Description of the Tucson vacation home rental
"Casa Linda" is a high-desert retreat which features Southwestern style decor in a spacious, elegant and comfortable home.

The setting, 35 miles north of Tucson in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains, is semi-rural, secluded and quiet with sweeping desert and mountain vistas and exceptional night skies.

Visitors will find interesting wildlife and bird-watching opportunities on the 3 acres of land that belong to 'Casa Linda', as well as across the whole area that surrounds this beautiful place. The home also offers good access to numerous trails in wilderness settings which are ideal for hiking and mountain biking. The Arizona Trail passes through Oracle and the Oracle Ridge Trail can be reached on foot directly from our backyard.
Area Information
Casa Linda is located in a small community called Oracle, on the north slopes of the Santa Catalina mountains, not far from the active adult communities of SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch and very close to the world famous Earth systems science research facility of Biosphere 2.

For those of you who like some thrills, you might like to know that it is also the home of the longest zipline in Arizona (just search for "Arizona Zipline Adventures" for more information on this).

There are interesting local shops, cafes and good restaurants nearby as well as a post office and library. Oracle is well known for its art festivals and thriving art community. Numerous events are organized throughout the year where you will be able to meet the locals, marvel over the work of some of the artists, enjoy good food and music as well as purchase organic fresh products of the farmers and ranchers of the area.

PLACES TO VISIT for wonderful day outings (the 1st three are very close):

- Oracle State Park
- Biosphere 2
- Arizona Zipline Adventures
- Catalina State Park
- Sonora Desert Museum
- Old Tucson Studios
- Sabino Canyon
- Arivaipa Canyon Wilderness & Wildlife Reserve

Quiet Respite

January 27, 2014

Ah! We were rescued from double digit below zero temps at home to find this tranquil, star-ladened retreat. Wondering the area of Tucson during the day was an easy task, and returning at night to a fire in the fireplace was relaxing. The place is so well equipped that we lacked for nothing, especially in the kitchen. There are hiking trails and horseback riding close, and the people of the area are truly friendly.

Owner's reply:

Thank you very much for saying such wonderful things about our home. We know it is a lovely place and we feel exactly the same as you when we are there. It is a lovely "home away from home" for us, too. We are privileged to be able to share it with our guests and love it when they take the time to write reviews.

Outstanding property. All amenities were accurate as described. Phenomenally well-equipped kitchen and house We did not want for any utensils, dishes, equipment, or incidentals. Appreciate the high-speed internet and cable with a multitude of channels. Very comfortable house with lovely furnishings. Beds were excellent. Quiet surroundings. Wonderful hiking just a few minutes from the house. A wonderful place for a retreat whether for one week or three months.

Dear Paul Tillquist,

Thank you very much for your review: it is so good to know that our visitors appreciate "Casa Linda" because it means that the attention we put into details is worth while. We are, therefore, delighted with your response and have a feeling we might see you there again one day. From our experience people who fall in love with the place, like you did, usually return.

All the best,

Second Christmas at Casa Linda

January 4, 2013

Our second time renting Casa Linda in Oracle, Arizona was as enjoyable as the first. Pros: -The fireplace adds a lot of character and provides a great break in the open layout. -Location is very private. -The owners had the caretakers set out Christmas decorations that made the house feel like home away from home. -Well equipped kitchen made a Christmas dinner easy to prepare. -Rooms are well spaced out providing a lot of privacy. -My grandparents live in the town - this may not be a pro for anyone else - but it's the reason we returned and hope to do so again in the future. Cons: The lower level can be a bit cold in the winter. Thank you for renting out Casa Linda and I hope you will continue to do so.

Beautiful Home

June 6, 2012

We stayed at Casa Linda for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home has everything you could want and accommodated my husband and I with our 3 small dogs perfectly. We found the small town of Oracle to be a fun spot to visit with several good restaurants and a very convenient grocery store. A very relaxing and enjoyable home base for a number of outings in and about the Tucson area. We had a great time!

We really enjoyed staying in your home. Eventhough it was advertised 35 miles from Tucson, the drive, with all of the stop lights, took a minimum of 45 minutes. After 7 days of driving into town or surrounding areas, we really got tired of the drive. Oracle and Catalina have great restaurants. The house was very comfortable.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful yet 5Star accommodations then look no further. Only 45 mins drive to Tucson on an excellent highway. If you enjoy classical music, as I do, the CD collection was superb as was the library and DVD selection. I would highly recommend this property.

This was perfect accommodation for 3 couples (or 5 people, as we were) - it was like having 3 suites, lots of privacy. This is not easy to find. And lots of other space too. We enjoyed the kitchen, living and dining room, and the Arizona room would have been lovely had the weather been a bit warmer.

Paola and David,

We just returned from our visit to the Tucson area. Thanks so much for making your lovely Casa Linda home available to us. We enjoyed the views and particularly your fine selection of books and CDs. And Becky was a perfect host.

We hope to revisit Casa Linda in the future.

David & Paola,

I just wanted to let you know we had a great time in Oracle this past week-end. Your house is beautiful and was perfect for our weekend getaway. We've rented houses before, that mentioned having all the amenities but yours was the first one that actually did. We didn't need to bring a thing except or food. We did a lot of hiking around Oracle State Park and up into Mount Lemon. We went to some wineries in Elgin (about 75 miles south - the winery in Vail was closed). We also went to the Desert Museum in Tucson, which was a lot of fun.

Thanks again. We will recommend your place to all our friends!

Regards, J.B. (from Phoenix)
