Alaska's Snowed Inn is the perfect place to stop on your way to or from Denali National Park (Mt. McKinley). Just 40 minutes from Anchorage and a little over a mile off the Parks Hwy. (Hwy.3). We offer two large suites with private baths, a private entrance and your own balcony. Enjoy the quiet country setting on two plus acres. Delight yourself to a full breakfast served in the dining room. Complimentary soda, bottled water and juice is in the refrigerator in the dining room. Relax on our Victorian porch, go skydiving, glacier treking, salmon fishing, hiking or biking a short distance from the Inn. There are excellent restaurants close by. Snowed Inn is located between historical Palmer and Wasilla, home of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race Headquarters. The Matanuska Valley is a pristine area with a wealth of activities. You can visit the Musk Ox farm, the Reindeer Farm or Independance Mine. See beaver working on their lodge as you take an easy hike up Gold Mint trail. You can experience Denali on a flight seeing tour from Talkeetna. Go ice climbing on the Matanuska Glacier. Experience the exilleration of skydiving. Take a jet boat up the Knik Glacier or go salmon fishing on the Little Susitna River. All of this a short drive from the Inn
