What a beautiful place

We stayed in the cottage three days in October 2009. Actually I did not want to leave there, because what a comfortable, warm, and beautiful place in nature! Deep fall, leaves' color was turning, so we enjoyed the great view of Blue Ridge Mountains. We moved from Japan seven months ago, and the house was the best place we visited in the states ever. My mother and all of my family love the house.

Lovely cabin/home with an unbelievable view. Peace and tranquility, back to nature place to be. Thoroughly enjoyed the getaway from daily grind. Nature walks were challenging for the hills, saw some deer. Only drawback was the lack of a flatscreen TV to watch the opening of the football season. Smaller tube TV had to suffice. Local area towns had choice for eating and exploring. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Will do it again.

The nicest rental property we've had! Outstanding views! Watched the 4th fireworks from 7 or 8 different locations (Boone, Blowing Rock, etc) from the deck. Quiet even on the 4th weekend. The cabin is very comfortable with large bedrooms and 3 floors for everyone to get some personal space if desired. Activities were endless. We rented kayaks from Riverside Canoe (highly recommend them) and paddled the South Fork of the New River. The New River State Park area was beautiful. Also played golf at Mountain Aire course about 3 miles from the cabin. Fun mountain course. Didn't do very much hiking but there are plenty of great hikes in the area (along Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, in Blowing Rock, etc). Didn't want to leave.
