In a lovely and secluded - yet central location - in Whitby 'old town', Lavender Cottage is situated in a pretty courtyard setting just off the cobbled Church Street, near the swing bridge and harbour, a five minute walk from the train station, close to shops, restaurants, tea rooms and bars. This is a lovely period cottage located in a pretty and quiet courtyard setting yet very central with the harbour, shops, restaurants and cafés nearby.

Perfect for a family or two couples, Lavender Cottage offers smart accommodation - a lovely base for enjoying all that Whitby and the Yorkshire coast has to offer.

The cottage has a sitting room with a lovely inglenook fireplace, comfortable seating and TV/DVD with a film and book library.

To the lower ground floor is a kitchen diner; the kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine.

The first floor has a smart twin room with two full size 3' single beds and views over the courtyard; there is also a stylish bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and hand wash basin.

The second floor has a good size master bedroom with exposed beams and a double bed.

Pay & Display car park and on-street parking c. 150 yards away (you can park near the cottage to unload luggage). Parking scratch cards are provided which allow you to park in any W Zone in town.

Town: The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
