Description from owner

Our home is ideal for family vacations, reunions or retreats needing space, easy living and lots of nearby activities. The house comfortably sleeps 12 or more, has a "cook's" sky-lit kitchen, AC for muggy nights, amply spaced bedrooms with new mattresses and relaxing rooms with plenty of seating for private time. Modern kitchen appliances, large screened porch and living/dining room for family meals for up to 20; 2 bedrooms and bathroom in the front section of the house; a windowed hallway over a small sun court leads to a 3-story sleeping and family addition. Downstairs: ping pong, DSL wifi, Cable TV, DVD, brand new queen sofa bed, bathroom and lovely outdoor shower; second floor: master suite with queen bed, own bathroom and private deck; guest room with queen bed; spiral staircase upstairs to loft area with two twin beds, a double, and room for extra air mattresses -- typically the room for all the kids and cousins!

Take in the lazy days of summer, the fresh water ponds and the ocean, the woods and the beautiful Cape light -- the cure for all stress!!

$4900 a week and 10% discount on second week if rented for a two-week stretch.

About the area

The villa-style layout gives adults and young folk plenty of space (including the hammock outside for some summer reading in the shade)! Our well-appointed home is an ideal choice for rest, relaxation, and fun. Nature provides great scenery and clear Cape Light for photographers. Our secluded house is on 1.3 acres, surrounded by woods of the National Seashore. It is a 15-minute walk through the woods and dune trails to the uncrowded, picturesque Ballston Beach. Truro has its own arts community and 10 terrific Ocean and Bay Beaches. We are a 20 minute drive to Provincetown's shops, restaurants, theater, whale watching, galleries, street life, parades, lighthouse and the Provincetown Airport. Going the other direction, we are 15 minutes to Wellfleet's antiques, art galleries, Zagat-rated restaurants, oysters, stage theater and family fare (golf, cinema, fishing, boating, Mass Audubon nature park, and National Seashore Ranger hikes and lectures).
