“Amazing Place!”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2016

Family of 5 stayed here for a week in July 2016. The cabin/home is spotless, and the décor was great! VERY secluded area with its own pier, If you bring your own boat, the launch is approx. 4 mi away. Fishing was not very good the week we were there but possibly due to heavy area rains a few wks prior to our visit. The owners were a pleasure and spot on with any questions, problems and we appreciated that. We HATE resorts, love to be away from noise, like our privacy and this was the perfect spot. VERY quiet. The road in off of Hwy 51 is a bit of a challenge as it is all gravel, lumpy so you have to take it slow. Spent one day at Copper Falls, (NOT to be missed!) . LOVED Bear Chasers Bar/Restaurant. Food was excellent and very friendly people! You can drive your boat there from the cabin(5mins) as opposed to driving there (20 mins). All in all, a great vacation for us and hope to return!!!!!

Owner's reply: We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and we hope to have you stay with us again. Todd and Beth

“Peaceful and Relaxing”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2015

We had a wonderful experience in the woods. The cabin was absolutely breath taking and gave a home sweet home feeling. We had a super time and would recommend a vacation to OtterDaWay to anyone looking for a stress free experience.

Owner's reply: We are so glad you enjoyed your time at our cabin. I must agree that when we are there it seems like the rest of the world disappears. We look forward to seeing you again next year. Todd and Beth Corbley

“Amazing”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2015

This cabin was unbelievable. Amazing view, huge inside and out, privacy, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this place! We even saw a baby wolf and a black bear. A much needed break from every day life .

Owner's reply: Wow, that is great. Some people may see one but to see a wolf and a bear. We try very hard to make everyone's stay as comfortable as we can so they can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of northern Wisconsin. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our cabin and we look forward to having you stay with us again.

“Secluded Get Away”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2015

Otterdaway was spacious and clean. The location offers much privacy and surroundings abundant with nature. The owners were responsive and friendly. They even took the time to send back my son's stuffed animal that was left behind. I would recommend this cabin as a great place to stay to get away from it all.

“Fishing/Hiking Trip”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2014

The purpose of our trip was to have a multi-generational fishing/hiking trip. While we could see the fish on the fish finder, we could not seem to catch them, and the people fishing were not novice. The hiking was amazing, we found several places to go. The only drawback was getting to a paved road took several minutes, which made our commutes less than pleasing. The house was wonderful, and everything we expected and more. It was very spacious, comfortable, clean and well managed. It was a serene place to get away and relax. The house was well stocked with things you would need to have a fun vacation. If you are going to stay there the entire week and not leave, it is a wonderful place. Todd was very available to answer questions. Overall it was a wonderful place.

“Nice place, would go back”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2014

We were very impressed with the cabin. Pretty much brand new with lots of amenities. The area is very secluded and quite, at least when we were there. We used the row boat and did some fishing but didn't catch anything. The lake seemed to have some decent habitat but we must not have been in the right place. All in all it was a great stay. If the price remains the same we will definitely go back.

Very nice lakefront property! Loved the view and easy access to Snowmobile trails. We slept great in the comfortable beds also. Great kitchen for cooking meals with modern amenities.

“Could Not Have Asked For More”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2012

We cannot say enough about this cabin! It is clean, spacious, wonderfully decorated, fully stocked (games, DVD's, swimming and fishing gear, boat, canoe) and a great view of the lake. The pictures really do not do it justice, it's way more than we expected! Both the adults and kids had a great time and we will definitely be back.

“Lovely home, simply and secluded stay”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2012

Our family of four, which includes two sons (6 and 11), spent a week at Otterdaway. We found the home itself perfect for our needs, with enough space to move around and store our things out of the way. We were looking for a balance of functional and simple, and found it. The house had everything we needed--kitchen, grill, games, interesting books and magazines, canoe. We were hopeful that the lake would be good for swimming in addition to canoeing, kayaking and fishing. We had a blast swimming and floating all over the area outside the dock. This may or may not have contributed to our slim intake of fish, but the fishing was not a focus for us. Playing and paddling were our mission. Renters interested in kayaking or canoeing will enjoy cruising the lake, or heading straight across the bay to explore the river. The simplicity of the stay was exactly what we hoped for, and it was easy to enjoy everything about the days at Otterdaway. I'd suggest renters come with most of what they think they'll need and not plan to make many "quick trips in" for supplies. The drive takes longer than you might expect, and can be a bit treacherous depending on the potholes. Arriving with most of our week's supplies allowed us to maximize our appreciation of the seclusion. We made two day-trips out and stayed on site the rest of the week, enjoying ourselves all the while. With the trip now behind us I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxed, simple, unplugged time away. The lake provided great entertainment, and the house itself pitched in on that as well. Our sons enjoyed playing up in the loft at the end of long and busy days. Without question the house will remain as much a part of the vacation story as the lake. It fit the picture of an idyllic family vacation: up north, in the woods, at a lake. The homeowners were wonderful to work with and have been pleasant and professional in preparation and follow up as well.
