Peaceful, refreshing, clean
September 21, 2015
My group and I stayed here recently. Although it's not as far from sound of vehicles from the main road, it was still peaceful. It is a great place to observe God's beautiful creation with the nice pond and the trees surrounding it. It is also not far from a park where it is also quiet and you can walk the trails and explore more of creation. This cabin was also very clean and well stocked. We also had access to the paddle boat to go out on the pond which was a bonus because I'd never been in a paddle boat prior to this.

Great "unplugged" get away
September 17, 2015
Beautiful, woodsy spot and beautiful view of the pond. Nice, friendly neighbors, and wonderful owner Cameron. After a busy work season on Cape Cod, it was the perfect "unplugged" get away. Fun time exploring the surrounding areas-apple picking, Farmer's market, etc. Great dinners by the fire pit. Cozy cabin with plenty supplies (ie. pots, pans, towels, etc.) and comfy bed in the loft. So very quiet and relaxing!!! And, the dogs loved it too! We'll be back, Cam!
Very convenient and comfortable

We had a great time staying at Round Pond. The camp was comfortable and provided all of our needs. The kitchen was handy, and we got a good night's sleep every night. We were able to travel to the White Mountains, Portland, and Lewiston/Auburn from this location!
Perfect Little Get Away
August 28, 2015
So Quiet and Cozy. It was like our own personal pond. Cameron has this place setup so well that after just 30 minutes, it was like we lived there. Accommodations were perfect - even the fish cooperated. (there are some big fish in that small pond). We had everyone up for a "Family" day. Between the fishing, paddle boat, swimming, dart board, gasket toss and fireplace smores....everyone had a day to remember. Thanks, Cameron for a great get- away weekend. Dave & Sandy

The cottage had everything you would need. It was extremely relaxing and comfortable. The pond was clean and the fishing was great. Town is close by for food and entertainment. We will stay here again. The home owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Our second time staying at the cabin!
July 16, 2015
We had such a wonderful time! The cozy little cabin is within steps of a quiet peaceful pond and is equipped with all comforts of home! During our stay, our children enjoyed the swings out front, tubes for the pond, the pedal boat, and roasting marshmallows outside at the fire pit. Since this was our second trip to the cabin, we explored the local and coastal areas. We drove the 3 hour ride to Acadia National Park, went to Splashtown water park in Saco about an hour away, and Cranmore Adventure Park in North Conway New Hampshire which was a lovely hour and a half ride thru country roads. We made several trips into Auburn & Lewiston which were about 20 minutes away. Cameron called during our stay to check in and see if we needed anything. He is a wonderful host! If we find ourselves back up that way again Cameron is the first person I'd call for a place to stay. Thank you so much for creating wonderful memories for our family.

We rented the cottage for Columbus Day weekend. Our daughter 's college field hockey team was playing at Bates College. It was super close to campus. What a lovely place!!! My grandchildren agreed that out of all of our rental homes, this one was a favorite :) Cameron was so nice and helpful, he even sang songs with our two year old. LOL. It was warm and cozy and the view is great!! It is surely a place that we would love to return to in warmer weather. We enjoyed crackling fires at night in the fireplace outside and the cottage had all the comforts of home. The pond was so pretty as it was peak leaf season!! We got some beautiful family pictures while we were there. It's relatively close to coastal areas. We visited Reid State Park, how amazing.... If you ever decide to rent the cottage in the winter, please let me know, we would love to ski the area. Thanks again Cameron!!! You have a great little place there :)

Wonderful camp. Everything we needed was there when we arrived and Cam kept in touch to to make sure we were set during the week. The kids loved the paddle boat and the water was fine. Hopefully, we'll be able to come back next year.

we had a fabulous time. the kids loved it here and did not want to leave. we really only needed to bring our food and our clothes. the AIR CONDITIONING was a big plus for me...... the fire pit and the fire wood were very much appreciated. we had company come to spend the day and they all loved it here and called it cozy. the kids spent hours on the paddle boat and caught turtles & frogs. there are bass and hornpout in the pond for any fishermen. there were plenty of floats and life jackets and only wished there would have been a canoe too......... :) thank you Cam for a wonderful week......

We had a wonderful time at the cabin, the owner Cam showed us around the cabin when we arrived. The view was absolutely breathtaking, although it rained on a few days there was plenty to do. Our son's enjoyed the dart board and also the paddle boat, which was a big hit for all. The Edgecombs thought of everything, all we brought were our food and clothes, they even left water and soda for us. His daughter left us a dvd with tv for the kids, that saved us to get thru the rainy days. We highly recommend this cabin it was a great time and we look forward to our next visit. Cam thanks for you hospitality!!! The Batty's

What a cute cabin in the woods! You are not at all far from Route 4, but you would never know it. The pond is beautiful, water is clear. It's so quiet. My dog enjoyed playing in the water...it's a shame it rained the entire time I was there but we still enjoyed it very much! Hannaford's grocery in Turner is only 5 miles away, so that is very handy too. Great place for a small group of people that like the quiet country setting but also enjoy what the nearby city of Auburn has to offer.

Best Vacation Ever
September 5, 2013
My Husband and I stayed in this cute cottage for two weeks at the end of August. The weather couldn't have been better..Sunny warm days and cool sleepable nights. The cottage is near most businesses from food stores to shopping malls, but far enough out of town to be quiet and restful. We had a chance to visit with our family (especially our grand-daughter who had the best time swimming, kayaking and fishing). I can say if you are looking for a rustic, cozy get away, this is the place. The owners are absolutely fantastic and stocked the cottage with just about everything we needed (except the food). Waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the pond every morning was so peaceful, it was a sad day when we had to pack up and come home. Unfortunately, this was a "once in a life time" trip for my husband and I. I say unfortunate because we would like nothing better than to reserve this cottage for the end of August every year, but time and finances constrains us. I want to thank Cameron and Pam for a most excellent vacation. It truely was the best time of my and my husband's life.

The cabin is OK. But, we felt like we were staying in someone else's house as they have personal items lying around. The complaints we had are: The floors were filthy! The toaster only works on one side. The TV is analog and doesn't work except to watch static. The sofa bed was MISERABLE! It's old and uncomfortable. The bathroom floor is buckling and needs to be replaced. The lighting is terrible. You can't see much in the kitchen. The positives are: The owners are very accessible and will accommodate you. The view is beautiful of the pond. It is secluded, you feel like you are out in the woods by yourself. My children loved the queen size loft upstairs. They have a dart board in the basement and life jackets and floats for the pond. The paddleboat was fun.
We appreciate any and all comments and will take this suggestions to improve future renters experiences. We will replace the toaster and clean the the floors also i have taken the TV off the cabin amenities and removed it from the premises as for the sofa bed it is fine if the additional foam padding is used. As for the personal items this is a second family retreat there for there will always be personal items in the property. Regards Cameron Edgecomb
Great for kids and adults

The cottage is clean and well stocked . The only thing we needed was our own food. The pond was good for fishing and swimming and my kids loved the paddle boat and all of the floats there. Located on a dirt road with virtually no traffic my kids were able to ride their bikes whenever they wanted which was a nice change from home. Even though we went in August the temperature was never uncomfortable. There are plenty of trees and always a nice breeze. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. It was a great place for my kids to spend time outside. It slept the six of us comfortably. The location is great too if you don't want to be too far from stores. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go again.
