“Perfect mountain retreat.”
Kim's Cottage exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and airy. The kitchen was easy to work in and the grill and wrap around deck were great. We spent lots of time out there in the mornings talking and reading. The laundry room and attached garage were a great convenience. Kim and Brian were the best hosts -They were there whenever you needed them, very helpful and most gracious. The cottage is located 20 minutes from Ashville, very convenient. It is also close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and not far from Hendersonville, Maggie Valley and anything you want to see in the area. Our kids went zip-lining, tubing, and pokey mon hunting in Ashville. We stayed one month and did not touch the many things to do in the area. Cannot say enough about the Cottage, the owners - Kim and Brian- or the area. Oh, and the weather sure beats Florida in the summer!
Owner's reply: Thank you Jeanette and Tom, we loved meeting your family and are so happy that you visited some of our local attractions. Looking forward to your visit next year. Brian & Kim
“Awesome cottage to stay at in the mountains”
My Mom and myself stayed at this wonderful cottage for two weeks at the end of June. Very clean house, even the smallest details (soap and shampoo) are provided, just like a hotel, but BETTER! There is a subdivision across the street from the cottage and if you can handle the inclines of the hilly road, this is a wonderful walk to take as it is like be on a nature trail on many parts of the road. Views are very nice as well. Having a one car garage was great to have as we had some pretty severe rain storms while we stayed for two weeks. You have a Ingles about 3 miles away going towards Hot Springs, and many many stores (Walmart, Ingles, Fast Food, etc) going away from Hot Springs. Very easy access to the cottage as it is on a road, but traffic is very light during the day and non existent at night. The rear deck serves up a view of the stars at night so clear that you can even see satellites flying over sometimes. I also saw falling stars every night. The couple who owns this cottage will bend over backwards to make your stay nice. I was even given a GPS unit to use in the rental car I had since my phone was not providing proper directions. Just AWESOME customer service! Been staying in the mountains for 20 years and this was the best cottage I ever stayed in for cleanliness, customer service and comfort. King size bed, two queen beds, and two full bathrooms give space to larger parties. Also, look above the Fridge in the cabinet, there is a treasure chest of food, coffee, Adult beverages and other items guests seem to leave for one another when they leave. Great Place!
Owner's reply: Thank you Mike and Faith, we enjoyed your company and hope you return next year. In addition to Mikes description of the many stores coming to Weaverville we will have a Publix opening in Jan.2017
“Brian and Kim's Cottage Weaverville NC”
We stayed at Brian and Kim's Cottage in Weaverville, which is 10 minutes from downtown Ashville, NC for three (3) weeks. The cottage is a 3 bedroom two bath home that is well maintained and delightfully appointed. The attached garage is certainly convenient for coming and going regardless of the weather. The deck around the side and back of the cottage serves the bbq'ers well. Initially, we were looking to stay in downtown Ashville but were fortunate that it did not work out. Brian and Kim's cottage is in a country setting which we enjoyed. There is a commercial operation across from the cottage but it did not interfere with our peace and tranquility. Brian and Kim were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. They are a charming couple. We would return if we come back to the Ashville area.
Owner's reply: Thank you John and Judy we enjoyed your stay and look forward to a return visit in the future.
“Awesome Mountain Cottage”
Very clean and spacious cottage in a nice quiet area - but so close to downtown Asheville. Lots of great sites all within 20-30 minutes of this location. Full kitchen with all the amenities if you want to cook "at home". But my favorite part is the large deck with the view of the mountains!!
Owner's reply: Thank you Joanne for your visits, we always welcome your visits.Kim & Brian
“great vacation stay”
We enjoyed the cottage very much. Brian and Kim are very nice and gave us ideas what to do in the area. The house is big and well kept. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, eating dinner and watching our son catching fireflies. We would highly recommend it and we would definitely consider coming back. Thank you Kim and Brian.
Owner's reply: Thank you Stephanie, we enjoyed your Family's visit and look forward to seeing you again.
“Kims Cottage home”
Your cottage home was so very nice and very close to our son's home up the road on Calvary Dr. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed we ever slept in. Such a lovely home and loved the deck to sit on. Never expected to have all the comforts of home. Hope to return next year. Too cute, our grandson got up and said he wanted to go to grandpas house. :-) They came to have breakfast with us, fun. Thank you. Sally
Owner's reply: Thank you, Sally and Jeff for your generous review, we enjoyed your stay and look forward to your next visit.
“Home Away from Home”
The ideal setting. A little home away from home. Every comfort and amenity was at our fingertips. Close to activities but far enough away for peaceful relaxation. We look forward to returning again and again!
“Wonderful vacation rental in Weaverville, NC”
Kim's Cottage is a restful and comfortable home to stay while enjoying the many activities in nearby Asheville. Dining in downtown Weaverville is a pleasure especially at The Glass Onion. It was delightful to relax on the cottage deck each evening with the cool air and beautiful lightening bugs. All amenities were available at the cottage and cleanliness was outstanding. Kim and her husband were wonderful hosts!
“What a great Deal! This should be your 1st choice”
I just can't say enough great things about this cottage. First Kim and Brian were very gracious hosts making sure we had everything when we arrived. They walked us through the house and showed us all the controls. The living room/kitchen area is large and feels like home. Great recliners. Flat screen TV, VCR,DVD,cable, Wi-fi are all provided. Kitchen had all the pots, pans, plates, cups we needed. Even has a dishwasher! Master bedroom was large. bed was comfy and plenty of room in the closet and dressers. 2nd and 3rd bedroom also were nice size and had room to store clothes. There is an attached garage so you don't have to deal with the weather when leaving or arriving. There is a side and back deck that are huge. Pleanty of room to relax or eat in provided patio furniture. We even used the new gas grill to make dinner. There is also a nice large yard for kids. As far as location, it is 15-20 mins from Asheville and only 5 mins from most highways. Walmart/Lowes/Banks/McDonalds/CVS/DQ/Bojangles are 5 mins away and there is a gas convenience store 2 mins away. if you are looking to stay in this area...MAKE THIS YOUR FIRST CHOICE!!!!!
Owner's reply: Thanks for the great review Mark, we enjoyed you and your family's visit and hope you return again soon. Brian & Kim
We came to motorcycle the mountains around Ashville. This was in the perfect spot because we did not want to stay in busy Ashville. Weaverville had everything we needed. The house was perfect. We were able to park the bikes in the garage. We sat out on the deck in the evenings. The weather was great. Cool in the mornings and evenings. We missed the sign on the corner and got a bit lost finding it the first time. We were there with another couple so sharing the bath became a little tricky but worked. It was nice to have the washer and dryer right there also at no charge. Kim & Bryan were very good host but left us to come and go as we pleased.

We had a wonderful time in your lovely Cottage! It's the perfect home away from home, everything you need and so relaxing! A perfect location to all the nearby attractions, rafting, hiking and the rivers. Thanks Brian & Kim.

Brian and Kim have worked hard to make this a comfortable place and it shows. The place is very clean and comfortable. I would change the shower heads in each shower, as it was very hard to stay to rinse long thick hair.
The home is fully furnished and you are made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The area is beautiful, I would have liked to have utilized the outdoor deck more, however the weather was unusually wet for this time of year due to a hurricane of the coast.
I would recommend Kim's Cottage to anyone, it is a great getaway. Far enough out to be quite and peaceful. However just up the road from Walmart and downtown Weaverville and about 30 mins to Asheville.
