Owner Supplied Testimonials

We are on our way and have once again had a wonderful time at your house. We would love to rent again from you next summer. Thanks very much again.
August, 2015

Hi Suzanne- what a couple days! Had an awesome whale watching trip Wed and this morning we went out fishing with a guide and caught several nice striped bass. Great weather too! Thanks for a great place to stay!
May 2014

This is a “Thank You” to the Greys for sharing their lovely home through VBRO! We have rented on the Cape several times and this home was the best we have been in to date! The Greys were very gracious and easy to work with and obviously wanted us to be comfortable. A detail of the home that we really appreciated was the wood walkway from the drive way to the front of the house and then around to the outdoor shower (a must on the Cape to rinse off a day at the ocean or bay!) Everything in the house was well maintained and the location is great. Many thanks!

Hi Suzanne
Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for allowing us to stay
in your wonderful home. We can't believe it's already time to go
tomorrow! You have been very helpful through the whole renting process
and your husband too coming over the other day :)
Again thanks for a wonderful vacation.
July, 2014

Just wanted to let you know that we all had such a wonderful time at your house. It was the best vacation ever.
Thank you for everything. We are hoping to be able to come back next summer. No more camping- the house is where it's at!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What can we do with kids in Wellfleet?
A: Here is a sample of a day…
Morning at the bay beaches or the ocean beaches Newcomb Hollow Beach or White Crest (maps at house)–there are grey seals at the ocean beaches who are as curious about us as we are about them, but will not harm anyone or get too close. Bay beaches are best at half tide or full tide. Picnic lunch at the beach (small cooler is at the house for you to use along with beach chairs and boogie boards for the kids)
After lunch go to Long Pond and go for a swim to the raft- lots of kids there to play with, or go to Gull Pond and rent a kayak or paddle boat. Or come back to the house and walk to Dyer Pond!
Dinner at Moby Dick’s, The Bookstore or Mac’s Seafood at the Pier, followed by ice cream at the Pier.
Then to the WHAT Theatre (on Route 6) for a kids play- they will love it. Info about the WHAT plays and schedule is on the internet. (Wellfleet Harbor Actor’s Theatre)

Wednesday evenings are square dances at Mayo Beach parking lot. Thursday and Friday evenings there are live bands at the tent at Baker's Field across from Mayo Beach (walking distance from the house)-no cost. Monday and Tuesday evening Shakespeare for kids at the same place, also free.

Go to Provincetown and take a whale watch on the Dolphin Fleet – staff on the boat are scientists who track the whales every year as they migrate from New England to the Caribbean.
Q: What else is special about this area of the Cape?
A: Go to the National Seashore in Eastham to find out about hikes, yoga on Coast Guard beach and other free activities. The Audubon in So Wellfleet for bird watching. Go to the Flea Market at the Wellfleet Drive In-find treasures and souvenirs-very inexpensive! Go on a cool day if possible! And go back again at night to see a movie at a true old fashioned drive in. Turn on your radio for the sound (ask at the gate) so you have less static than using the speakers.

The Wellfleet Audubon is wonderful for bird watching and learning about nature. Trails along the bay, etc.
You can rent bikes at the South Wellfleet General Store and ride the bike path right behind it, and stop for an ice cream or lunch along the way. This path is the former railroad bed which has been paved.
Q: What is special about this location?
A: It is very quiet, relaxing. The proximity to the fresh water ponds. Also, you never have to deal with Rt 6 traffic! Just take the Long Pond Road over the bridge to the village, galleries and shops, restaurants and bay beaches.
