“Old Salt Feels More and More Like Home”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2016

We have now stayed at Old Salt two Octobers in a row (2015-2016). Can't imagine staying elsewhere. Clean, comfortable, well located....can't say enough about how pleased we are with Old Salt. Looking forward to being here in October 2017.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the kind words Bob. Hope to see you next year.

“So much more than "2 kayaks included"!”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2016

I left part of my heart in Old Salt when I left three days ago (and apparently my favorite pair of blue fuzzy socks, too!) Old Salt is so comfy and cozy that my sisters and I immediately felt at home there. It's tiny, but has plenty of room for comfort. The location is great and the two kayaks were frequently used by us. The beds were comfy, the blankets plentiful, and the appliances in good working order. It was such a pleasant, cottage that, on the second day, I texted my friend to tell her I was going to retire immediately, buy Old Salt, and live there forever. Apparently, Old Salt soaked my North Dakota practicality right out of me! I'm back home now, my sisters and I fondly sharing the wonderful memories in which Old Salt played a part. Yes, I left part of my heart there, but I brought back part of Old Salt's soul with me. That would make it even, if it weren't for the socks!

Owner's reply: HAHA! Nicely put Paula. It's hard to leave Wellfleet!

My wife an I recently stayed at Old Salt for six days. What a wonderful cottage. Very comfortable and convenient to all of Wellfleet. The beach is literally 20 steps from the front door. We could not have been more pleased with Old Salt, and will stay again.

“I love Wellfleet”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2015

The Old Salt cottage is perfect for a family and one who loves the ocean. It is directly across the street from the bay, within walking distance of the tennis courts, play ground, wharf take out restaurant, two excellent restaurants and downtown Wellfleet. It is a very short drive to the Wellfleet ocean beaches. I loved that there are two showers, one outside with hot water for after the beach. TV is available and WiFi. Three bedrooms. Very clean, light and airy. Fully equipped kitchen.

Owner's reply: Thank you Sarah. It was great talking to you about Wellfleet.

“a sweet place in a perfect location”

This very comfortable, fully equipped sweet cottage, offers very comfortable accommodations for up to six people. There is a beautiful view and it is directly across the street from the bay beach, close to the pier and to town. For us, it was a perfect, refreshing, and relaxing vacation.

Owner's reply: Glad to have you Adele!

We absolutely loved our stay at Old Salt. The cottage is beautiful and extremely clean. The area has so much to offer and is so close to many things we wanted to do. The beach is beautiful, and our weather was perfect. Can't say enough positive about our stay. It was wonderful and we truly enjoyed ourselves with all the comforts of home. We'll definitely be back!!!

Owner's reply: You did get some nice Fall weather Pam, great time to be in Wellfleet.

You have a lovely cottage, thanks for letting us use it. We had a wonderful time and will certainly be back.
Loved the openness of the cottage, might just go back home and rip out my ceilings.
