Overall, we had a very nice visit. Could use some new bed linen and pillows. New Pots would be useful. Cupboards and under beds especially needed some cleaning. Beautiful house and surroundings. Thank you

We had planned a trip to Virginia to renew our wedding vows. We had been married for almost 29 years. We had our immediate family with us, ten in all. When we got there it looked nice, nemodeled. The first thing we noticed it did not have a crib like it said, and then we noticed the master bath had a clogged sink. We called the company we had rented through and no response for the four and one-half days we were there. The room that had butterflies on the wall had broken blinds and garbage in the closet. The house was very dirty especially the kitchen. The cupboards were gross, dirty, they obviously had'nt been cleaned in a long time. The pots and pans were dirty. The whole house was dusty and dirty. The laundry room and master bedroom floors were very dirty. I actually mopped the master bedroom the first day. The beds were not made, aftering traveling for five and one-half hours I had to make seven beds. There were not enough pots and pans and towels. Some of the sheets needed washed.

This property was awesome, but all the swimming pools and facilities they say you are aloud to use is not true, they not aloud to let you use them unless you lease the property for one year or more and if you do rent this property anyhow pay the cleaning fee upfront and don't try to clean it because they will charge you a cleaning fee anyways, we had this home very neat and clean but they still charged us.

I just wanted to say that this property is a very convenient location for the surrounding activities. However, the house itself is filthy..you have to clean up after the people that stayed there prior to your stay and then you are charged a cleaning fee, after you did everything that was asked of you. The doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms do not lock and the rooms are not at all the same as what is pictured, neither is the deck. There are no towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, garbage bags...etc. This house is very misleading and the property owner is extremely unpleasant. She "hadn't seen" the house before we arrived so she didn't know what condition it was in..but she supposedly took pictures of how filthy it was when we left it...the day we left it...Hard to believe..I would never rent from this woman again...bottom line the house itself..when you check in will be disgusting...I think she charges a cleaning fee and never has it cleaned!

We thought the place had lots of potential, but were dissappointed with the home. It is still in the process of being renovated--the ad said it was completely renovated. There were dead bugs, loose or broken fixtures ( ex. toilet paper roll holder torn off wall, bedroom and bathroom locks that don't work); the master bedroom windows were void of curtains; the back deck was filthy and uninviting; we were unable to connect to the WiFi to access information about local attractions, etc. We were looking forward to the marina offering Charter Fishing, but they've canceled that. On the positive note, the Jacuzzi was nice (we used it once)and the neighborhood is nice and in an area that makes it easy to access area attractions. We've rented many homes in the past years and felt this home was one of the least satisfying, probably due to the expectation that it really was `completely remodeled.' It has alot of potential, but needs quite abit of work to live up to expectations.

We weren't at the home much but we enjoyed it when we were there. We went to Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown Beach and museum, Jamestown Settlement, Ripley's Believe it or Not, and shopped at the Prime Outlets. My son and I even had time to go fishing in the James River, York River, and the Chesapeake Bay! Next year we are staying at the home for 2 weeks and going to check out the Virginia Aquarium, Nauticus, and all the stuff in Norfolk and Virginia Beach! Richie D'Angelo

The home is cozy and warm. We saw Busch Garden's Christmas Town and visited Colonial Williamsburg. It was a nice Thanksgiving get away. : ) Jennie Stewart

Great Location close to Water Country and Busch...2 grocery stores and 2 dollar stores are within a 3 minute drive! The Kids had a great time. -Jason Richards
