Description of the Venice vacation home rental
Our spacious Villa Grande home is a single story villa. It is fully updated with tile floors throughout and features a split design separating the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Many amenities are provided to make your vacation relaxing, including beach chairs, pool noodles, beach umbrella, beach towels, beach toys, shark's tooth strainer and two beach cruiser bicycles with front baskets.

The kitchen features a breakfast bar and is fully stocked with pots, pans, gadgets and updated appliances - including dishwasher. We also stock spices, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar and other basics that you don't have to buy at the store. We provide paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, dishwasher soap and some sample sizes of toothpaste, mouthwash etc so the only thing you need to shop for is perishable food that you'd like to cook at home.

We can process your credit card payment (3.5% fee) or an electronic check payment which has no fees.

Area Information
Venice is a safe and relaxed bedroom community right on the Gulf of Mexico. This is the place to visit if you want to do some bird watching, bicycle some trails and enjoy the free beaches in peace.

Only 20 minutes south of Venice you will find the European favorite - Warm Mineral Springs - many health cures happen from regular visits to the springs.

Villa Grande is located on a quiet neighborhood street and has a spacious fenced back yard for pets and kids. It is centrally located and easy to get to the many local attractions, shopping or restaurants and beaches.

A unique feature of South Venice is the South Venice Beach Ferry. You need a pass to use it and we provide that pass to you during your stay. You take a 4 minute ride on the ferry to your own private beach. Kids love it!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How close is the beach?
A: The closest beach is the private South Venice Beach which is accessible by the very popular passenger ferry. The ferry station is located at the intersection of Lemon Bay Blvd and South Venice Blvd. The ferry takes you on a 4 minute ride to the beach. It is private because you need a pass to use the ferry - we provide that pass for you to use. They do not sell a daily ferry pass - only monthly or yearly. Next closest beaches are within 10 minutes and include the dog beach (Brohard Paw Park), Caspersen Beach, Venice Fishing Pier beach, Venice Beach (end of Venice Avenue), Manasota Key Beach etc... Then in only 20 minutes you can be at Siesta Key Beach which has been in the top ten beaches in the world for several years.
Q: How close are you to down town Venice?
A: Down town Venice is also known as Venice Island and it is a manmade island with an Intracoastal waterway all the way around it. On Venice Avenue you will find many boutique shops and outdoor cafes with live music. During high season on most weekends you will find some kind of event such as the Chalk Festival or the Craft Fair. This down town area is about a 10 minute drive from the house.
Q: How far away is Disney World?
A: Orlando and Disney World are about a 2 hour drive from Venice - straight shot across to the East without a lot of traffic and headaches to get there too.
