“A little piece of heaven.”

Had a great time here. Very private location with a great view of Province Town across the bay. The dotage is a great house with lots of room and very well maintained. I recommend this vacation hide away very highly.

“A magical place”

This was our second summer in this cozy cottage on the beach by the bay. It's a quiet neighborhood, perfect for a family, providing the bay, amazing sunsets, the Pamet river and a short drive to Ptown and the ocean. We love it here!!! Can't wait to come back!

“Peaceful place”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2015

In the interest of full disclosure, be aware that this property is on the rustic side. You're required to bring your own linens and towels, the bedrooms are small and very close to one another and there is no air conditioning (there are plenty of fans and cool evening breezes though). The lap of luxury it is not, but if you take it for what it is it's a wonderful escape in a beautiful spot. We had our family of 5 there and it was perfect for us. It is a short walk to Fisher beach which is beautiful and very peaceful. A busy day sees about 30 people on the whole beach and with a short walk you can have the place to yourself. It is on the bay side of the cape where the waters are calmer and warmer then the ocean beaches. The Pamet river is a short walk up the beach and is a great little escape at low tide. Lots of hermit crabs, minnows and other creatures for kids to play with and explore. Clam waters to kayak or paddle board as well. Truro is a wonderful area to relax. Lots of biking and several beautiful beaches on the bay and ocean. A handful of restaurants close by but no major hotels, resorts or giant houses to spoil the peace and quiet or the gorgeous views. Wellfleet and Provincetown are close by if you need more stimulation or restaurant options. Long story short, this home is a roof over your head. But assuming you'll be out enjoying the beaches, whale watching, kayaking or one of the many other things the cape has to offer, that's all you need.

“We would go back anytime!”

Very well equipped, large, well-maintained house in an excellent location. A very short walk to either a bay beach or a nature preserve. A veranda overlooking the bay excellent for sunset watching and a lower patio which is more secluded. Great place for a family or a mixed group. Two bedrooms have double beds, one has 2 twin beds and 2 bedrooms have one single bed each. Very close to one of the best restaurants in the cape--Blackfish. Easy drive to p-town and my favorite village--Wellfleet. Our dogs were very happy there. The place is very nice but not so prissy that you have to worry every min about a well-behaved dog. Security deposit was promptly returned.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this adorable beach cottage. All the bedrooms were so cozy and the living space was so comfortable. It was so convenient to a private bay beach, had amazing views of sunsets over the water right from the deck and close to ocean beaches and P-town. Needless to say, we didn't want to leave!

“lovely oldfashioned beach cottage..”

our extended family had a lovely time at this cottage. the kitchen was very well equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable. the internet worked faultlessly, which we've found to be unusual for most vacation rentals. we'd definitely rent here again.

“We got SO lucky!”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

At the last minute we decided to go to the beach. I found this gem of a rental online after hours of searching. My tenacity paid off big time! To tell the truth, I think we just got lucky because of a cancellation. The busiest week of the summer and you wouldn't have known it. The cottage is on a dead end road (some traffic, but not too bad) and the private beach and surrounding nature preserve made for an idyllic place to be in the summer. There was ample space in the cottage and our three dogs were extremely comfortable during the day while we went to the ocean thanks to a ton of fans-one or two in every room! We would definitely rent this place again next summer-here's hoping we plan a bit better & stay a little longer!

“Perfect location on private beach”

This is a very special house. It was clean and well furnished with amazing views and just steps from the beach! The house has everything you need for a perfect vacation with wonderful beach access to the beach and Pamet River. The owner was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend.

Owner's reply: Thank you Betsy, I'm so glad you enjoyed your time in our home. Please come back next year!

“Wonderful vacation week”

We enjoyed our week in this wonderful and clean house tremendously. This house is at perfect distance to the beach (less than 2min walk) and offers a great view from the deck. It's quiet location was exactly what we were looking for!

“What an absolute pleasure!”

Gail and John were so wonderful to speak with prior to our arrival. Gail was so nice and informative; really great folks. Their house was absolutely amazing and everything we had hoped for. Plenty of space for 4 high school girls and my wife and myself. Great decks and awesome blueberries all around the property. The kitchen and bathrooms being redone made the house really superb. Four twin beds in two rooms and queens in the other two gave us options that most rentals couldn't. The private beach was just that, totally private and absolutely superb in all aspects. Super close to public beaches on the ocean side (we went to two ocean beaches) as well. Close to P-town, and the morning jaunt to Orleans for groceries wasn't bad at all. Both Truro and North Truro are cute (but not much there, perfect). We kayaked on the Pamet River and brought several bicycles for great road riding and bicycle trail riding (both in P-town and on the cape cod rail trail). This is an excellent rental property and we are extremely happy with how our vacation worked out.
