RATES

Depending on the season and whether both houses are rented or just the main house the rate ranges from $975/week to $3900/week.

For full details, many more photos and availability calendar, please visit our site (see "More Information," below).

Our vacation home is located at the end of an 800-ft.-long driveway on a secluded, two-acre lot overlooking Cape Cod National Seashore. The house, which has been featured in a national magazine and two books, initially enjoyed a water view of Cape Cod Bay and 10-mile distant Provincetown from its small rooftop deck but trees conspired to take that view away but we still enjoys the expansive 360-degree view, sunsets and private sunning this contemporary "widow's walk" offers. Beaches are close by. The nearest bay beach (Fisher Beach) is 1-1/2 miles and Ballston Beach on the Atlantic is 2-1/2 miles. There is also a fresh-water pond about 2 miles from the house.

In addition to the two queen bedroom, there are two 18" thick air mattresses (one twin and one queen) that can be set up for children.

The owners live live in a small 1BR home (formally the "Guest House") that lies down a 150-foot long trail from the man house. The distance, change of elevation and trees protect your privacy. The owners often make their 1BR home available for rent (together with the Main House or separately) for a couple weeks in summer. As you can see from the photos included here, it has a nicely crafted hardwood interior and is perfect for a couple, a small family, or as a "space of our own" for older children. This home is air conditioned and has a nice stone patio with an outdoor fireplace and outdoor shower. Please ask for more information if you think you might be interested.

Just bring yourself! We supply bed and bath linens, beach chairs, and more. The main house kitchen is nicely appointed and fully equipped. There's a dual fuel range and a refrigerator with ice and filtered water on the door. There is a full-size washer-dryer, screened porch, whirlpool bath, picnic table, gas and charcoal grills, a hammock and an outdoor shower...with a view. Enjoy quality audio/video system with DVD/CD, satellite TV and MAC computer (connected to the TV). We have wireless high speed internet (cable) and free long distance phones.

“Loved... The Laurel in Truro !! Highly Recommend!”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2016

We had an incredible week. As always. The weather was perfect, we had the beaches to ourselves, esp. Longnook, mornings, for a swim. It doesn't get any better! We did all our favorite things, a couple days at Herring Cove, to swim, paddle, biked to Race Point, walk out to Hatchets Harbor. We paddled from the Coast Guard Station in P'town out to Wood End Light, among the seals. Had some nice days at Head of the Meadow, watching seals, surfed, swam, we all biked over to 6A, on the bike trail there, as well as Old KIngs Highway, over to Coast Guard Beach. We went to P'town to shop. Went to the Drive - In. Saw the sunset at Great Hollow or Pamet Harbor, then ice cream at Savorys every night. The restaurants were great,The Black Fish, Moby Dick's, The Bass Tavern, Mac's at Wellfleet Harbor, and Arnold's in Eastham are not to be missed! They know how to cook the seafood! Yum! Got in plenty of sun and fun! The house was lovely, so private, and had everything we needed. The upstairs screened porch was really nice. The yard was so quiet and peaceful, and private, cool and breezy for a rest out of the sun. The hiking/biking trails from the house were fun and adventurous! The proximity to our favorite beaches, the harbor, the local store 'Jam's' and farmers market were very convenient. It was easy to keep up. We enjoyed it thoroughly. We'll be back! Thank you!

“GREAT HOUSE, LOCATION AND OWNERS”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2016

Rented the main house for 2 weeks in June in 2014 and one week in June in 2015 and had a wonderful time both years. Open and airy upstairs level (great room in center, master bedroom off one end, screen porch off the other) is even nicer than photos suggested. Comfortable bedroom suite downstairs. Private and quiet with great views. 1 mile from Truro center, 5 minutes from magnificent ocean beach, and 15 minutes from Provincetown. House is well maintained, with owners who are well organized and receptive to questions or requests. We have rented many vacation homes over the years and feel this was among the very best. The next time we vacation on Cape Cod, we will definitely try to rent it again.

“We loved the house”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2016

A fully equipped and extraordinarily comfortable house. Plenty of room for company in a spacious kitchen/living/dining area with an large adjacent screened-in porch overlooking treetops. Lots of light and a roof-top observatory terrace for star-gazing. We give the house a 10 for upkeep and equipment--from well stocked kitchen to full electronic components and no-fail wi-fi. There is plenty of storage space and a full component of lovely bath and bed linens. Washer/drier, dishwasher, gas barbecue, beach chairs all there. Of course, we have rented again for this summer.

“Great choice for discerning, low-key Cape lovers”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2012

Well thought out, well furnished and decorated, excellent appliances, more electric outlets than any group could need for all their electronic devices, very clean. You will want to take good care of it and leave it as you found it. Our family has been renting on the outer Cape for decades and this house met the demanding standards of three generations!

“Great house.......and superb outdoor shower!!!!!!”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2012

We stayed in the main house with our adult daughter, and it suited our needs perfectly. She was able to have her own bedroom downstairs with TV without disturbing us. The kitchen was very well stocked. The sound system was great, with speakers in every room. Completely enjoyed the openness of the main living area. The house had lots of games and puzzles. Small grocery store (Jams) very close by. The outside shower was phenomenal, and the view AMAZING!!!! We would highly recommend this house for the time of year we went.

“The Laurel Main House, Two Week September Stay”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2011

Maddy and I took a two-week off season rental at the Laurel Main House from September 17 to October 1, 2011. The house is perfectly laid out for two couples. The downstairs bedroom has its own bathroom and offers great privacy. There is even a fold-up bed downstairs for an additional guest. Upstairs, the house has everything we were looking for to accommodate a two-week stay. The master bedroom is very comfortable, with plenty of storage in the walk-in closet. The kitchen/living/dining area has everything you might need for meal preparation and entertaining. Even the entertainment system is well thought-out. It offers Direct TV, CD/DVD player, and internet access through a MAC computer. There is wireless access if you bring your own laptop. The screened-in porch located off the living area was great for having some wine and cheese and great conversation. Additionally, we had access to the garage, which was great for storing suitcases, beach chairs, bicycles, etc. The house is in beautiful wooded surroundings, and the setting is quiet, restful, and stress-free. From Truro, the drive to Provincetown is less than ten miles and all that Wellfleet offers is that distance or less. We even went to the large Stop & Shop in Orleans to stock up on food at only 17 miles distance. You could say that the location in Truro is great for anywhere on the Outer Cape. Our bottom line is that we stayed in a great home and had a great time on the Cape in September. We highly recommend the Laurel for consideration as a temporary home on Cape Cod.

“Great Get Away”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2011

We stayed at the Guest House in July of 2011 and had a wonderful time. I love how the home gives the rustic hide away vibe (so you truly feel like you are on vacation) with all the conveniences of today's technologies-flat screen TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi, AC, etc. I was also pleasantly surprised how stocked the kitchen was with all different pans, bowls, kitchen tools, etc. I had everything I needed. Also, outside there is a gas grill, outside shower, a table and chairs, beach chairs, hammock...There is nothing that the place lacks! The woodwork is truly remarkable and the place is beautiful. It is so quaint and comfortable, and the location was convenient to everything. We can't wait to come back again!!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

"I was fortunate enough to stay at the Laurel during the winter 2006. It is a wonderful house with all the modern amenities (whirlpool tub, satellite television, rooms wired with stereo speakers, etc.). The house looks out on the marvelous Truro landscape and creature comforts that can be found in Wellfleet, Orleans, or Provincetown are never very far away. The owner was extremely easy to work with on securing the property, too. All in all, a wonderful experience had by all. I would highly recommend a break from the ordinary and stay at the Laurel."
-Andy Cutler, Providence, RI

The house and guest house were delightful and very practical and handy. Your instructions answered every question we had. We prepared mussels, flounder, and scallops at home, had lobster in Ptown and also managed to chow down at Black Fish (it was Ashley's night off). We also swam, sunbathed, and strolled at either Marconi Beach and Newcomb Hollow Beach pretty much every day. The beach blanket and chairs came in handy. One day Marconi Beach was the hangout for six giant seals. It was high tide and so they were very near the shore and staring at us. They seemed quite curious. We never got to their gathering place near Head of the Meadow Beach. We had great weather and a wonderful vacation. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We cleaned it like there was no tomorrow and left it in good shape for your upcoming visit.
