Chad T....A charming home in a fantastic location.
My family (which includes two toddlers) loved staying in this Georgetown home which had everything we needed and is in a great location. The owner has the home set up so well for guests--everything we needed was there, laid out for us before we arrived. she even left us a box I chocolates. It was great for kids--there is a fantasti toddler playground just around the corner--and just as good for adults as the patio is a great place to unwind at night (if you tire of all Georgetown has to offer.). The home has an interesting history too, which is laid out on the owner's extremely easy to use and informative web page. This one gets give stars on every count. We hope to visit again one day.

Cinda E.North Carolina...Great experience in DC
You couldn't ask for a better location in DC/Georgetown or for more character in a property. Amy was great to work with and ensured with had all we needed.

Tammy H. ...Funnest trip ever-
We had our family of 8 stay there for a wedding at Georgetown U. Secret Service parked outside entrance 24/7 for neighbor----safe as could be. Nice owner----so kind and helpful. Its a little dated----but most of Georgetown is. Great courtyard. Modern appliances and would come there again in a minute. Its probably the best location in DC. Don't need a car---can walk to all major stuff. Park just down the street. Trader Joes 4 blocks away. Rock Creek park running trail just off the 4 seasons 3 blocks away. I want to buy a house in the neighborhood.

Lovely, spacious home in a perfect location!
The home is quite large, particularly among the townhouses in Georgetown. Its actually L shaped, with its own private courtyard. There is even an attached garage - although you have to see if its available.

Amy loads lots of little extras in the house - a platter of cookies, a box of truffles, and other candies around the house, together with a nice array of staples, coffees, teas, and household supplies. She lives nearby, and is always very available by email or text.

And the location is just perfect. The street is lovely. its in the eastern edge of Georgetown, so its a 12 minute walk to the Georgetown shopping area, and 15-20 minutes to DuPont or George Washington U. There is a very nice wine shop, and an upscale butcher literally around the block. The 7-11 is also a block away, and is always open - even Christmas Day!
We've been twice in 3 years (and would have been 3 for 3, but one year it was taken!) We'd stay again next time we're in DC.

Maui T.... Great family getaway
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Historic home. I stayed with my family and siblings who are visiting from overseas. With 5 adults and 2 children, we had a lot of room to roam.

Location is great! The area is very safe. It is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Trader Joe's (our go-to grocery)-- and an easy drive to downtown Washington DC for sightseeing.

Home is clean, tastefully decorated and very well laid-out: Kitchen and dining on the first level; large masters suite and living room on the second level; and 2 large bedrooms and full bath on the third level. Kitchen and pantry are well-equipped. Toiletries and towels are aplenty. Cable TV with large selection of movie channels and fast wi-fi are hits to my husband and kids!

Most of all, Amy is a joy to work with. She's very responsive, left our parking pass in the dining room for our arrival and made our stay as easy as possible.

We frequently visit Washington DC as we have family in the area. I am so happy to have found this home... This is our new home-away-from-home from now on!

Greg A.... Great weekend in DC with Family
Great location if you want easy access to the bike trails in Georgetown leading to the MALL and other DC sites. Also easy walking distance to the shops in GT and great restaurants. Great for families as you have two distinct floors to break up groups. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to do breakfast every morning with our kids. The courtyard is a nice treat and great for the time we were there to hang out. We would definitely book again and bring our bikes. We also brought our tennis rackets as there are courts right across the street. The owner was very friendly and even provided a parking pass for our car for the whole stay.

Janet R. ...Excellent Georgetown location and beautiful home.
Property was clean and well maintained. Kitchen and baths had been updated and were nice, a little on the small size but that is standard for the area. Rooms did appear slightly smaller than the photographs, but were perfectly adequate, again standard for the older homes in the Georgetown area.
Owner was very helpful in obtaining overnight parking passes for on street parking which can be difficult in Georgetown.

Exceptional home and perfect location making for the most comfortable trip to D.C.

This Georgetown townhouse was a perfect way to visit the Washington D. C. and Georgetown area. The home is located on a beautiful residential street across the street from a very nice park. You are away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets but you are still a quick walk to all that Georgetown has to offer and it is exceptionally easy to get to all of the major Washington D. C. attractions through the metro, buses, uber or the bicycles that can be rented. Of the several times that I have visited the area this home has by far been my favorite place to stay.

The home has been beautifully updated with a modern kitchen that has everything that you could need. The dining room allows for you to enjoy meals at the house when you are tired of dining out or if you are looking to save a little on your travel expenses. The courtyard/patio has a great table for al fresco dining as well or to sit in the evening after a day of sightseeing and enjoy a glass of wine from the great wine shop that is only a block away.

The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable providing a great night's sleep. There are ample closets as well as dressers for unpacking and the bedrooms are spacious without feeling cramped. You can also relax in the living room with ample seating to enjoy conversation or the cable TV if that is your thing.

We utilized this home for a friend's weekend away but I can see where it would be perfect for a family that is looking for a great way to find a comfortable location that is both safe and beautiful as well as having the room for everyone. Enjoy the beauty of Georgetown and all the wonderful dining, history and things to do in the area. I will be checking to see if this home is available the next time I visit D.C. It was great.

vivian f..Mill Valley ... A must stay in DC!!
We just returned from staying here for our daughter's graduation from Georgetown. It was perfect. There was plenty of room for our family to sleep and gather, much better than staying in hotel rooms. The location is perfect- we walked to M Street for shopping and dinner, we walked to the monuments for sightseeing and found it convenient with the deli and convenience store around the corner. We loved the feel of the neighborhood, the park across the street made it seem like we were at home.
Amy is very responsive and accommodating. Wish I had found it earlier for all the visits we made while I daughter was attending college. Guess we will just have to come back for a holiday.

Josephine M....Perfect Family Accommodation in Georgetown, highly reccommend,
We loved our stay in Amy's beautiful Georgetown apartment. Fabulous location, easy to access Rock Creek Parkway to go to the monuments, M Street and Wisconsin Ave for shopping and dining. A perfect place for our family of 5, everyone had their own bed and plenty of space. My three daughters took advantage of the tennis courts across the street and played with the raquets provided. kitchen and laundry facilities and all the basic amenities provided. It was very hot during our stay in July and the air conditioning in the apartment was fantastic. We love DC and in particular Georgetown, Thank you Amy

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and so convenient!
The house was perfect for us from the minute we walked in. It had everything we needed for a remarkably comfortable stay. The location can't be beat - right in the heart of Georgetown, surrounded by gorgeous homes and brick sidewalks and a very short walk to all of the restaurants and shops on Wisconsin Ave. and M St. The rooms are all good sized but our favorite spot was the beautiful patio where we spent the majority of our time. It is a completely private outdoor space with comfortable chairs and dining table, surrounded by plants and flowers. It was the perfect spot for both morning coffee and evening wine.
Amy was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely go back here on our next trip to DC!

Melissa N....Fabulous home in Georgetown
Our family of six stayed in this Georgetown home while exploring Washington DC. The home was updated, well stocked for meals and clean. It was an ideal location that felt safe at anytime of day/night. We enjoyed the park across the street each evening with our children playing tennis or on the playground. The courtyard was a bonus and we were able to eat several meals outside. Amy was a delight to interact with during the rental process and throughout our visit. She is quick to respond to questions and is very organized. This is a gem in Georgetown!

Linda and Duncan J. ...We want to go back!
We three adults became temporary residents of Georgetown in Amy's lovely house for nine nights in early to mid October. We hope to return within the next couple of years. Amy was wonderfully helpful both before and during our stay.
Our first impressions were of how welcoming, clean and tidy and spacious the house is. The description on the listing is accurate and Amy has provided everything anyone could possibly need. We loved making this our home and enjoyed the meals we prepared and ate here and spending evenings in the huge lounge area planning our sightseeing (Amy provided lots of local information literature), and having breakfast and afternoon tea in the courtyard.

The house is located in a quiet leafy area by Rose Park tennis courts, and all that is Georgetown is a short and delightful walk away. We varied our route to public transport each day to admire the houses and their Halloween decorations. Bus transport to the city or to Foggy Bottom metro is about a fifteen minute stroll and the Smartrip cards served us well.
Within a few minutes walk of the house are convenience stores, an excellent liquor store and the incomparable Stachowski's deli.

We recommend the Free Tours on Foot of Old Alexandria with Rebecca, and of Georgetown itself with Dan. Both guides were friendly, enthusiastic and excellent and very knowledgeable communicators. Our best meal of the holiday was at Agora near Dupont Circle: we hope they will give us their recipe for Ottoman Rice. The most astonishing buildings we visited were the Buildings Museum and the Library of Congress: they took our breath away.

Robert S. ... Great location and very clean, nice house
Amy was responsive from the very first correspondence. She made great recommendations for things to do and how to get around. The house is walking distance to M Street and the Potomac River which is great for shopping and restaurants. The interior of the house was clean, Pete's coffee was in the kitchen ready to be made and the furniture was comfortable.
Stayed: October 2016

Jorge Martin P., Buenos Aires ... Impeccable! Great location!
Amy was in contact well in advance of our arrival to help with any questions we may have. She is clearly a great host and she does not need to be there for you to realise it, plus, the condition of the house speaks for itself, we did not need her at all as all was perfect.

When it comes to the house it is perfectly located. Georgetown is the place you want to be in DC. A beautiful and quiet residential area very nice to walk, but also close to shops and restaurants with M Ave and the waterfront a few blocks away. Georgetown is also very close to the main attractions in DC (not walking distance tough).

The house was very clean, the area very quiet, the appliances as good as you can get them and two social areas, inside and outside. When trying to find a weakness, the bedroom at the top floor has a window that you cannot stop the morning light entering so if you need darkness to sleep that is not a room for you. It did not bother us at all and for that reason we still rated the experience as excellent.
