A short stroll to the trendy shops and restaurants of Venice's Abbot Kinney Blvd. and Santa Monica Pier. Easy public transportation to the Getty Center, UCLA and beyond.

Venice is a fun, lively and colorful part of Los Angeles... but we offer a peaceful refuge in a quiet residential neighborhood, only steps from Venice Beach, perfect for R&R.; (Please note: parties not allowed. Cityof Los Angeles noise ordinance is in effect after 9pm.)

THE ZEN Garden has 2 bedrooms and 1 baths, a large VERY PRIVATE sun deck with BBQ, Master Bedroom with overlooking our lush patio garden. Large gourmet kitchen with new appliances, 32" Sony HD TV, high speed wireless internet, washer/dryer in unit, large balcony with gas grill. Comfortable and stylish. Secured 2-car parking (2 sedans). Total living space is over 1,400 square feet.

We are across from Marriott Hotel, lots of trendy places for drinks, dinner, coffee, dance. walk to the Pire for Sunset after a nice dinner. Everything is walk in distance. Grab your surf and hit the beach. Venice Beach is on the 20-mile bike path that runs on the beach--Bicycles for rent at very reasonable daily and weekly rates.

We're avid art collectors, and decorated both units from our personal collection. (Many pieces are for sale, so if you fall in love with one, you may purchase it as a souvenir of your trip!)

Across from Marriott Hotel, walk to the ocean on sand in a few minutes. Local trendy places are all around the unit, have your coffee at the Cow End coffee place and hang with local surfer, talk to locals, Sing along to Frank Sinatra, Dean martin at the C&O restaurant, the Sunny Place with famous chef is just a few minutes of walking away. You wont find a better place.

Q: What makes Venice special?
A: Venice has always been known as a hangout for the creative and the artistic. In the 1950s and 60s, Venice became a center for the Beat generation. There was an explosion of poetry and art. Major participants included Stuart Perkoff, John Thomas, Frank T. Rios, Tony Scibella, Lawrence Lipton, John Haag, Saul White, Robert Farrington and Philomene Long.
Venice Beach is understood to include the beach, the promenade that runs parallel to the beach ("Ocean Front Walk" or just "the boardwalk"), Muscle Beach, the handball courts, the paddle tennis courts, Skate Dancing plaza, the numerous beach volleyball courts, the bike trail and the businesses and residences that have their addresses on Ocean Front Walk. The Venice Breakwater is an acclaimed local surf spot in Venice, located north of the Venice Pier and Lifeguard Headquarters, and south of the Santa Monica Pier. This spot is sheltered on the north by an artificial barrier, the breakwater, consisting of an extending sand bar, piping, and large rocks at its end. This spot has differing breaks depending on swell intensity, swell direction, tide and time of the day.
