About the area

When I discovered there was a brand new Gulf/Beach front complex being built on Treasure Island Beach in 2006, I wanted to buy a unit. At the time, buying pre-contruction allowed a significant reduction in price so I bought one and watched as it grew into one of the most beautiful properties on the beach. Being an original owner has allowed me to watch how popular and family friendly Sunset Vista Condos has become over the years. People from all over the world come back to Sunset Vistas over and over again!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Stayed April 2016:
Everything about this listing lived up to expectations. It overlooks the beautiful white sand beach and with gorgeous sunsets at night. Carolyn was a terrific host - providing easy to follow instructions on getting into the unit and recommendations for dinner and activities throughout the week. The condo was clean and updated and very comfortable. And, surprisingly, the walls were very sound-proof. We didn't hear any sounds from our neighbors. (If any of you have stayed in other condos on vacation, you know what I mean. :-) The Sunset Vistas complex is kept clean and is very pretty. We utilized the pool mostly, so can't comment on the tiki bar or on-site store. The pool and jacuzzi are very nice to dip into after a day at the beach. On the beach are umbrellas and chairs to easily rent for the day. Be on the look out for dolphins hunting just offshore. For those who like to walk, venture across Gulfport Blvd and walk among the canal homes on Lagoon Ln. If you make it John's Pass Marina in the morning, you can see a lot of herons and egrets and cormorants hunting. There is a lot to see and do in the St. Pete area. Some suggestions include: * Visit Ft. DeSoto State Park - you can bike, kayak, fish, and swim. * Market day in Gulfport - it's a fun, laid-back artsy scene * St. Petersburg downtown - visit the Chihuly glass exhibit or the Dali museum before eating at one of the many sidewalk restaurants * Hurricanes at Pass-a-Grille - a more laid-back scene than Treasure Island, which has more people
