great Lakes water system. Traverse City, at the base of Grand Traverse Bay, is a mecca of good food and exciting summer activities like the National Cherry Festival, the Film Festival, and By the Bay Equestrian Festival. It is also the gateway to the Leelanau Peninsula and Old Mission Peninsula, both of which boast many wineries. Wine tasting is a great activity, We are also an hour from Interlochen, the National Arts Academy and Music Camp, and the famous Michigan Sand Dunes. In the other direction, we are 45 minutes from Charlevoix.

Wonderful week at Torch lake

August 4, 2013

We had a great time at the cottage. It had everything we needed for the week. The beach was nice and water is crystal clear and clean. It's very convenient having the store across the street,my boys were able to walk there and buy ice cream and get some snacks. We also rented a boat from the marina ,which is also across the street. The only con was that we thought that the houses were a little further apart and it was wooded all around, only because we like to take stroll through them. The owners were very nice and provided us with whatever we needed.

Owner's reply:

Thank you. We're so glad you had a good time. We, too, wish it were more wooded. That's what we were looking for when we found and bought our little 20x20 place. It's certainly grown since then. However, when we looked out the front window, we kind of forgot.
