“Waimanalo vacation rental”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2016

We loved this vacation rental. It is very close to the beach. My family loved being able to walk down to the beach whenever they wanted. The home was spacious with separate areas of you have multiple couples/families. Kitchen was nice and there was a grill so we were able to save money by eating in for a few meals.

“Highly recommend”

We stayed in the Lilikoi Hale & Bougainvillea Bungalow. This property was really beautiful. Both houses had everything that we needed with a lovely breezeway between both places. This is really a stunning property, within a minutes walk to the beach. The kitchen in the Lilikoi house was stocked with all the cookware we would need. Ana was friendly and available for questions when needed. This was a very easy vacation spot.

Owner's reply: We enjoyed hosting Colleen and her ohana and were happy they were able to spend time together in Waimanalo.

“Sandy Goodtime”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2015

Before I read this in my e-mail, I sent a message to our rental company. Our family of 8 stayed in a house in Waimanalo, HA. The house was better than we could have anticipated! It provided everyone with personal space, and still had plenty of living area. We walked out the front door to a beautiful yard and the beach. In the back we enjoyed a private yard with beautiful landscaping, a hot tub, a patio & a nice view of the mountains. Only 3 rooms were air-conditioned, but the wind kept us very comfortable. We were in a very friendly neighborhood, and felt very safe. We accidentally set the alarm off one night, and were checked on right away. Enough consumable neccessities were left so that we didn't have to make a trip to the grocery right away. We planned to eat most of our meals away, but ended up grilling on the patio, and cooking in the large, spacious kitchen, that was equipped with dishes and cookware. We were away from the busy city, but were within an hour or two drive to everything on the island. We stayed one week. In that time, we visited a lot of places, and still had time to enjoy the house. We would have been happy to spend every minute of our vacation at the house. Since this was our first trip to Hawaii, we had a lot to see and do. Just driving around was fascinating. The island is beautiful! When our grandson asked, we told him we'd be home soon. He didn't want to go home, but back to our beach house! To eliminate his confusion, he thought of naming the house "Sandy Goodtime"! No matter where we went each day, we were always happy to return to "Sandy Goodtime!" There are four televisions throughout this house, and we never turned any of them on. That is the sign of a great vacation! Mahalo!

“Breathtaking Experience”

Reviewed 6 May 2015

This home exceeded our expectations. The pictures and description didn't do it justice. It had the "WOW" factor. We had four in our party. My best friend of 30+ years and our husbands. The property is literally steps from the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. The home is huge and we all wished our children and their families could have joined us because there was a huge portion of the home we didn't use. We knew how big it was but we all wanted a beautiful place on the beach and boy did we get that and then some. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need so far as dinnerware, pots, pans, etc. a few pantry items as well. There were beach towels in a basket that was nice since it saved us from doing wash every day. The only problem I found was there were tiny ants that frequented the bathroom upstairs and the kitchen area near the window. To be honest, it didn't bother any of us since The home is literally so close to the water we expected to have some of Gods creatures visiting. If we had found them a nuisance we would have picked up some spray. When I say they were tiny, I mean they were TINY. The grounds are gorgeous and very well kept. Beautiful pond and flowers. The backyard itself felt like an Oasis. The bedroom upstairs with the lanai is beautiful. It has a huge window that shines the beautiful sunlight throughout the day. There aren't many houses along this beach so we felt very special and very lucky this home was available. One of the best things I loved was going to sleep and listening to the waves crashing and waking up and hearing the same thing. We kept the widows open to let the wonderful night breeze flow through. If you have children, they will have fun watching the little crabs dig dirt from there holes n the beach and scurry back into them. They are quick critters indeed. There was only one downfall and it had nothing to do with the property. We had wished there were more restaurant choices closer to the home. There was a few fast food places otherwise you had to drive about 30 min to get some place decent. However, it didn't bother any of us that would make us not want to stay there again. We are hoping we have the opportunity to rent this ocean front beach property again in the near future. It was truly a vacation in paradise. Mahalo, for sharing your beautiful home with folks like us who truly appreciate the beauty of the home and it's surroundings.

“Paradise”

If you wish to experience paradise, then this is the place to stay. The views and accommodations are fantastic. To wake up every day to fantastic sunrises and a beautiful view was outstanding. The house is wonderful and the owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Thank you for sharing Paradise with us.

Owner's reply: We are always so happy to hear our guests enjoyed their stay with us.

“A great place to stay...”

The house was perfect with all the amenities anyone could want. They provided water sports equipment, coolers etc. Location could not be matched, a block from the beach and a short car ride to town. This was a very central location to Honolulu and the North Shore. The people were so warm and friendly, offering help with sights and directions.

“Incredible!!”

The 2 BR Hula Hale was so pretty. A home away from home. The beach was gorgeous but windy at times, churning up lots of sand. Brought a bit of sand back in our swim suits even after rinsing. All in all would return.

Owner's reply: Aloha, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay in the Hula Hale.

“Wimanalo Beach house”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2012

We loved the house.. Chris, the owner, was amazing and very accomodating. We brought along our one year old grandson and he had everything for a baby. The kids loved the zip line the best. The beds were very comfortable. The beach was so close, quite and the best one we found. We would love to rent again on our next trip.

“paradise found”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2012

My husband and I live in rural Wyoming near Yellowstone park. We are inundated with tourists for five months each year. We were looking for a place in Oahu that was on or near the beach. The sunrise beach house was perfect. We didn't hear road traffic. The beach was fabulous with very few people. The house was perfect for us and our four friends. There was easy access to Costco and Safeway for groceries. The only problem we had was when we didn't lock our rental vehicle upon return from an outing. A kindle was stolen and we found the empty cover in the bushes next door. This could happen to anyone and we knew better than to not lock the door. We heartily recommend this house for any future vacation. If we return, we hope we will, we will try to rent this house again.

Owner's reply: We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay in the Sunrise Beach House. Waimanalo is a great place to get away from the tourists and enjoy Hawaii.

Clean as a whistle and sitting on one of the pretties beaches on Oahu, Surf Sweet was the perfect medicine for my husband and me. Would be happy to return to stay in this peaceful paradise.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

"Thank you for the most fabulous place to stay. The house was much more than we anticipated. It had everything we needed or wanted and more. The beach across the street was perfect. If I hear of anyone heading towards the island I will tell them to look up your properties. Thank you again!"
-Alan R. Hughes after staying at the Tradewinds Inn

"It seems hardly possible that our "long, looked forward to" Hawaiian vacation has come to a close. It passed muched too quickly. Our daughter has been attending BYU Hawaiian campus this past semester. She had quite an itinerary planned out for us when we all arrived! I have felt like we have been living in our own little paradise. The view from every room of this house is spectacular! You have surrounded the property with trees and plants that give privacy and yet allow for a view of the mountains. Whether we were moving in or around the house we felt comfortable and relaxed. Feeling and hearing the breeze in the trees is one of my favorite details.

We surfed, boogie boarded, snorkeled and body surfed our way around this beautiful island. With the exception of the snorkeling we did at Shark's Cove, the beach right here at our back door was the best. It satisfied all of the adults and was the most manageable/safe with our two little boys.

We appreciate the use of the beach towels, chairs, hammock, masks and flippers and the visits from the girls. Our grandsons (and all of us actually) enjoyed the lizards.

The pancake and waffle mix was enjoyed by all of us on Father's Day for breakfast before we set our for church. Thank you!!.....

"You guys (and those two pretty litte girls) just ROCK! What a great place for grillin' & chillin'! We felt like we had a home away from home. The beach and the waves were kickin'! If you guys make it up our way, be sure to look us up. We enjoyed visiting with you all! We'll be back."

What a nice home away from home, and a great boogie boarding beach! Beach House Hawaii is a cool place to chill out and relax. Only went to Waikiki once for a couple of hours this time because we wanted to get back to boogie baord! Thanks for the use of the snorkel gear and boogie boards that came in handy. Thanks also for the hiking tips - the hile to Maunawilli Falls was an adventure! Mahalo,

A great vacation! Our favorite things included Polynesian Cultural Center (pay a little more and do the luau - it was worth every penny!); Hanauma Bay; Sea Life Park; boogie boarding; and a dinner cruise. This is the best beach we came across, so it was fun to be here!

Thank you Ana & Kini for having such a lovely beach house to come home to after long days of site seeing! Being here was like being in our own home! Everything here was perfect for us all. The Coffee was great every morning. Our kids enjoyed using all the wonderful beach things. Thank you again and thanks for the wonderful time and memories at your Beach House!
