Reviews for this vacation home rental in Venice, Florida
Great house in a construction zone.

You couldn't ask for a nicer new house with granite countertops and stainless steel everything plus a king sized master bed and all the bells and whistles you could want but all around us were trucks going beep, beep, beep all day long. There was no place to go for a nice walk, the clubhouse was 1 1/2 miles away and all there was there was a great gym but the pool was just a hole in the ground. In 10 years, the trees will be grown up and it will be a really high end area but it's fields of earth and half built houses and immature landscaping now. Also the closest restaurant was 5 miles away, then nothing for several miles and then in another 5 miles, it was built up again. We found we drove a lot every day to get anywhere as it was 10 miles to most stores and restaurants. Another thing we thought was excessive was we had to pay $200 cleaning fee. This did not include any laundry so we washed all the sheets, made the beds and washed the towels and tablecloth and mats before we left. I don't know of any cleaning people who charge $200. to do so little. In other places, we've paid a $50. cleaning fee. The owner left a lot of his stuff in the house - like drawers full of clothes and food in the fridge and cupboards. We wouldn't go back again but the house itself was impressive with nice décor.
