Description of the Waterford vacation home rental
Our traditional Maine vacation home sits only 100 feet from the water's edge and offers a shallow sandy bottom and gradual depth entry! This 4 bedroom, 3 bath property is ideal for family vacations at the lake in all seasons. McWain Pond has no public access so it's clean, quiet and one of the best kept secrets in the Oxford Hills area.

The main home features a master bedroom with private small master bath with shower, a 2nd bathroom with shower/tub, fully equipped large kitchen/dining/ living area and enclosed heated porch. The second building houses additional bedrooms, a full bath, a cozy living and kitchenette area and a slider and small deck. The over-sized attached garage provides a great area for ping pong (included) and other games on inclement days. Your rental includes the use of 2 kayaks, gas grille and a deck where you'll watch gorgeous sunsets! You can fish from the dock or head out in your boat - seems like the fish are always biting! Play horseshoes in the yard or sit by the campfire in the evening.

Linens & towels are provided at an additional charge.

Available Year-round!

Great house to stay in, beautiful location. Would recommend this home to rent. My brothers and sister and I rented this with family. We had a wonderful ,relaxing week. The lake is beautiful and the kids loved swimming and Kayaking in it. Great home away from home..

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I bring my boat?
A: Yes. However, there is no public boat launch on McWain Pond. Special arrangements must be made with a property owner on the lake. A separate fee must be paid to that property owner for use of his boat launch.
Q: Are jet skis allowed?
A: No, unfortunately the lake association discourages their use and we want to maintain good relations with our neighbors.
Q: Are fireworks permitted?
A: They are now legal in the state of Maine. However, we do not permit their use on our property out of respect for our neighbors and for insurance reasons.
Q: Are life jackets provided.?
A: We suggest bringing your own. It is not possible for us to provide all the various sizes that may be required.
Q: I see you have a no pet policy. Are their any exceptions made for small, well-behaved pets?
A: Sorry, but our pet policy does not allow for exceptions. Any evidence of a pet staying on the premises will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
