Description from owner

Charming log cabin on a beautiful 12-mile long lake in Central Maine with great room and front porch. This cabin was built in 1930 (by my grandfather) and recently updated. It is full of character and will give you a fantastic "Maine" experience. One bedroom with a double bed and one with 2 twin beds. There is also a guest cabin with 2 twin beds, a bunk bed and a half bath. 160 feet of lakefront with a new dock and a 16' canoe. The camp is on the West shore of the lake and looks out on pristine pine-covered islands which are within paddling distance for picnics and exploring. Loons will serenade you at dusk. Washer/dryer. Great fishing. (note: no TV, wifi or telephone, although there is cell reception)

Beds: 1 Double Bed, 6 Twin Beds

“Fantastic location!”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2016

I've been doing a fishing weekend with a group of friends for many years, this year was the best! The location of this cabin is perfect. It feels more secluded than you would think based on the location, and being close to the main road makes running out to the store a quick trip. Also convenient to a boat launch (right around the corner) and gas on the lake (about 150 yards up the bay, and very reasonably priced for on-lake gas). The cabins are in fantastic condition, the back cabin seems like brand new and the front cabin is recently renovated. They comfortably handled 5 people and were well furnished, we were not wanting for anything kitchen related. Also plenty of parking and enough room to turn around with a boat trailer attached. Fishing on Cobbossee was excellent! Everyone caught plenty of fish, even landed a nice white perch right off the dock. The property owners were very responsive to emails. I asked about where we could find the best lobster roll and they responded immediately with a suggestion, then again the next day after they had spoken with some of their friends and got another suggestion. We will certainly be coming back for another fishing weekend here in the future...

“Great Rustic Getaway”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2016

What a wonderful place for a bunch of "old guy " fishermen! Beautiful lake, good fishing, terrific views. The owner was terrific to deal with. Some people might miss the lack of some modern touches like TV, WiFi, whatever but for us it made for a nice, quiet week away from the craziness of today's world. Hoping to return next year.

“Wonderful vacation”

What a great vacation! The cottage is rustic, charming and has everything you need. Right on Lake Cobbosse where fishing and boating are ideal. Can't wait to go back.
