About the area

Approxemately 15 min walk from the house, you will find Valdottavo, a little town that has a local Butcher, and other shops offering local products from Tuscany and Garfagnana. From the Villa you need 45 min by car to reach Via reggio, Forte dei Marni or other small towns along the Italian Riviere, or 15 min by car to Lucca, the old Mediaval City with a huge wall all round it, or 1 hour by car to Florenze. Villa Adriano is part of a small community called San Donato, which has an old Romano Church and where the locals grow and harvest mostly olives. The property is excellent for people who enjoy an early morning jog or walk or bicyckling, as the hillsides surrounding the Villa is perfect for that. The are some works from the forest ( cutting trees), and from a stone quarry that can create some noise.
