NO HURRICANE DAMAGE TO THIS CONDO! INCREDIBLE OFF SEASON SPECIALS!
Watch huge cargo ships pass and dolphin play! Off our beach is where the dolphin tour boats come! :) We are fairly new to this listing service but have been on another for years. You can find more reviews on 2232 on another service called vacation rentals by owner. We show 3 cut and pasted in our testimonials section on this site. Watch the birds follow the shrimp boats and enjoy the wonderful sandy beach and the island's largest pool AND another pool..AND a kiddie pool! Tennis anyone? We have courts for you for FREE use! There is a security gate. Most don't want to stay where teenagers with boom boxes and roar through and disturb the peace! :) Our convenient access to back streets makes it a wonderful area for biking, and bikes are readily available for rental on Tybee! So are various sizes of golf cart type vehicles but you must take care to follow city regulations on the use of those.
The suite offers a queen bed, two shipmate bunks for children in the hall, and a queen sleeper sofa! You have your OWN wifi and don't have to rely on the signal outside by the pool! :)

This is about a short 15 or 20 minute drive from downtown Savannah... island hopping across beautiful water and marsh views! These secluded, private condos are situated on the sought after North Beach of Tybee Island on the "Tybee Roads" sector of the Atlantic Ocean. (defined by federal Colregs.)
Important! We have an emergency repair gentleman on call for property should you have a repair emergency! This is most important if your toilet clogs, etc. You'll find so many differences with us! You can also arrive at whatever late hour you choose IF you wish to come late. You don't have to rush to get to a real estate company before it closes or wait around for someone to let you in! (You'll have the means to let yourself in.)

This is a GORGEOUS area of Tybee, which is probably why Sandra Bullock bought a home only about 75 yards from this location along our same stretch of beach! See the lovely lights from Hilton Head on clear nights from the beach or beachwalk. (Hilton Head juts out into the ocean like Tybee does.) Surf fish to your heart's delight! Huge cargo ships pass as they head to and from the port of Savannah as well as shrimp boats, etc. NONE of those big public parking lots in the area means you have uncrowded beach. Join us any month of the year for a marvelous Tybee/Savannah experience!

“Great first time in Tybee!”
This was our first time in Tybee Island (my husband & I) & we had a great time! The owner responded very quickly to my inquiry. All of the dates we wanted weren't available so they worked with us to make it happen! All questions were answered prior to payment/paperwork. They sent us a nice guest packet with lots of island info & check-in instructions. Check-in couldn't have been easier! The condo was clean and as advertised. They provided some snacks, paper products, linens, towels, & beach chairs/towels which was nice! Couldn't have asked for more! The kitchen was perfect for cooking, we cooked everyday except 1 (eat at The Crab Shack!) Wifi/cable worked great, we still got to watch the Olympics some! There are grills available outside which was nice! We didn't use the pool but it looked very big & nice! The beach access was great! It felt like a private beach. We saw lots of activity in the water with fish, birds, & tons of dolphins! The condo is close to the lighthouse which was fun to tour! Check-out was very easy & we still got to enjoy the afternoon on the island. We had a blast & will definitely be staying again! Thanks for providing us with a great stress free vacation! Highly recommended!!!

We stayed here for a week.We enjoyed it and plan to come back.The condo was very clean.The only thing we did not like was the fact that they close the pool ever night at 9pm.For our family this was a bummer especially when your on vacation.

The Board of Directors has set those hours for a few reasons. 1. Noise. The complex gets visitors with small children for whom that is bedtime or past bedtime and they deserve to not have lots of outside noise disturb their rest. 2. SAFETY!! Darkness for people in our out of the water could be hazardous. 3. Cleaning. Done every night, which is GREAT! :) Thanks!
we stayed for two weeks at Tybee Island racquet club. Beautiful location, beautiful pool, and wonderful ocean area Our condo was small but you could not ask for anything nicer, and fuller equipped. With only two of us it was perfect..Very quiet. Our owners were so accomodating. Beach towells were included, beach chairs and sand toys for children,books for reading dvds for watching television, you name it they provided it,even a small welcoming bag. Wonderful area if you do want not the noise of the city,excellent restaurants I highly reccomend it. ron and michalene ,

The condos are all 1 bedroom; this one is larger than a number of them that are smaller on the end of the building. As you saw though, we have it set up with bunks for children and a queen sleeper, and generally there are more than two people. “What a great vacation spot!”
Arrived and found exactly what was in the pictures! Great condo for a couple or a couple with 2 children! Lots of room and great wifi! Came in and connected 2 laptops and a tablet and it works great! With us owning a business it surely came in handy! Susan is great to work with...no problems at all! We will be back...soon! I highly recommend this rental!

I just contacted the owner of "The Captain's Quarters" for another visit in spring and she asked me to please post a review no matter what I thought of the visit this fall. I appreciate that approach and I'm glad to. i should have done it before. First, I recommend dealing ONLY with local owners. We've learned that the hard way. Things can happen that require owner assistance. I'd also look at the majority of the reviews. Every owner can get a nut (sorry) or someone who's mad at the world, but if 90% of the reviews are "one way" you can tell what your experience will be. We hadn't been to the area when we booked, so the owner emailed us a lot of area pictures. She gave a complete explanation by email of about 60 lines when we inquired. I hate it when people just say "it's available and here's what it costs." I can tell THAT from the listing and calendar. Also, we were given a full contract with everything in writing which pleased my husband. AND..we were sent a big packet of brochures and area info on parks and attractions and tours and bike rentals and so forth before we came. We are coming back because we enjoyed this professional and warm approach very much and had a great experience. The condo was very clean and beachy, which I personally like. I don't want to stay at the beach in a condo that looks like it could be anywhere. We had two flat screen t.v.s and books and movies and all we needed. This place has the biggest pool on the island and beach just beyond the pool. The condos are small; don't expect the taj mahal (sp?) for what you pay. There are crummy motel rooms on Tybee for more than this. Anyway, we highly recommend this owner from experience and are glad to be returning in March to a very comfy and nice and clean environment.

We arrived to a beautifully decorated, well equipped condo with a great water view and great pool view! We met the lady who owns a hospitality co. that does the cleaning on our way in; she was very charming and gave us her phone number and said to call her if there were any issues. There were not; it was immaculate. We appreciated the starter supply of things we needed so we didn't have to run to the grocery store first thing. The one thing we wished was that we could bring our dog, but we understood that is against condo association rules. The owners can't help that. I guess a lot of maybe barking dogs around might disturb other visitors in condos here that might happen to rent out. We met a guy who lives here and he said he can't have a dog either but there are good reasons. The kids were crazy about the bunks! We haven't been to this island before and it was great to plan ahead due to all the information on things to do that was mailed to us. We never would have found the parks without that information in our guest package! We called the owner with a couple of questions and he was quick to respond and just great. Be sure and climb the lighthouse; it's a lot of steps but the views from up there are amazing. You get a good view of Ft. Screven where a lot of generals served like Eisenhower we found out from the Lighthouse staff!

We've rented motels at Tybee many times due to having relatives close by without room for us. The last 2 or 3 years we've felt priced out of the market. We know Tybee has been picked the number one east coast beach by trip advisor and has lots of awards like that. The prices are high I guess due to huge demand and the fact that it's a small city and it doesn't allow high rises. We were pretty much priced out of the motels, even the crummy ones where we wouldn't stay anyway. A guy I whined to about Tybee prices on my same hospital shift suggested I try a condo by owner,and told me about the one where he has stayed twice. The Captain's Quarters.My friend said he has stayed in about nine of these condos before this one which he is now stuck on, because it has a dishwasher which he didn't get before and beach chairs and beach towels provided and beachy decorating and a bedroom t.v. which he didn't get before and things like that. He said the owners are great and REALLY reasonable for so much more than a motel! I wrote the owner. Wow. I got a long explanation of everything in very welcoming manner. I said I trusted it due to my co-worker and asked where I could send a deposit. I was told by the owner "no no...we'll email you a contract first with all your info and costs and terms and conditions to be VERY sure you understand everything and are happy with everything before you send us money." My wife is a paralegal and thought that is always important and really liked that. When we said the deposit was in the mail, we got sent a big what they call "guest packet" full of information about all sorts of attractions and activities and the beach rules and so forth, and a letter giving us directions and how to get in. I wrote the owner for a couple of questions and got long and complete answers down to directions on how to get to Publix where we haven't shopped before. The condo was very clean and nice and had lots of extras for us. It's so nice and a money saver to have a kitchen instead of being in a motel with nothing like that much less a separate bedroom and balcony with water view from one side and tennis courts. We never thought about that and treated ourselves to new racquets so we could play!! The pool is HUGE and the beach access right beside it is very handy. We took our coffee down to the beachwalk and watched ships and were lucky enough to see several groups of dolphin. We loved the condo and the owners and have the next time reserved!
