Description from owner

3 bedrooms, 2 newly remodeled bathrooms, sleeps up to 8

Come throw your cares to the wind on this barrier island paradise. The beach house is nestled just 2-1/2 houses from the Moorings privately-deeded beach and turtle preserve. It's as if your boat set adrift and marooned on a Bahamian-style isle! Decked out in comfortable, shabby chic, the home overlooks its own tropically-landscaped, screened, and heat-optional pool, waterfall and patio. Your island getaway design is a split floor plan with a delightful sun room and several dining areas, including breakfast nook, formal dining, as well as outdoor sets with market umbrellas. The house seemingly invites you to spend endless relaxing moments watching sunsets or simply sharing Pina Coladas, engaging conversation, and laughter with friends and family. Your private pool is semi-secluded, includes floats, toys, barbecue grill, lounge chairs inviting your entertainment and fun. Simply put, the entire house was renovated to captivate your natural instincts in the Treasure Coast's unique beauty, comfort, and ambiance. I must warn you though, you may have a problem. It's not unusual to hear that folks are reluctant to leave. Paradise does have it's pleasures!

This treasure is conveniently located an hour and a half from either Orlando International and one hour and fifteen minutes from the Palm Beach International Airports. It's 60 minutes from the Melbourne Airport and 25 minutes from the Vero Beach Airport.

Beds: 1 King Bed, 1 Queen Bed, 1 Double Bed, 1 Sofa Bed

About the area

Vero Beach has been adorned with multiple distinctions for it's unique qualities of life. For 20 years this area has been recognized as of being one of the Tree Cities by the National Audobon Society.. Further, it has one of the best beaches in the state. It's known for it's eco-friendliness. Sebastian's Pelican Island was the very first national wildlife preserve. Its residents are among the nicest you would ever want to meet. It's not unheard of to see wildlife on the front lawn from sea birds to bunny rabbits or manatees and dolphins playing in the waterways. There's so much to do here or you can just bask in the sunshine just to make your friends jealous. You can venture out on kayacks, take pontoon boat excursions, airboat rides, swim and frolic in the sea, hike, fish, surf, paddle board, scuba or snorkle, or even search for hidden treasure, go bird manatee or dolphin watching, shop till your hearts content, go antiquing, play board or yard or beach games, visit some of the many museums and art galleries in the area. I could go on and on. It seems the best way to discover what's here is to experience it yourself. The pristine, glistening beach with it's medium wave action makes it strong enough to be fun, yet mild enough that you'll want to jump right in. You'll love it's private feel where you can cast your cares to the sea. Jump in! It's exciting!

“Great place!”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2016

Had a wonderful vacation! House was great! Everything we needed and more! Owner was extremely nice and helpful. Hope to visit again.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your gracious compliment. Incidentally, to return your compliment, your family is first rate as well. It's amazing how the beach house tends to always attract such kick-in-the-pants fun, nice people. Come back any time so you can create more memories and smiles.

“Outstanding”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2016

The house, location, the owner, all a perfect 10. A few small issues regarding pool heater and microwave occurred, the owner corrected them as soon as humanly possibly ( for the record, neither the heater or the microwave were due to age or misuse. "stuff just happens".) The house is comfortable, extremely well stocked with all the necessities, if not more. Than most people would have in their own home. The beach is beyond description, the house perfect and Colleen, the owner, a delight. The pool perfect.

Owner's reply: Awhh. Thanks, Bill. I'm so glad you and Marsha enjoyed the many features of the house and it's setting, despite the (a bit more than) hiccups. Thank you for being amazingly understanding during the mishaps and repair. Thank goodness I've got a great team in place who I can rely on for the unforeseen, unexpected events. I do have incredibly high standards, but you guys are worth it! Hope to see you again, real soon!

“a treasure vacation”

we stayed in this lovely home in August my husband myself and our dog it was a wonderful house beautiful neighborhood and just a walk from the beach your hospitality was greatly appreciated and we would rent from you again love the location and hope to see you in the future Pete and Kathy and of course Sasha

Owner's reply: This house likes nice people and something tells me it's smiling. Without the beach house, I couldn't have the opportunity to meet such terrific people as you both are. I love seeing the wonder in my visitors eyes when they arrive and smiles, tans, and their bags full of memories when they leave. Just let me know whenever the urge hits you again. Till next time, keep smiling!

“Truly a Treasure”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2015

This gorgeous home in Vero Beach was beautifully decorated and comfortable! Our family spent many hours in the fabulous enclosed and heated salt water pool and the beach was a short walk away through a nice safe neighborhood. Location was perfect for day trips to town for lunch or dinner but it wasn't necessary if you wanted to cook in - the kitchen was well appointed with everything you needed. The owner took great pride in the home and was there to give us a tour to be sure we knew where to find things we might need, including beach umbrellas, chairs and a beach bag. It was truly an impressive home and very clean. I would highly recommend it and hope we can visit there again soon.

Owner's reply: It was my pleasure hosting your stay and finally getting to meet you and your family, in person. Thank you for the nice compliments. One of my biggest kicks is seeing guests giggling, collecting seashells, and creating memories. I'm so glad you had fun and dohope to get to see you again. Just so you know should you come back, it'll always be comfortable, familiar, and since I update things, that keeps it fresh and exciting. (As a small correction, the pool does not have saltwater.)

“A home more than a rental”

Reviewed 27 Apr 2015

Owner has taken great care to give the feel of a home and you will want for nothing (although us Brits missed a kettle!) Quiet residential area just 2 mins to beach. Dozens of nice restaurants within 15 minutes drive and nearest supermarket also 15 minutes so you need car. Pool was nice although you do hear traffic from nearby main road sometimes. Make sure you go and see the manatees and dolphins in natural habitats up the road.

Owner's reply: I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet you and your lovely family. There's so much to love about this home but one of the main things is it attracts nice people like you! Though I rarely notice any road sounds, I'll look into putting a few more shrubs along the fence to add more of a buffer. Thanks for your input. Next time you come a kettle will be waiting.

“Great Neighborhood!”

Reviewed 23 Jan 2015

This was our first time renting from the owner. Colleen was a great hostess. Her neighborhood is amazing. Just a quick walk to the beach which was perfect. She has everything you could possibly think of for the beach...towels, games, a wagon, umbrellas, coolers...everything. The neighbors were very friendly. We brought our small dog and she got to know so very many others while there. Beach was dog friendly. House was beautiful. Literally like stepping into someone's private home. Colleen has every amenity you could think of. The house is beautifully decorate. The enclosed pool was very relaxing. We had a great time. Unfortunately, a family emergency caused us to have to cut our vacation short but we could not have asked for more from Colleen. What delightful experience!

Owner's reply: My goal has been to create smiles, giggles, and memories. I'm so glad you enjoyed the beach house as much as I'd hoped you would. Thank you for your compliments. Believe me when I say I love having the opportunity to create those special moments that all strung together become your escape in paradise. For me it's fun too!

“Our Stay in Paradise”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2014

When we got the contract for the rental, it was titled Passport to Paradise. Honestly, although the house looked really nice in the photos, we have rented other homes for vacation mant times in the past, and usually find that the pictures are a bit too good to be true. NOT SO HERE! Everything was in great shape, nicely decorated, and Colleen was really a great hostess; another difference from most of the other places we've rented where you never hear from the owner, even if there is an issue. We definitely would recommend this rental to others. (Please help keep it nice; we would like to go back!)

Owner's reply: Nancy, How nice of you to write this heartfelt review. My husband and I were fond of saying, our guest are so special, if they lived here, we'd want to be friends. You're welcome to come back. Colleen
