Nice Place, Expected More
December 28, 2011
Nice Spot near Whiteface Mountain, 15 minutes to lake placid. Ad said Phone, DVD Player and Satilite TV included, but the phone did not work, DVD player did not work and the Satilite TV only had "shopping networks - 15 channels max" I expected more for the money. I would come back at a lower rate knowing what I know now. Beds were nice, full working kitchen and the fireplace is a great feature overall the place was well taken care of.
You are correct, the phone was out & I notified Frontier Communications who repaired the line.
The TV/DVD was working, someone had the remotes turned to TV, not DISH Satellite where all the channels are viewable. I do send a chalet orientation to all renters and have staff available to respond 24 hours a day. Cell phones work great there as well and all my contact numbers are available.
I have informed staff to check out phone & TV after every rental.

A beautiful chalet in the woods! Clean, spacious, conducive to entertaining. Spent one night huddled around the fire pit. Owners make you feel right at home and relaxed with their friendly demeanor and recommendations of local favorites.

The house was clean and comfortable. The house is 20 min to Whiteface Mt. about 40 min drive to Lake Placid. 4 wheel drive comes in handy.
Will be back soon!

We stayed at the Chalet for three nights in early January. Overall excellent experience. Instructions that were provided were helpful and accurate. The Chalet was stocked with all staples, pots and pans, linens, etc. which was very helpful. Situated on a private lot with lots of parking. I would suggest this chalet to anyone. Heats up well in the winter! Cant wait to go back in the summer!
FANATASTIC PLACE TO STAY
January 4, 2011
What a great place. The owner Bonnie was just fantastic and prompt in answering every question! When we arrived the place was SPOTLESS, the view incredible and the location even better. Will definately go again next year and stay here!! We were a family of 8 and there was enough room in the condo for 4 more people!1 FANTASTIC LOVED IT!!
Lake Placid Chalet
October 30, 2010
The chalet was clean & tidy and beautifully situated. It had a lived in feeling, which made it very welcoming. After initial concerns over the heating, we soon had it warm and cosy. Our only complaint wa the the lighting was very poor, with a number of bulbs gone or switches hidden behind cupboards. We would recommend this chalet to any visitors to the Lake Placid region

Wonderful Place to Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this Chalet. It was amazing how well it was set up with everything that we needed and more. Cozy, comfortable and being surrounded by the forest was a real treat. We will definately stay here again :)
Relaxing trip, location and chalet
December 1, 2009
The house was very cosy and comfortable. It is an open floor setup since the gas fireplace, leaving room, dinning area and kitchen (fully functional) are all one big room. This makes it a great place to be with family and/or friends since you can be all together. The darts are fun downstairs. There are also several table games + I left one of my puzzles behind, so have fun! It has two good size bathrooms. There are two gas grills outside and everything you will need is in the garage. Quiet neighborhood, an ideal place for even the busy New Yorker stock market agent to relax!! Lake Placid is a nice little village, about 25' away. It is at its best during winter time (goes well with its history). Jack, the owner of the chalet is very polite and helpful. Great people! Highly recommended, book now and you won't regret it. Also, it has the best price in the area, compared to other houses in the same neighborhood. You will save big $$$, just don't lose it in the stock market. :-)

We enjoyed ourselves very much in this comfortable summer home. The house itself is well-laid out, with a spacious sleeping loft, two good-sized bedrooms, and a very pleasant kitchen/living area. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we appreciated the satellite television and DVD player during the evenings. The area is convenient for shopping, hiking, boating, etc. We would recommend this chalet highly to anyone looking to relax in the Adirondacks, summer or winter.

Stayed at the 46er
March 20, 2009
It was not that property but the 46er that we choose located at 72 Juniper Ln, Wilmington. Beautiful and relaxing place, all organised, hot tub, magnificient view of Whiteface Mountain. Everything was perfect! In the middle of the wood, far from everything.
Cozy Mountain Chalet
March 5, 2009
We had a great time at your chalet. The place was better then its description and close to all of the attractions such as Whiteface and Lake Placid. The house was clean, well appointed and cozy. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the Adirondack experience and still be near the action. Five stars.
Good house bad expierence

As good as it gets!!
October 6, 2008
I could not have been more impressed with my stay at this chalet. It is in an excellent location near Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. The chalet itself is beautiful and had everything you could need or want. Whether you're sitting on the deck with a warm cup of coffee listening to the peaceful sounds of nature, or getting cozy by the fire, this place has it all to make your stay a memorable one!! I can't wait to go back!
cute but disappointed
September 23, 2008
The house was very cute and clean but the hot tub (which is no longer posted on the ad) was broken and the trees have grown in and you cannot see any view of the mountains. The hot tub is also in a musty basement. We left two days early and spent the rest of our honeymoon with friends in Burlington.
Exceeded My High Expectations
June 24, 2008
My family and I were impressed by the following: the chalet was very clean and all linens were very fresh; each bed was very comfortable; the kitchen and living room area made us feel at home; the land and surrounding area was beautifully green, quiet and refreshing; and the area hiking and dining recommendations and instructions on how to orient us further made us feel like we were welcome guests to treat and experience this chalet as if it were our home. It was better than our home. We felt like we experienced a retreat in a beautiful setting. We had a tree house view from the deck as we sipped our morning coffee. And, the Adirondak chairs were so comfortable - perfect for reading, relaxing and even a little nap on the deck on near a small fire.
Renters be aware of an inconsiderate owner
March 30, 2008
If you are considering renting this place, I want to warn you: the owner is totally inconsiderate and puts money ahead of everything else. My husband and I planned on staying in Jack's house for four nights in March. We paid upfront for the full stay, but due to unfortunate family circumstances, had to leave Jack's house two hours after we got there. (My husband's father, who lives abroad, was diagnosed with brain cancer and my husband had to leave the US in a rush to be present at the surgery after his mother's emergency phone call). We left the house exactly as we found it. Nevertheless, Jack refused to refund ANY money to us. Being a manager in a big corporation, I perfectly understand what it means to run a profitable business, but I don't accept profits making a person totally insensitive and inconsiderate.
Beautifull, Secluded, & Cozy Home away from Home!
January 29, 2008
Everything was way more than expected. We had a wonderfull vacation. The house was located only 10 miles from great skiing. Everything you could possibly need was in the house. The house was very clean. Everything was perfect!! We would definately come back and refer our freinds and family.
All I Could've Wanted
January 19, 2008
Quiet, comfortable, spacious, clean, all the amenities from home and cheap to boot. We especially liked the dart board, the hot tub and the seclusion but there is something to appeal to everyone in the chalet. The place was wonderful and the owners are even better. They were courteous helpful accomadating and made everything convenient. I'll be sure to rent it again next year!
Peace & Serenity
November 11, 2007
I have to tell you this place was a wonderful find and we cannot wait to come back this winter to ski. The description of the chalet is right on, all wood interior, warm & cozy and it is better then home. You get to enjoy the heavenly Adirondacks, the magic of Lake Placid and at the chalet peace and quiet. There are two TV's, music player, hot tub, games and a lovely fireplace. The rent is so much cheaper then others, the home is very clean and I recommend you give it a try.

Heaven on earth
September 25, 2007
I thank my lucky stars that we located this rental. The owners are really nice, and made us feel VERY comfortable in their chalet. It seemed that our every wish was their command. The chalet was clean and furnished in a way that I would have furnished my own- had I been lucky enough to have such a delightful place. "Staples" were stocked in the home, on an honor system. The chalet was located in a glorious part of NY- close to Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, and "The High Peaks"- a perfect area for outdoor activities. If we do not buy a place ourselves in that splendid area, we will certainly want to rent this marvelous Chalet again.
