Best Getaway home ever!
July 29, 2014
Loved this home and property so much we want to book it again right away next year! Everyone loved it in our girls week group they gushed over everything! From the beautiful open high beamed living room ceilings to the gorgeous outside yard. So close to the lake on the custom cut stone stairways and a nice sturdy long pier to enjoy the lake. Everything we needed in the kitchen they had even a large plug in cooler for your cocktails was an added bonus! The beds were so comfy I had the best sleep there in a long time compared to at home so did so many others in our group. The best place we've ever stayed for sure!

This was the perfect location and accommodations for our group of 10. Nice size table for eating and kitchen area for food prep. Roomy living area for a large group. Great access to bike trail and close to town. Lake is clear but, a bit weedy for swimming. But, some did swim.

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We thought it was very roomy for 12 people and they had plenty of tv's and chairs and bedding and kitchen "stuff". The lake wasn't the cleanest for swimming, but we went down the road a bit (walking distance) and found a nicer beach that the kids really loved. They had good fishing and we enjoyed the fire pit and the 2 grills. Overall, this was a great family place. They even had 2 gates to keep the littlest one from climbing up and down the stairs. Thank you, Greg & Andy!

Something for everyone!!

First of all - it was fun working with Andy Seitzer to complete arrangements The age ranges were 97yo to 46yo and This Home had nooks, crannies and out door settings for everyone We all love to be near water and the proximity to May Lake was perfect - AND we heard and saw Loons! Many meals at home and the view indoors and outdoors during meals was grand PLUS we were there during Full Moon over lake Lots of yard for 3 dogs to play and esy access in & out of home We would love to return Sincerely The Lindsay Family & Friends
SUPER Cabin Home on Scenic May Lake
September 7, 2011
We had such a wonderful time here. There was plenty of room for our group of four families with young children. The kitchen and dining area were good for large group meals. The deck and patio and firepit were well used. We played some in the water and on the beach (a bit weedy right next to the lake). I loved the location (a quick drive to the Leech lake boat landing, the Heartland trail literally right at the end of the driveway, or a quick walk into town). For the most part the home was child friendly and there were so many beds! We didn't even get to use all the cabin had to offer. The owners were extremely wonderful and helpful to work with. There were a few minor things that needed some repair such as some windows handles, a light switch, and a shower latch...but nothing major or nothing that affected the quality of our stay. I would stay here again for sure (hopefully for longer).

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend! It was so much better than we thought it would be. The lake was crystal clear, the home was spacious and homey and located just around the corner from downtown. Right out the backyard was the heartland trail so we could walk the puppies in the morning. Very enjoyable stay, the only regret was we didn't have enough time there.
A Great Getaway
July 15, 2011
Our family (7 people) spent a week at the "Walker Getaway" over the 4th of July, 2011 and were very happy with the accommodations. The lake home is roomy and clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the deck and patio overlooking the lake are great places to relax. The home's multiple levels allow everyone to have some personal space, while the open floor plan allows for a group to gather comfortably. The yard is spacious and private. May Lake is fairly quiet, so you can enjoy the water without having to deal with a lot of boat traffic. We liked being located on the outskirts of town, which made it easy to walk or bike for groceries, a cup of coffee or go shopping. We also liked having the Heartland Trail right across the street. Andy (the landlord) was great to deal with; always responded promptly to questions and wanted to ensure we had a great vacation, which we did. Overall it was a good experience and we would rent this home again.
