“Best place ever!”

I can't say enough about this place and would highly recommend it. It has gorgeous views of the mountains, a very private neighborhood, and is blissfully quiet. The pool is awesome! Elizabeth did an awesome job of decorating and it is very comfortable!

“Wonderful Place with an Excellent Hostess”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2015

This rental is in a very nice, quiet subdivision nestled into the outskirts of Tuscon. You have a private entry at poolside with a view of the mountains and an opportunity to observe local wildlife in the adjacent dry wash. The accommodations were impeccable. It was extremely clean and very nicely furnished. Kitchen is well equipped and very modern. Each bedroom has a private bath; spacious and very luxurious (one has a beautiful jacuzzi tub). The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable of the Tuscon area. We had a wonderful visit!!!

“Beautiful property!”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2014

This lower-level, in-law suite of a private home has beautiful views of the mountains, lights of downtown Tucson and the pool area. The interior has been completely renovated with a beautiful modern decor with touches of southwestern flair. Surrounded on three sides by oversized windows the views can be seen from nearly every room. The photos you see here are virtually identical to what you'll see on-site except for the exterior which was being painted from beige to grey, landscaping updates and a renovation of an area to a greenhouse. An off-street, non-covered parking spot is available. This leads to a series (15 or so) of low-rise stairs that take you to the lower-level private entrance directly off the lap-pool area. The owner was attentive, walking us through the property and checking in to see if there was anything we needed - one of the perks of having the owner on site. While you might feel like you're being watched, Elizabeth was very respectful of letting you know if she was going to be outside on the lower level (which only happened once), Hotel-sized toiletry items, coffee packets, two bottled waters and micro popcorn were nice touches not often found in a rental property. Plenty of nice bath towels and four pool towels were great. Temperature controls, ceiling fans and cellular shades keep the unit cool from the sunny near-southern exposure. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood (except for the nightly whoops and howls of nearby coyotes), you are close to Whole Foods and Safeway to pick up any grocery stores you may need. Which leads to the only thing lacking in the property. The gourmet kitchen that even includes a wine fridge has a hodge podge of cookware and utensils. Not being a cook herself, she mentioned that the she thought that the kitchen had been used very little. I see being able to prepare meals as a huge perk of staying in rental properties. For this particular stay, we were visiting our college son who appreciated a home-cooked meal. While I always just expect the basics at a rental and can easily make do with what is there, this just seemed like a oversight in a property otherwise so well thought out. If you just need a cup of coffee and piece of toast in the morning or to reheat in a microwave you'll have more than enough in the kitchen! Overall it is a beautiful, quiet property and if you like what you see in the photos you won't be disappointed!

“Awesome views, quiet retreat”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

This place is absolutely wonderful. It looks exactly like the pictures on the website. Everything is super clean and great beds and linens. The views from the kitchen and bedrooms can't be beat for beauty. The owner is lovely and very accommodating and gets back with answers promptly. We will definitely visit this place again. If you want peace and quiet and an up-to-date guesthouse with gorgeous views, this is your place. Great hiking and biking nearby also.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. It is always our desire to create the perfect relaxing getaway for our guests. It was a pleasure meeting you both, and please consider our desert retreat for a future visit.

“Private Luxury yet close to everything!”

Reviewed 19 Mar 2014

From start to finish this was absolute heaven! The owner has put so much thought and attention to detail in the renovations. My favourite was the lighting in the bathroom by the jacuzzi - lovely!!! Any question we had regarding our stay she was very quick to answer. The house is amazing and the pool was awesome (although a bit brisk this time of year and the owner was upfront about same). The view from the deck and bedrooms was breathtaking - especially at night. The barbecue was very user friendly as were the kitchen appliances. I love to cook and the kitchen was a dream come true! Absolutely loved the dishwasher as it was a compact so you didn't have the place smelling after three days - one meal - load it and put it on - 35 minutes later dishes were clean. Safeway and Whole Foods were 5 and 7 minutes away respectively. We aren't partiers so after exploring/shopping would settle in, have a swim and shower in the amazingly HUGE shower stalls or a bath in the jacuzzi, make dinner, and enjoy a beverage by the pool then watch a movie on the big screen TV in the media room. The beds were SO comfortable. In suite washer and dryer was great - I hate going home and having to do laundry! The sofa in the bedroom was lovely to curl up and read a book and look over to the view of Tucson. Couldn't believe the room we had. We can't wait to go back!

Owner's reply: I am so happy to hear that your stay at the Skyline House in Tucson was an enjoyable and relaxing private luxury escape. We believe that our guests deserve the best!! Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments and welcome back any time!! Elizabeth
