Wonderful time at this super clean (no tzchachkes or carpet) very spacious and comfortable house. We had 2 families (10 people) and one day due to weather we were all inside. No problem: 2 family rooms, table tennis, billiards, big kitchen, games, puzzles and PS2. Kids were very happy. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Only thing I would suggest is that if you are going to have dvd and PlayStation, have a few DVDs and games. Not a big deal because lots of puzzles and tourist info. Did I mention it was very clean?! Irena was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review and suggestion. We'll be sure to have DVD's and games for the future.

“Fabulous House”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2016

We spent a terrific week in September in this fabulous house. It is very spacious, beautifully furnished including top of the line appliances and every kitchen/dining accessory you could want as well as the awesome lower level game room with pool table, ping pong and giant tv. The location is perfect, close to both Wellfleet and Eastham beaches. The huge back deck overlooking the woods and water is very private and peaceful. We have rented some very nice houses in Eastham and Wellfleet over the last 20 years but this is by far the best. Can't wait to come back again.

“Large house in Welfleet, Mass.”

We really enjoyed the space, the layout of the house, all of the conveniences , the cleanliness, the rec room, the location, and the concern of the owner. It is beautifully located and well decorated with everything that one needs. A guide of directions plus a lovely book of restaurants and activities were in the house. A very welcoming place to stay.

“What a great vacation!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean as a whistle and had everything we needed to cook meals, barbecue, or pack up for the beach. It was much more spacious than it looked in the photos. We had ten family members of three generations and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out together or go off on our own. Plenty of T.V.’s and showers and a finished basement, with a pool table, ping pong table, and entertainment area. There is a gorgeous view in the back across an expanse of marshes all the way over to Cape Cod bay. Two miles or less on either side to the bay or coast beaches, and close to great restaurants, coffee and donut shops, convenient stores, etc. Everything we might have needed was right at our fingertips. We hope to return next year and would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone!

“Beautiful home and location!”

My friends and I had a fantastic time at this Welfleet cape house. It was beautifully furnished with all the comforts of home. It also had many helpful items such as soaps detergents and toilet paper. It has a private backyard with a large porch for relaxation. This home is also a short drive to the most beautiful beaches. My friends and I would highly recommend this home to anyone. (:

“Great vacation home for infants thru grandparents.”

Our three adult children, spouses and their children ages18mos-10yrs were all accomodated well. The master suite over garage allowed us grandparents to have a quiet retreat when toddlers took over. Plenty of space for all to congregate, eat and prepare meals. Much time spent on large patio outside dining room. All we added were gates for the stair cases and then the whole house was kid safe. Short drive to all Wellfleet beaches and ponds. A good time was had by all and home will be top of list when we return!

“Great house”

This home is clean,well-appointed, and in a quiet neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. There is a modern fast cooking stove, and the washer and dryer are on the main floor...so handy. The beds were comfortable and linens and bath towels were provided, which was helpful. The kitchen has lots of dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils. There were spices and some necessaries in stock. It was comfortable and spacious, and convenient to all the things we like to do...Audobon walk, beaches, French bakery, drive in movie, Arnold's, bike rental, and easy to get to Orleans for grocery shopping. There's a large back deck overlooking the marsh where we spent a lot of time just hanging out. It's great for families with children. The dining room table comfortably sits twelve with the leaves in. We would definitely consider returning here again.

“Much more than we expected”

Perfect house for extended family groups or friends wanting both great common spaces and some private area. We had grandparents in a nice room with a private bath on the main floor involving no stairs. My brother and his kids loved the upstairs master/den. My sister and I had the downstairs bedrooms to ourselves. Beautiful view, walking distance to the marsh & beach, very clean and well-stocked with kitchen stuff for "dining in". Quiet, relaxing neighborhood.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

My husband and I began visiting Cape Cod in 2000. We fell in love with the National Seashore area from Eastham to Provincetown. In 2012 we decided on our home in the unique town of Wellfleet. With our 3 children we continue to enjoy fishing and kayaking in Gull Pond, surfing at Marconi Beach, bike riding on the various trails, and hiking at Great Island as well as the natural serenity offered on the back deck.

Simply stated Blue Heron, as the dubbed name, was carefully created to be a home away from home. You will find every convenience here without the responsibility other than to sit back, relax and enjoy. Blue Heron is nested between Mass Audobon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and Fresh Brook salt marsh, therefore when you are enjoying your morning coffee or barbeque dinner on the back deck the surrounding nature will ease your mind and soul. The sunsets are not to be missed especially during low tide as you can walk out towards the bay. If your day is rained out there is no need to worry. You'll find the newly completed Game Room in the basement a great source of entertainment in the form of ping-pong, pool/billiards, sectional TV with large screen TV and pub table convenient for game boards.

Wellfleet is special because 61% of the land is in the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. It is all that you would expect from a quaint rural seaside town. It offers wonderful shops, restaurants, and galleries. Take a short drive from our home to one of the pristine beaches and then finish your day in the warm waters of one of the kettle ponds. Wellfleet is nautical, charming and offers an abundance of shellfish. You can call ahead and pick up your lobster dinner just as it comes off the waters at the harbor.
