My husband and I spent a few days of our honeymoon in the creek side cabins. We were so impressed with all of the little thoughtful items we found throughout the cabin; from the shampoo and conditioner to the lotion and makeup remover. And of course the breakfast supplies. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We also really liked that checkin and checkout were able to be completed without having to talk with anyone. This was our first time visiting Alaska and then next time we come back we will definitely be giving our business to AAU. If was a perfect little place that had everything we needed not too far from town but secluded enough for our liking. Another thing we couldn't believe was the price for what we got. It was an all around fantastic experience and we look forward to our next visit!

I will be staying here this year. I purchased the room through a groupon. The thing they didn't mention is that their room could have been purchased on their web site now for $30 less than I purchased it for. This means that when I went to their web site to check out the details the rooms had to have been listed at double the price. Groupon always gives a good deal. They're scammers and I will not give future business to scammers. In addition they added a mandatory gratutity, which was not mentioned on their web site or on groupon's website. I would have given a gratuity I don't like being categorized as cheap so that they require one, if it's required it should be included in the price.

Excellent Rental

October 28, 2010

We recently stayed at the chalets owned by Alaska Adventure Unlimited located just outside of Wasilla. The chalets were very cozy and worked great for our group of 12 adults and 2 infants. The decor was nice, but a bit overdone for my personal taste. Watch out for the light fixtures over the master bed, they are very large and low to the bed. The location was quite and perfect for solitude. The kitchen was stocked with some various breakfast items, but considering that they tout this as a luxury chalet, I would expect something better than Walmarts Great Value brand. The jetted tub upstairs was a good place to relax with a glass of wine. The beds were comfortable but a bit on the soft side. The bedrooms are small and a bit cramped and the owners could do well to match the size of the furniture to the size of the rooms. Overall, it was a good experience and a few minor changes could make this place superb.

They Anticipated Everything we Needed

February 18, 2010

Let me start by saying that these cabins are spacious, clean, beautiful, cozy and decorated to the hilt. As soon as we walked in the door this place exceeded my expectation. During our 2-night stay were were pleasantly surprised at how thoughtful the amenities were. They anticipated all the little things one often forgets on a trip and even stocked the kitchen with things like a corkscrew and pizza cutter in addition to plates, flatware, and knives. The bed was a delight with a deep pillow top, soft sheets, and plenty of pillows. We had two restful nights of sleep. The cabins sit back off of a quiet residential road and we didn't hear any noise other than the occasional gusts of wind that blew by. The off-season rates are unbelievably affordable and the staff were very responsive answering our questions before our stay. I can't say enough good things about our stay here and both my husband and I look forward to staying here the next time we are in the area. We have already recommended this place to family and friends.

Surprisingly elagant in a semi-remote area

October 11, 2009

I made reservations over the phone without much knowledge of what the property was like. It was a last minute decision because the normal place I say was booked. I was very impressed how nice the cabin was and the amenities were far beyond what I've had in the pass for about the same cost. The cabins are centrally located between Wasilla and Palmer in a very quiet area. The cabin is richly decorated in a tasteful and comfortable style. I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for plush comfort while visiting the Last Frontier.

Beautiful Chalet-Awesome!

October 1, 2008

Booking the reservation was very easy, check-in & check-out hassle free. Chalets are just beautiful, clean, superior quality construction. We enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub & fresh coffee in the morning, along with a nice variety of morning snacks. Both beds were very comfortable & luxury linens, along with nice soft white-robes for relaxing in. Very romantic with the gas fireplace & big flat screen t.v. All I can say is that this Chalet (Cabin) is by far the nicest of all the places we have stayed (which is probably about 25 places in the past 5 years) This is our 2nd visit here & will book again early next Spring. P.S. The best part was that it was peaceful & we slept so well both nites.
